A Peaceful Stay
We loved the quiet, gated community with lovely walking paths, a resort-style heated pool, and beautiful, uncrowded beaches. It's about a 15-20 min drive to most restaurants, which wasn't bad. (Note: We walked to the Cinnamon Beach Grill by the pool for dinner only to discover it is only open until 4). The condo itself was spacious with high ceilings and a balcony with a wonderful view of the beach! However, the furnishings were rather dated. It's a surprisingly short walk to the beach and to the pool which was nice! As far as the beds go, my parents said the bed in the master was comfortable, and my kids loved the twin beds in their room, but my husband and I hated the double bed in the 3rd room. The pillows were totally flat, the mattress topper didn't fit properly, and it was just very uncomfortable -- our backs were aching! The only issue we had was regarding the door lock. First, I was told I'd receive the door code 4 days before check in. I didn't. When I called, they said I'd receive it the day before check in. I didn't. So I called again and they finally gave me the code. Then when we arrived, the code worked, but the keypad on the door was very finnicky. Sometimes it would unlock, sometimes not. And when we left, it often wouldn't lock, and the door would just fly open. It was frustrating to try the code 10 times before it finally worked. I called and reported the issue, and to their credit, they sent a maintenance person within 2 hours and fixed it.
