Beautiful and Unique Canyon Home

If you’re travelling to San Diego, why not experience California living at its finest? This beautiful, three bedroom, two bathroom open floor plan home sits on a large, peaceful canyon. And while you’ll feel like you’ve gotten away from it all, you’re just a short drive to all of San Diego’s famous attractions. 5 miles to San Diego Zoo; 10 miles to SeaWorld and Airport.

This unique home is a sanctuary for those seeking a peaceful escape from their hectic lives. The large patio has a prominent water feature that beckons you to relax and enjoy the view. Another patio is perfect for a quiet dinner, complete with BBQ grill and seating for four. As you venture into the hillside yard, you can unwind in the private hot tub while enjoying the lush landscaping that surrounds you.

There are large windows throughout, including five sets of French doors, that flood the house with natural light. The home remains private with gorgeous views to the canyon and landscaping.

The master suite has a queen sized bed, fireplace and spa-like master bathroom with walk around shower and large skylight. The front guest room has a king bed and the sun-room facing the canyon has a full-sized bed. There is also another queen bed in a small studio in the backyard (no bathroom). The home can accommodate 5 people throughout.

**Children will need approval. The home is not ideal for the very young due to water features and canyon stairs. Renters must be respectful of noise levels. Beautiful Home in Central San Diego
This canyon-side home is beautifully decorated with art and furnishings displayed in a modern SoCal architectural style with uniquely textured walls and lovely outdoor spaces. The location is very quiet but requires a car to get to other parts of the city. This is a high-end home with lots to recommend it, particularly to renters who can appreciate the unique design and decoration and don't mind a few quirks with some of the practical elements of this home. Fully equipped and furnished for a lovely vacation - we would love to come back!

Absolutely loved our stay. The home has everything you need and is lovely. Outside area is very private and lots of seating. Only downside was no A/C but with the doors open there was a good breeze and it cools down at night. The property manager was very responsive and helpful. Overall a great stay and if/when we return to San Diego we’ll try to stay here again.

Fantastic Property!
We loved staying at this property. The house was comfortable and very unique. All of the rooms were large and the outside spaces were very lovely. The home is in a delightful neighborhood, with easy access to the 8 Freeway, and it seems everything we wanted to do was within a 15-minute drive. I loved walking through the neighborhood and enjoying San Diego's sunshine and very temperate mornings. Communication with the property manager was timely and very responsive. There was also a binder full of information waiting for us when we arrived. I would absolutely consider staying here again when I am in San Diego again.

What a treasure!
I am so fortunate to have found this unique oasis in the canyons iof San Diego. Its location is very close to the beaches, old town, gaslamp District and the border It served as my homebase for six weeks and I wish I could’ve stayed six more. This home had a plethora of surprises with its unique design and layout. You could comfortably entertain six people. I have rented many San Diego VRBO’s over the years as I have escaped from the winters of Minnesota. This house stands out over all others. . The gardens and patios are multi level and contain fountains, hot tub ,a guest house and lovely flora and fauna., Everything I needed was made available, including kitchen appliances , cookwear , linens, blankets, and lots of other amenities. It is located in a quiet residential area, which is safe and beautiful. There is no lack of parking. My small dog had access to the large area of the entire backyard witch was fenced in. The host was always available and had quick responses to anything I needed. Quite frankly, I can’t say anything negative about this place and I plan to come back again. Consider this home for a one of a kind setting to enjoy beautiful San Diego. , This is 5 stars plus .

Peaceful neighborhood, great view
This home is a very interesting property. Each room is a unique layer of unexpected discovery. Walking the dog around the neighborhood felt safe and friendly. Upon arrival, you immediately think it’s a very small cottage, don’t be deceived, as it opens itself up to reveal more around each corner. Many levels, sections and surprises will await you. The outdoor living space was our favorite. Clem’s Taphouse is a very delicious small bistro within walking distance. Great beers, wines, pizzas and sandwiches. The lighting in the home was a special delight. It would be an ideal neighborhood to take children trick or treating.

Gorgeous Canyon Home
I can’t imagine that any home could be more commodious than this one! The beds and sheets, sectional and armchairs were as comfy as they were pretty. The master bedroom is a sanctuary away from the rest of the home with its French doors that open to the outside so one can enjoy a breeze and listen to the rippling water fountain. There was a thoughtful welcome basket of snacks, and soap, shampoo, paper towels, and food wraps were all stocked. The only thing that differed from the listing was the grill…when my husband went to fire it up as a test prior to our first dinner, we found that the burners were rusted out, rendering it unusable. We did inform the helpful property manager Randy, so hopefully Todd will replace it with a new one for future guests to enjoy! Other than the grill, we found EVERYTHING about this home to be delightful and perfect. We will absolutely stay here again!

Beautiful Home
This is a beautiful in lovely neighborhood close to dining, shopping and all that you would want to do in San Diego. Beds are comfortable, yard is a retreat with water feature and comfortable furniture. It is well stocked with all we needed for comfortable multi week stay. The property manager is extremely helpful and engaging. I recommend this property and would stay again.

This home has such great architecture and the seclusion and views were spectacular, all while being just minutes from activities. Plenty of space to spread out or hang out. Will definitely be looking for this home again next time out west.

Amazing home!
This house is amazing! Open and large enough for everyone to have their own space but cozy enough for us to all enjoy time together. Beds were super comfortable and although we're from Texas and tend to be used to the a/c, we slept with the windows open and it was perfect. Everything we did was about 20-30 minutes from the house so it was a nice, central location. Randy was a great host - very helpful and responsive. I'd honestly visit again just to stay here. Thank you for a wonderful time!

Why they chose this property

I love this home as it blends beautifully with the canyon and lush tropical landscaping. I added an additional bedroom to the front in 2012 which dramatically changed the curb appeal and gave it the street presence you see today. I look forward to hosting you and know you will enjoy this private sanctuary as much as I have.

What makes this property unique

This home offers many unique features. The interiors were fashioned by a famous designer named Steven Chase. The home has an abundance of high-end finishes and surprising details like large industrial skylights, textured walls, French doors and numerous windows, recessed illuminated alcoves, mirrored walls, a spacious open floor plan, and under-cabinet lighting.

The grounds are private and from inside the home, the view drops below you into the canyon. The yard is filled with lush, tropical landscaping, a hot tub, deck, patio and a circular flow that blends with the welcoming feel of the home.
