Referring back to the review posted October 28, things haven’t improved This could be a nice place with some TLC

Keys trip
First, you walk into the property through a bedroom. Stupid. The screen doors in the front and back kept falling off the tracks. 4 very old bath towels which meant washing constantly. The overall feel was that the place was old. Shower faucet in the one bathroom was ready to come off the wall. And the smell off the canal was the most disgusting smell - I can’t even describe it.
Points lost for not a lot of necessary itemsOnly enough towels for 1 each, no spares The bed in the 2nd room was so high one guest couldn’t get into it, so slept on the sofa, but there was only a spare sheet and no quilt There was only the toilet roll on the holder 1 more, in each bathroom, tiny bottle of dish soap, no dishwashing tabs, (packet was empty)Found 1 tide pod & 1 dryer sheet!! Other than that it was well equipped & clean
I wasn't expecting a 140 resort fee due before proceeding past the gate guard. The gate guard's response to my puzzled look was, "You were aware of the resort fee, right?" The fee is likely (at least I hope) embedded in the TOS. Moving on. The property permits pets but walking one's dog is prohibited. The properties are so small that one must walk a dog. Knowing this property was on a canal with open water access, I was not surprised that it needed some TLC. I think, most folks rent this type of property for ocean activity, which would require near-constant TLC. We were permitted a late check-out. Thank you to the host.We would rent this property again.
Has a nice seawall that can accomodate about a 30 foot boat. Cleaning station for fish was nice also. Actual house unit was older, but nice. We really just used it for cooking our fish and sleeping. The main perks of this place is that it has a seawall on a protected canal to keep a boat, has good channel access to both the oceanside and gulf, and is clean. Marina with boat fuel and boat ramp is in Venture Out neighborhood just a few hundred feet away from this actual unit. Overall a good time.
The house was cute, the canal was peaceful, the resort was awesome! Great place to stay! We had a minor issue with the cleaning, but all was made right by property owners. Would stay here again!!
Overall, had a great time and the Venture Out organization had everything well organized. The unit was older but did what we expected when we weren't on the water. Trailer storage was not ideal, due to the 2 vehicle limit. A few missed spots in cleanliness. Overall a good place. We would stay again!
Loved the location and amenities (not the $125 extra), house was ok for the price could have been cleaner. Easy check in, good communication. Thank you!
