About this property

Ideally located. Set in the outskirts of the small village of Badefols sur Dordogne. A shady private garden of nearly an acre, altogether 25 acres of woodlands and meadows. Badefols (1,5 km) has a bakery and a tennis court, for a complete selection of shops and services as well as bi-weekly markets (Thursday & Saturday) Lalinde is only 5 kms away.
The accommodation is divided in two buildings, the main house and the guest house (with a studio accessible for disabled persons). The kitchen was completely renovated in 2008. English TV. The swimming pool (11x5) is set in a sunny paved terrace in a corner of the property. Safe for children. There is a small pool-house with a fridge.
The property is perfect for 10 guests, has room for up to 12.
Lovely covered patio overlooking the valley, ideal for your meals in the summer.
Along the Dordogne river there are numerous exceptional castles to visit, vineyards to explore and restaurants where you can indulge in some of the local specialties.
The area offers a multitude of activities, such as kayaking, horseback riding, golf, hiking and fishing.

Amazing Place and Atmosphere

We have been to Le Sizel for work and leisure. The property is situated in the middle of a calm contryside, with a little forest. The house is fully equipped for all needs (WiFi, stereo, BBQ, and a screen projector..). The garden and terrasse are fantastic, well entertained, just perfect. Eric, the owner, is a kind, open and available person. Every suggestion from him turned out to be a great success! To go again for sure.

Relaxing stay in beautful surroundings

We had a great week at Le Sizel. The house had more than enough space for us (5 adults and 5 children ranging from 8 months - 5 yrs), and was very comfortable. We particularly appreciated the air conditioning. Pool was safe as it is accessed through a doorway which can be locked, and there's a hard cover for it when not in use. Well equipped house, including the modern kitchen. We spent every evening sitting under the covered area in the garden - wonderful view over the fields. Eric was really quick to answer any questions we had, and a couple of small issues were dealt with quickly. Thank you for wonderful stay in your house - wish it could have been for longer!

Wonderful experience at le sizels badefols

Le sizels is a wonderful property ,a beautiful house and gardens surrounded by countryside. All requirements for a very comfortable family stay have been very considerably supplied. The property is very private and peaceful , and has lots of outdoor space for dining out with a games room in a beautiful barn, and a large swimming pool. Eric and his team have been wonderful hosts who have been very easy to communicate with, we will look forward to returning to le sizels again.

The perfect house for a large family holiday

A charming period farmhouse with plenty of space to accommodate a large family of all ages. Pretty gardens with a superb covered seating area for dining al fresco and an excellent swimming pool. Set in wonderful countryside, the tranquility was magical. We had a very warm welcome from the host and would definitely like to return for another stay.

Maison très agréable

La propriété est géante, il ne manque de rien, la maison est super bien équipée, avec un grand terrain, un baby foot, un billard, une table de Ping Ping et une piscine avec une fosse Un logement accessible PMR (par contre l’accès jusqu’à la piscine en fauteuil roulant est compliqué) Le propriétaire est à l’écoute, répond très rapidement, et très accueillant dans sa super maison

In vergelijking met andere huizen: ondermaats

Oude woning, muffe geur. Woning was allerminst netjes te noemen. Er was sprake van 4 kamers met airco. In realiteit was dit 1 afgesloten kamer + 3 kamers die door elkaar liepen. Dus weg privacy waardoor 1 koppel beneden sliep zonder airco in een kamer met een stinkende open haard. De beschikbare ventilators waren stuk. Althans degene die niet onder een dekentje van stof stond te vergaan. Het zwembad was 50m weg van het huis, tenminste het terras. Er was slechts 1 parasol aan het zwembad beschikbaar. De ijsmaker van de koelkast werkte niet. De verlichting aan het buitenterras werkte onvoldoende. De berging en stallingen waren zeer wanordelijk achtergelaten. Enfin, we kunnen nog even blijven doorgaan. We hebben de afgelopen 4 jaren voor minder geld én meer dagen zeer goede woningen gehad, maar dan aan de Azuurkust zelf We voelen ons bedrogen en bekijken de mogelijkheden. Tenminste opdat andere mensen niet dezelfde fout zouden maken. Deze woning wordt anders voorgesteld dan ze in realiteit is. En het verschil is daadwerkelijk opmerkelijk groot. Mvg

Maison Périgourdine idéalement située

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour dans cette maison familiale, idéalement située dans le Périgord Noir. Très cosie, un terrain magnifique et une très belle piscine. Vacances reposantes et revigorantes. Et au centre de toutes activités ludiques ou historiques. Quelques petits soucis d'intendances durant notre semaine, mais gérés en direct avec le propriétaire qui fait de son mieux pour que nous nous sentions le mieux possible. Ne pas hésiter. Merci.

