Had a very nice stay
Check in was seamless and Richard was very helpful. Small hiccup on the original cottage but Richard was able to make things right and moved us to a different cottage. All was well. Very close to Beaufort and great views.

Relaxation and Beautiful scenery
We loved staying in this cottage. It was so peaceful and quiet. We sat on the back porch every morning with our coffee and two dogs watching the yachts and trawlers go by. some waved as we waved to them or they blew their horn. Loved every minute we were there. Caught a red drum and ate it and it was delicious. I Want to go back this fall for another stay.

Small but everything we needed. Very honest owners!
We booked this last minute for our family of 4. We knew we really just needed a place to shower and sleep as we would be enjoying the crystal coast with beaching and both day fishing and night fishing. It worked well for us. The boat dock is beside cottage and made boating so easy. The covered porch was perfect for enjoying a morning cup of coffee and watching the boats cruise the ICW. After checkout I realized I had left something small I sent a text and a few days later it arrived in the mail.

Vacation
This was our second visit to this property and we enjoyed it as much as the first time. After checking in at the office, we were greeted by the owner Richard as we were unloading. He gave us lots of restaurant ideas for the week. Will and Lisa were both very helpful during the week and at checkout. This little fishing cottage is all you need to enjoy some time on the waterway. An easy drive to Beaufort, Morehead City and Atlantic Beach where you will find plenty of food and shopping along with beautiful beaches. We would recommend taking the ferry over to Cape Lookout National Seashore. Hopefully we can get back for another visit in the future. Thank you for an amazing week!

Great Getaway!
Thoroughly enjoyed my visit. This quiet cottage was perfect for my kayaking and fishing itches. The waterfront is just steps from the door, and the fishing pier and boat launch are right next door. Beautiful views of the Intercoastal from the rocking chairs on the back porch. Hosts were helpful and pleasant.

Nice place to park boat on ICW
We booked our stay at the cottage because of its convenient location on the ICW. The cottage is as pictured and described. The owner kindly let us put our boat in before check in. We came back mid morning to get our keys (office was closed when we arrived). We did a walk-through with the owner and back to the office to pay for the slip for the boat and bed linens (I missed that they weren’t included). We were also given an inventory checklist to complete by end of day. Literally a checklist down to how many forks there were... For as much as we paid for the weekend, we felt like this was a bit extreme and it felt like homework on what was supposed to be vacation. We were also notified of a second walk-through on Saturday since the office attendant was “off on Sunday.” So mid-morning Saturday as were getting ready, we go through another walkthrough. Sunday morning rolls around and we’re notified of a “final walkthrough” to ensure “nothing is missing” and that we get our deposit back. It just felt accusatory as if we were going to take something or messed something up when sadly, we were barely there. Again, a great place if you just need a place to stay, keep your boat, and if you don’t mind the in-and-out traffic from the staff and RV park directly beside you. The ICW is perfect for fishing and just a short boat ride to Morehead and Beaufort. We, personally felt we could get more bang for our buck elsewhere.

A view to die for!
We had the most relaxing stay! Sitting on the front porch and watch the boats come and go was just amazing! Then to have a shrimp boat show up at the dock was the topper! All of the people were great and so very friendly! The best part was when the shrimp boat came in they were so nice and gave us a whole pot of FRESH shrimp! The best I ever had! Thank you so much for for letting stay here!

Summer Getaway!
The waterfront cottage was perfect for us and our cat. It had all we needed in a great location. We had access to a boat ramp on the property and was in close proximity to many area activities and attractions. The fishing dock was also a great amenity on this property. The owner and manager were great to work with and very helpful regarding the area. Great place to stay for a couple and a small pet or a small child.

enjoyable spot
Place nice, most as ad stated but not all ok, phone numbers for management was not a working phone, manager wanted to charge me 20 dollars for wfi hot spots per day which ad said was free, when spoke to manager second time about wfi he say it would require a 50 dollar deposit for it; so i showed him ad about free wfi on website but we still didnt get wfi. Also no one mentioned the fact that the dock behind the place is a working place for a shrimp boat who employees dont mind walking thur yard or parking in the only driveway to this cottage if you leave. There was no grill on property as stated neither.

Not what we expected...but worked.
Gary was patient and quick to respond to my emails. The cottage is WELL dated. It was clean. The kitchen isn’t fully stocked. The grass wasn’t mowed nor the pavilion cleaned up when we got there. (So in the photo, the grass wasn’t knee high at the bank as it is now.) The owner, Richard, was kind enough to mow the grass for us and clean it up. Gary told us the grill was usable, Richard hauled it off, said it needed cleaning and a lot of work. So, we had to purchase a grill. We were told it was in a residential neighborhood. It’s not, it’s a marina. Which was fine because the owner is adding some really nice camp sites that we hopefully can occupy one day. We took our fur kiddos and it was perfect for them. This cottage to me, is perfect for folks wanting to fish and have a place to sleep and shower. I didn’t find it to be the coziest cottage. The front porch was the place to be. However it was a LAST minute trip for our family. Thankful it was available especially being a holiday and we did make the amenities work. We enjoyed the river traffic and overall it was a relaxing trip.

Spring Break Getaway
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay on the water...the location is perfect and the cottage was everything we needed. The only reason for the three stars was that upon arrival we were told that the cottage would not be available due to construction that was going on at the location. We were going to be moved to another house that was not on the water, however after unloading at the other location we were told we could in fact stay at the location on the water if we didn't mind the noise from the construction, which wasn't a bother to us. All-in-all it was a nice getaway and I look forward to possibly going back once the RV park is constructed as planned. I just wish we were told in advance about the construction and the possibly that our waterfront rental might not have been available. The owner/manager is top notch and was extremely helpful in every way...I would recommend renting properties from them...the only other tips were to reinstall smoke/CO detector in the kitchen and update the gas stove to a more safer unit...thank you for your hospitality and allowing a few high school teachers to escape from reality for a few days.
