Hakuna Matata Chateaux is a private log cabin located on a heavily wooded lot in a secluded subdivision in Wears Valley just 2 miles from all the action in Pigeon Forge, TN. Tastefully decorated 2BR / 2 BA cabin with wrap around porch on 3 sides. Cabin features a large hot tub on back deck, an indoor Jacuzzi, flat screen TV's in living room and both bedrooms with cable, free Wi-Fi, phone, gas log fireplace, gas grill, several rocking chairs and a pick-nik table on deck for enjoying quiet time with family and friends. Just minutes from Dollywood amusement park, Splash Country water park, Ober Gatlinburg Ski resort, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and numerous other local attractions. This cabin was nice and cozy. It was close to pigeon Ford and Gatlinburg. The cabin was clean had everything that it needed. The only downfall was the steep driveway.

Mountain Retreat

Beautiful cabin in the hills. Heavily wooded and private. Hot tub on deck was relaxing after going on hikes and to the theme parks. We enjoyed playing pool on our rain day too.

Excellent tranquil location

When you first drive into Sevierville/Pigeon Forge all you see is chaos and you can’t wait to get off the main strip. This cabin gives you the perfect balance of access and escape. It’s literally minutes away from everything and yet peacefully removed from it all. It’s very inviting and homey with a secluded wrap around deck and hot tub you’ll want to use every night. More than enough essentials are supplied and the host is excellent. Thank you for a great experience!

Pet Friendly?

The property was gorgeous and I left there feeling like I had a new lease on life. So calming, peaceful and beautiful. The only problem was that although described as pet friendly, there was no place to take the dogs out without having to drive. Taking them out at night was a bit iffy because of our fear (realized or unrealized) of bears. There was one small spot where they could do their business. A bit more light outside at night would have made us feel safer! All in all, I loved it and can picture going back again. Thank you for sharing this beautiful home.

The property was very easy to find. Very clean. The only thing we found wrong was that he remote to the tv in the downstairs bedroom didn’t work. It may have been just us not knowing how to use it.

Comfy cabin in great location

Our family enjoyed staying at the cabin during Spring Break. Being pet-friendly was a wonderful feature so our family dog could join the trip. This cabin was the perfect size and we all enjoyed the wrap-around deck and hot tub. We were disappointed by the hiccup at check-in when we arrived after 4 PM to find the house hadn't been cleaned. This caused us to lose a day of using the hot tub because it was too cold to get in until the following day. Suggest calling ahead before checking in. Everything else was very good and we truly enjoyed our stay!

Excellent Location in Peaceful Surroundings

A beautiful cozy cabin in peaceful surroundings. We wanted a relatively remote feeling with good access to local amenities and this is definitely that. Our aim was to relax as much as possible, hike and fish. This location is great for all of those things. The hot tub allows for a lot of relaxation 'at home' too. If you are also looking for local tourist attractions, they are also near by however you would not feel that way in the peaceful woods. It is a very well presented cabin. Well equipped to cook and eat in. Well located to eat out and have family fun. We stayed a week and did not want to leave! We would stay there again.

Happy campers!!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The cabin was cozy and comfortable. The deck was very nice - quiet and relaxing. We really enjoyed spending time relaxing in the hot tub. Having the main bedroom and the pool table on the main floor was perfect for our handicapped family member. The driveway was steep but manageable. But the best part was the communication and helpfulness of the owner, Richard. We forgot something valuable in the cabin , called him and he immediately found it. He returned it to us priority mail in just a few days. We would recommend this cabin, but especially this owner, to anyone. Thanks Richard.

Great cabin, amazing location, fantastic host

Hey so this cabin and our stay there was amazing. Everything is really clean and thoughtfully supplied, from the towel hooks near the hot tub to all the little labels on the light switches (there are actually a lot of switches and this is really helpful). The one floor livonf was perfect for us. And the bed was amazingly comfy. Yes the driveway is steep. But its the mountains and not any steeper than any of the roads going near the Great Smokies. And you can park at the top of it easily. And in exchange for a steep driveway you get to sit on the rocking chairs on the porch and feel like you are part of the woods. This was a short drive to all things Pigeon Forge and Gaintlinburg but it felt like you were in your own wooded escape. The partially enclosed porch was also great. Thank you so much for a wonderful place to stay.

Perfect getaway

The cabin was a perfect place for my family and our fur babies to enjoy our week away. We celebrated our daughters birthday and our anniversery and this was my furbabies first time to the mountains. The cabin had evrrything we needed and the dogs loved the wrap around porch and being able to look into the woods. The owner was super nice, and after we checked in he even called to make sure everything was good. Definitely would stay again!

Honeymoon escape

I'm a transplant from New England and my wife, Lisa, grew up in east Tennessee. We have 3 children and have spent a great deal of time vacationing in the mountains of east Tennessee over the years. After retiring from 30 years of law enforcement, we decided to purchase a cabin in the mountains to use as a vacation getaway. We decided to place it on the rental program to help defray the costs associated with owning and maintaining the cabin and to allow others the opportunity to enjoy the area we love so much. We hope you enjoy your stay and strive to make your vacation a memorable one.

Why they chose this property

After looking at countless chalets and log cabins in the Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg area, we found this cabin and knew right away that it had our name all over it. This true log cabin is set on a heavily wooded lot in a quiet subdivision. It is in Wears Valley and just 2 miles from the main drag in Pigeon Forge. The cabin has all the amenities for your mountain vacation allowing you to truly relax and enjoy your stay. The cabin's wrap around covered porch with a large hot tub and several rockers is our favorite feature. The interior has a loft and cathedral ceiling with lots of windows. The tongue and groove pine-wood walls and ceilings, exposed rough-hewn support beams and stone fireplace give it that country charm and comfort.