A gorgeous old period property set in peaceful countryside in good reach of many tourist sites

We had a lovely stay at Le Sizel in August. The house is well looked after and very clean and tidy. It is old and has lots of character! The owner is very responsive and keen you have a great stay. He is quick to respond to any problems/queries and his housekeeper very efficient too. The views and setting are lovely and we really enjoyed the peace and quiet.... We visited numerous places in the area, all easily reached without too long a drive. The Dordogne is a very interesting and very beautiful area of France and we hope to return one day.

Vacances au calme

La propriété est incontournable pour qui veut passer des vacances au calme entouré de verdure. Belle piscine éloignée de la maison. La maison est de famille dans son jus et attention à l'étage une chambre n'est accessible qu'en passant par une autre. La région regorge d'activités, bon pain au village et le propriétaire est très à l'écoute de vos demandes. Nous y avons passé de très agréables vacances.

Wonderful week in a beautiful house!

A fantastic week in a beautiful house. Slept 12 people very comfortably. We really enjoyed the outside area, ping pong table and outdoor dining area. The kitchen is perfectly equipped with all you could need, and the supermarket is just 5 minutes by car. Not visible from the photos is the fantastic view from the house. Couldn't recommend more highly.

Great location, calm, beautiful area.

Vacances idéales !

Nous avons été très impressionnés par le calme de la propriété et la distance avec les premiers voisins. Eric, notre hôte, est une personne qui sait recevoir et soigne tous les petits détails... maison impeccable, literie agréable, la piscine... sans parler de la terrasse couverte ou nous avons pris repas et apéros inoubliables !!! Je recommande fortement !

Un endroit merveilleux et serein

Avec notre famille, nous sommes retournés, cette année, à Badefols sur Dordogne et ne l'avons pas regretté! Le charme de la maison et de la propriété nous ont à nouveau séduits. L'environnement est serein et beau. Les enfants s'en sont donnés à coeur joie dans le jardin et la très belle piscine. La maison est joliment meublée et parfaitement équipée. La région regorge de choses à voir ( vieux châteaux, superbes villages, grottes...) et à faire ( kayaks, balades...)Que demander de plus pour passer de merveilleuses vacances.

Séjour parfait

La maison est idéale : c'est une charmante grande maison périgourdine qui a du cachet. Des équipements sont nombreux et le lieu était parfaitement propre lors de notre arrivée. La situation n'est pas en reste : au beau milieu des champs entre Sarlat et Bergerac, nous avons trouvé toute la quiétude dont nous avions besoin. Nous recommandons vivement cet endroit pour des vacances en famille ou entre amis.

Une maison de charme dans un jardin bien agréable

Avec nos enfants et petits enfants , nous avons eu un séjour très agréable. Amazing Place and Atmosphere

Excellante semaine de vacance pour un anniversaire

Nous avions sélectionné cette location en privilégiant la "situation" et une "ambiance familiale". Nous avons été satisfaits en tous points, la description et les appréciations n'ont laissé place à aucune mauvaise surprise. Les contacts avec le propriétaire sont faciles et l'accueil sur place de madame Lagarde très chaleureux. C'est l'assurance de passer un très agréable séjour en famille au calme et ou tout le monde trouvera son compte quelle que soit la météo, tant les ressources internes que dans l'environnement proche sont riches. A recommander.

Très belle propriété, site calme

Sejour en Dordogne

Maison conforme à notre attente. Literie très confortable, cuisine bien équipée, place pour vivre à 10 personnes sans jamais être à l'étroit. Beaucoup d'attention de la part du propriétaire lors de nos échanges et avec Mme LAGARDE qui nous a reçue. tout est parfait dans cette maison. Je conseille fortement cette location où l'on se sent bien. On est vraiment au calme grace à la position un peu isolée de la maison.
