About this property

Our holiday home sits in a 1000m2 level plot at the foot of the Gavarres hills. Our prices are inclusive of cleaning every 7 days, bedding/linens/bath towels(for stays of 3 nights or more) Comfortably furnished throughout with air conditioning (free) in each bedroom pre-set to 24 degrees. The villa is well equipped for self-catering, both in the kitchen and garden, where there is a broad covered terrace alongside the large in-built barbecue. There are shady areas under the trees in which to eat, enjoy a drink or simply relax. Especially suited for families with younger children the garden is enclosed and the private pool, which is visible both from the terraces outside and the living room within, has a separate children's paddling pool end. The pool is in the sun from early morning to late evening - meaning it is one of the warmest pools we have ever come across. With the added benefit of a paddling pool end and roman steps into the the main pool. The villa is equipped mosquito nets on bedroom windows for your added comfort. The perfect retreat if you have had enough of the beautiful beaches, countryside and medieval towns. . The village of Calonge close to the beautiful Les Gavarres nature reserve has several good restaurants, whilst within a 15 minute drive you will find the old town of Palafrugell and the pretty cove beaches of Llafranc and calella.

A perfect week in Costa Brava
Vicky's house is ideally located 10-15 minutes by car from the activities on the Costa Brava (beaches, tree climbing, water park, superb beaches in Platja d'Aro) and 5 minutes from a supermarket. An ideal house to spend holidays with family and friends. She has all the equipment you need to have a great week! Thank you to Vicky who listened to us and was very responsive when needed! We will definitely go back!

Relaxing stay in lovely part of the world.
Property is very well located in walking distance to pretty little town Calonge and have some easily accessible walks near by. Beach is just short drive from property (thought parking is not always easy for beach). Owner was very helpful and supportive during strange covid situation. Swimming pool is very reasonable size, possibly is the biggest around. We would happily stay again. Only one thing - the owner and her manager describe the property gate as being green, in fact they look very black in bright sunny day.

Superb gorgeous luxury villa

The villa and property is really breath taking. More beautiful in reality then the photos. All the luxury you need to have a very very relaxing vacation. The villa is modern and very well equipped, everything you need is there already. Excellent pool and allways in the sun. The porch is a very nice place to sit with the family and to cook outside and we loved the ping pong. The cleaning of the villa and the pool and the contact with Janice is superb. The villa is in a good and quit location, excellent to visit all the nearby beautiful places and beaches of the costa brava with the car. We had the best vacation, we really enjoyed all the luxury and loved the villa. We highly recommend this place!

Familienurlaub

Wir haben das Ferienhaus in einem sehr guten Zustand angetroffen. Die Küche ist mit viel Geschirr, Pfannen und Besteck ausgestattet. Es ist angenehm, dass das Haus nach einer Woche geputzt wurde und die Bettwäsche und Duschtücher gewechselt wurden. Auch die Unterstützung von Janice ist toll. Jederzeit wieder.

Shangri-La in Costa Brava

Beautiful home, even better than the pictures. The grounds--pool, lawn, pavers, landscaping—all immaculate. And the accoutrements are peerless, kitchen generously outfitted, clean modern bathrooms, comfortable beds, and surprisingly good WiFi. And great location, easily driveable to stores and beach and only a 35 minute drive from the Girona airport. Communication with Vicky the owner was astounding, matched by the wonderful care given us by the local house manager Janice One thing to be aware of: There is no AC apart from the WiREMS-governed units in the three bedrooms and keeping the house open for breezes inevitably attracts flies. If you are coming in the hottest months I do recommend bringing along some loose mosquito netting to help cover the openings not already screened. All in all, a perfect place for a Catalonian holiday near the sea. For families and kids of all ages. We will never forget it and hope someday to return.

Du début à la fin super! Les échanges sont faciles avec la propriétaire et l intendante. La maison est bien rénovée et bien agencée. Bien équipée aussi. Le jardin et la piscine top. A moins de 10min de plusieurs plage en voiture. Je recommande cette maison !

Sehr schönes Haus mit tollen Pool

Wir hatten hier ganz tolle Ferien. Das wunderschöne Haus liegt in einer ruhigen Strasse, ist gross und sehr sauber. Die neue Küche ist aussergewöhnlich gut ausgestattet, es fehlt an Nichts. Der grosse Aussenbereich hat einen sehr sauberen Pool, der auch für Kinder gut geeignet ist und mehrmals gereinigt wird. Bei der grossen Hitze gibt es auch schattige Plätze und viele Liegestühle. In der Nähe gibt es Supermärkte und zu den Stränden ist auch nicht weit. Bei Fragen haben die Vermieterin und Janice sehr schnell geantwortet. Herzlichen Dank für Alles, wir kommen sicher wieder.

Wonderful holidays

We really enjoyed our stay at Vicky's house. The house was very nice, clean, well-equipped and the pool enjoyed the adults as well as the kids (from the smallest one to the biggest). It is very well situated and you can reach by car within a few minutes very nice towns, beaches, supermarkets, tennis, golf anything you would like to enjoy on your holidays. We really recommend this beautiful house :)

Perfect

Heerlijk genoten. Villa was netjes en schoon. Alles was aanwezig wat je maar nodig hebt. Karen heeft ons super geholpen, we roken gas in de keuken en hup daar stond ze al met een loodgieter. We hadden vragen over en waterpark en hup zij ging gelijk bellen. Helaas hadden we wat problemen met de afspraak voor een antigen test, maar daar ging ze ook achteraan. Kortom een super services. Wij hebben een heerlijke vakantie gehad in een fijne villa.

