Enjoy a pristine living space and large windows that frame the ocean, and walk right down to beautiful Big Stump Beach to explore tidepools, fly kites, and take leisurely strolls along nearly six miles of sandy beach.

This thoughtfully renovated oceanfront property is one of the Cape Cod Cottages, a charming community of rustic retreats just south of Waldport. When you're not boogie boarding or collecting seashells, hop in the car for a scenic drive to Yachats (six miles south), majestic Cape Perpetua, and Thor's Well (eight miles south).

The only bathroom is accessible through one of the bedrooms.

Great location, BUT

I would love to leave 5 stars, but a few preventable issues prevent that. The location and view are stellar. The unit itself has been thoroughly updated, very clean and spacious. Great beach access. Kitchen is well outfitted, EXCEPT for NO cutting board. Very hard to cut even a few things in the dinner plates. Countertop already showing signs of others not using a plate to cut on. Should have been an easy fix. Then there’s the towel hanging situation. There is none. 3 little picture hanging hooks do NOT WORK. maybe if the towels had loops, but they do not. The door of the electrical panel can work. But the saddest, most regrettable feature is the placement of the hot tub. It is in front of the living room picture window. So if you are sitting there, the ocean is just barely visible. Note: HOT TUB NOT SHOWN IN PHOTOS. Could have been place between living room and bedroom windows. The view from the bed is lovely, however. I hate when owners go for cheap, and short lived furnishings. Throw away the broken dresser, it is not going to get any better. A number of other frayed or chipped items in unit also. So 5 stars for view and cleanliness. One star for ignoring details.

Annual visit to Waldport

Great location, quiet place, fabulous ocean view, hot tub on deck overlooking Pacific ocean. Stunning. Laundry and game & rec room available on site, but ask management how to access as wasn't obvious, because you need code for door lock. Only thing lacking are places to hang towels and clothing, swimsuits, etc. Because it allows pets, you might find pet hair on furniture. But, that is minor compared to the positives it offers.

Great location

The cottage is steps from the beach with an ocean view from the main room and bedroom. The hot tub on the deck was clean with ocean sunset view. Bring warm slippers in the colder months.

Lovely!

What a great place to spend a few magical days on the pacific coast. This is a well maintained house and property. The hot tub overlooking the beach was amazing! The bed was super comfortable and everything was clean. We used the gas fireplace to warm up and there are two large TVs. The location is wonderful--just a few steps down to the beach. We stood on the deck and watched sea lions feeding as they swam north every day that we were there. There is a nice communal game room with ping pong that the kids loved, and the washers and dryers worked great. This rental is a fabulous place to explore the OR coast from!

The room was exceptionally clean. The bed was comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked. The fireplace didn’t work, which was one of the big reasons why I chose this particular place, as well as the hot tub. Only a few jets worked in the hot tub. I was never able to get the lock on the front door to work. I had to call and use the key in lock box. It too was difficult to use in that lock. The roof vent, which I believe is right above the stairs is super noisy at times. Not sure if it was the wind or what it was. I’ve never a noisy roof vent, but it was loud. I would stay here again if the fireplace, jets in hot tub and roof vent were fixed.

Great beach location

It’s just a short walk down to the beach which was not all that busy during week days in the fall shoulder season. The apartment had all the basics and a great view off the deck. We never used the hot tub so I don’t have any thing to comment on for that. A couple improvements that could be made are more comfy deck chairs and shelves in the shower. Overall, I really like the place and would stay here again.

Great location and views. Could be a bit cleaner The couch needed a vacuum lots is sand on it and the counter tops needed a wipe down before we could unpack. The kitchen could use some glassware Our dogs loved the deck. We would go back to the cottages again maybe try another unit

Nice little cottage

The cottage was perfect for the two of us - sliding doors in the living room and bedroom opened onto a private balcony/patio with an unobstructed view of the sandy beach and ocean - we sat out there and watched whales most afternoons. Everything was clean and neat - there were plenty of towels provided in the bathroom, as well as beach towels in a basket in the bedroom and the kitchen had a good supply of cooking pans and utensils. Although the listing says it would sleep 4, the "extra" bedroom is actually a sofa bed in the living room - there were only 2 of us, but with more people it may have felt crowded. We would certainly stay here again!

Clean and comfortable, could use some improvements

We love coming here and the place is always clean and comfortable. This time around we were left with only one wine glass, not a big deal, but it would be nice if management would spring a few more dollars to replace missing items like that, as well as buying some decent TP and paper towels. For the price I expected better. It would be nice to have some sturdy Adirondack chairs on the deck rather than the flimsy plastic chairs they provide that tend to crack that risk scratches and cuts. Some repairs are needed, such as an outside light out back hanging by its wires, and a partition, designed to stop someone from falling from the back deck, wobbling in the wind after working free from a support. The Wi-Fi has a lot to be desired, especially when there are more units occupied, so if you're planning to work from the unit you should consider the lack of reliable internet service. All in all, we were happy with our stay but there are enough small issues adding up that make me question the price.

Cute Unit, Great View, Bad Wifi

This place is super cute and looks like it does in the photos. They did a great job with the remodel. Very close and easy access to the beach. Agree with all of the other reviews. A few small updates would make a big difference. There is absolutely no where to hang anything on the main floor. Our main complaint was the Wifi. I connected with someone from Vacasa almost everyday we were there but it never got better. I think this unit is just too far from where the router is (also a call out that the routers are not in the rooms nor accessible by guests to restart). My plan was to work remotely, thinking the upstairs would be a good office. This is not the place to stay if you had that same idea in mind. The upstairs isn't insulated, so anything you say echo's and the wifi isn't strong enough to take zoom calls even with the camera off. Its barely strong enough to stream tv on the main floor with all other devices logged off. (Another call out is that the Wifi doesn't reach the tv upstairs, so its unusable) We stayed for 8 nights and after the first couple of days we ran out of gas for the fireplace. We called it in Wednesday morning but was not filled before we left on Sunday. Was a bummer since it was so cold. All in all its a very cute place, great layout, amazing views, close to the beach and everyone we spoke with for assistance was very nice. We were unfortunately just not able to get any of our issues resolved while there.
