3 Bedroom Condo slopeside at Winterplace Ski Resort with the convenience of home

Comfortable 3 bedroom 2 bath condo with deck overlooking the ski slopes.

There is a bunk room (1 bunk bed) that sleeps two, a queen bed in each private bedroom with bath, and a double sized futon in the living area. A cozy fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, wide screen tv in living area and smaller tvs in bedrooms add to your enjoyment. Plenty of fresh towels and sheets provided.

IN WINTER: Plan a break from skiing for a bowl of homemade soup (we'll leave the crook pot and the recipe) and a rest in the middle of the day. There are common laundry facilities to dry those wet gloves and toboggans in the building, but none of the crowds found in most ski lodges.

IN SPRING, SUMMER, FALL: This is a wonderful area for all things nature. Go white water rafting, hike the many trails, fish in the trout streams, tubing, kayaking visit one of the many state parks in the area such as Bluestone, Camp Creek, Pipesteam, Greenbrier River Trail, Little Beaver, or Pinnacle Rock. Attend Bridge Day and watch base jumpers leap from the New River Gorge Bridge the 800 ft to the New River Gorge below. So many activities for you to enjoy.

Perfect location, efficiency appartment

The best place to stay to enjoy Winterplace. This no frills apartment has everything we needed. The bunk room is also the entrance and mud room. This is typical of this building. Great place to get ready for the slopes and relax after a day of fun. We had three adults and three teens and it worked perfectly for us. We will be back!

Great location but dirty condo

The location of the property was great. But our condo was dirty, floor hadn’t been vacuumed, food under futon, dirty silverware in drawers and what looked like mouse droppings under sink and in drawer with kitchen utensils. Contacted property manager about living room TV not working on our arrival and never heard back from them around resolution. Wanted to love this place because the location is perfect, but cannot recommend due to being dirty.

Month Long Stay

We stayed an entire month. This property was in a great location to be able to do a lot of hiking and sightseeing. Host was always quick to respond to questions.

farther from hospital than advertised, but nice place to stay

I was nice and quiet up there on the mountain. Now it is really getting pretty with springtime hitting now. It is farther than I was told from the hospital so I had to move into town. I am an OR RN and have to be on call. If you can stay 25 minutes away it is a good choice if you want quiet, pretty and roomy.

Excellent property

This was an excellent property with everything we needed! The owner even thought to leave things like zip lock bags and aluminum foil. It was fun to sit on the porch and watch the skiers when we weren’t out. You can’t beat the ski in and out location. I wish there was a washer and dryer or at least a gear dryer (I ran out of quarters for the community set), but we will still definitely stay here again.

Very comfortable

It was a cozy place to stay. The beds were very comfortable after a long day of skiing. My only complaint is that the carpet needs to be replaced. Everything else was great!

Winterplace condo

Enjoyed my stay. Stayed for 12 weeks. Owner able to work with monthly payments. Condo had no air so I brought my own portable air conditioner which worked out well. Ower purchased air conditioner from me so condo will now be more comfortable. (Had issues getting payment from her for that and was told it wasnt a big deal) Only other issues was that the door has a punch code not once but twice I had someone just open the door and walk into the condo. When I asked the owner she stated that pest control comes once a month( I WAS NEVER NOTIFIED OF THIS UNTIL IT HAPPENED!) And cleaning lady had a code also. My concern was staying by myself, how many people had the code and had access to the condo? Loved the area and quietness of the place.

Snowboarding Fun

This property was just what we were looking for in terms of ski in ski out. There were six of us and we had plenty room to hang out when not on slopes. Kitchen had everything we needed and we would stay here again.

Mini ski/boarding trip

We had to change our dates at the last minute and were thrilled to be able to get into a ski-out condo. There were five of us. Everyone slept on beds and we had plenty of living space and kitchen space as well. Getting to hang out together and interact for all meals made this a great short get-away. The conditions were perfect too.

Stayed a weekend for snowboarding. Great location at the top of a slope. Property owner/manager was very helpful and nice. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to enjoy a weekend shredding the slopes!

Great place at a great price

We stayed here as a family. Nice to be right at the top of a ski lift. There is a place to put your ski equipment at the entrance. We loved the large L-shaped couch. The hand towels and wash cloths didn’t look very clean, so we bought some from a local store. That’s probably the only negative thing I could say about the place. I would recommend that they get rubber trays for under the ski equipment so the snow doesn’t drip on the tile and there is a place to put your ski boots as well. The last condo we stayed in had it and it was a great touch.

great stay when you want to feel at hone

We loved everything , my husband has a fused ankle so we should have requested a ground floor condo. The only other issue was the water. The property owner should have opened the water lines before our arrival so the condo didn't smell like rotten eggs for two days.