Super séjour

Très belle maison , surtout les extérieurs ! Terrasse a l ombre toute la journée c est très agréable pour y manger. Le coin est très calme ,idéal pour un séjour calme en famille.

Une semaine parfaite en Costa Brava

La maison de Vicky est idéalement située à 10-15 min en voiture des activités qu’offrent la Costa Brava (plages, accrobranche, parc aquatique, superbes plages à Platja d’Aro) et à 5 min d’un supermarché. Une maison idéale pour passer des vacances en famille et entre amis. Elle possède tous les équipements nécessaires pour passer une semaine formidable ! Merci à Vicky qui a été à notre écoute et qui a été très réactive quand il le fallait ! On y retournera sans hésiter !

Beautiful house with great pool

This lovely house is very well equipped and has a very nice pool and garden. The house is situated close to the Costa brava coast Where you find a lot of small closed in beaches.

Fantastic pool and gardens

We spent two weeks at El Baix Empordà. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool and the outdoor area, there is a lovely shaded area for dining. The house is well equip and comfortable. There's lots to do in the area, but you do need a car to get to the beach and restaurants. Vicky is a great host, she always responded promptly to any questions.

Sehr schönes ruhiges Häuschen in einer sehr angenehmen Wohngegend

Das Haus war sehr gepflegt und sauber, der Außenbereich bietet sehr viel Abwechslung und der Pool war fantastisch. Ebenso war der Kontakt zu der Vermieterin Vicky und der Hausverwalterin Karen super angenehm und beide waren sehr hilfreich. Ein toller Urlaub in einem liebevollen Cottage ohne offene Wünsche.

Leuke huis, goede kamers en hele mooie tuin

Veel ruimte om het huis en genoeg te doen (zwemmen, basketballen, tafeltennis). Tuin is heel zonnig maar er is altijd ergens schaduw te vinden. Bij het zwembad 6 hele goede ligbedden.

Very comfortable villa with lovely garden and pool

Holiday with everything - bbq's and dining in garden, lovely private pool, fab tapas in palamos, lazing on nearby beach, kayaking on lake, superb shopping in nearby playa d'aro topped off with wine tasting and lunch at the beautiful Bell-Lloc vineyard - will be back!

Lovely villa with a fantastic garden

We had a great holiday at this villa. Villa has everything you need equipment wise, although two of the fans could do with replacing as the backs were falling off and therefore made extra noise. It is located in quiet surroundings not far from beaches. The garden is super- lots of grass for children to play. The pool was lovely and clean and warm! My children spent most of the time in it and the toddler end was fantastic for my youngest. Calonge is only a few minutes by car but is a good 20 minute walk which is fine in day but at night the path is pitch black with no lights. Vicky, the owner was very quick at getting bank to us with queries and Karen, the manager was very helpful during our stay. Everyone had a super time!

Schönes Haus für den perfekten Familienurlaub

Das gesamte Anwesen ist sehr gepflegt und lädt zum Verweilen ein. Aufgrund seiner Größe und guten Ausstattung ist es besonders für Familien sehr gut geeignet. Der große Pool, der auch einen kleinen abgegrenzten Nichtschwimmerbereich hat, sowie die Tischtennisplatte und die vielen Sitzgelegenheiten rund ums Haus lassen keine Wünsche für einen entspannten Urlaub offen. Das Grundstück befindet sich in einer kleinen und ruhigen Seitenstraße und bildet einen guten Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge entlang der Costa Brava. Wir können das Haus auf jeden Fall weiter empfehlen!

Beautiful villa - great garden and location

This property is in a peaceful location surrounded by the Gavarre hills. The house is well equipped including a table tennis table and swimming pool toys for children. The gardens are beautiful with a variety of seating in the sun and shaded areas. There are a variety of beaches (driving distance) and towns to visit and Barcelona is a day trip away. I would highly recommend this villa.

Beautiful and peaceful!!!!

The villa is beautiful and perfect for family stays. I loved it so much, very peaceful, very private (how I like it) and I would highly recommend to everyone. The owner, was extremely helpful, polite and prompt with replies. So thank you for everything and would definitely return.

Why they chose this property

We booked a holiday ourselves in Casa Sant Roc on the recommendation of friends who had stayed at the villa themsevles. As luck would have it, the owners had put the property on sale that week. As the saying goes 'we loved it so much we bought it' as our family holiday home. We had fallen in love with Catalonia on a previous holiday and even today find new and charming places to visit, with every activity we can think of within reach.
We found Casa Sant Roc was ideally located to easily get around and enjoy the diversity that Catalonia has to offer - the mountains, beautiful countryside, the sea, quiet coves/fishing ports (Palamos), busy holiday centres - with shopping, activities, waterparks etc (Playa D’Aro), cultural trials (Dali and Medieval legacies), and splendid cities (Barcelona and Girona), whilst the house itself is in a peaceful location near the traditional Catalan town of Calonge nestling under the Gavarres hills.

What makes this property unique

We fell in love with Casa Sant Roc as the house has a large, level,south facing garden (quite unusual in this part of the world). The house is great for families - pool in the sun from early morning to late evening - meaning it is one of the warmest pools we have ever come across. With the added benefit of a paddling pool end and roman steps into the the main pool. A lawn for kicking a ball about on or playing badminton. Shaded areas to sit and several outside eating areas. The house has a terrace for sitting on, built in BBQ and outside sink together with outside dining room.
