About this property

Trastevere, Campo de Fiori - The heart of Rome for 6 people

700 meters from Campo de Fiori and in the heart of Trastevere, 50 meters from the Basilica of Santa Maria in Trastevere (the oldest church in Rome), we have a magnificent and bright apartment that can accommodate up to 6 people!
The apartment has just been renovated and is composed as follows:
- Living room with sofa bed, table, tv and bookcase
- Large kitchen with dining table, fully equipped for preparing meals
- Double bedroom with 160cm wide bed and a large wardrobe
- Double bedroom with 140cm wide bed
- Two bathrooms, one with shower.
The facilities are: air conditioning and heating in all rooms, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, free wi-fi, TV and phone.
Under the house you will find everything you need (shops, bars, restaurants...), so you can go around on foot or by bicycle (can be rented directly under the house),

THE DISTRICT
Trastevere is the place where the Roman people were born and developed. Source of inspiration of the poets Belli and Trilussa, Trastevere is the heart of Rome.
Today, the Trastevere district is one of the most beautiful and characteristic of Rome, the fulcrum of nightlife and food and wine, open-air theater of beautiful squares such as Piazza Trilussa, Piazza Santa Maria in Trastevere - home of the oldest church in Rome - Piazza S. Cosimato, churches and historic alleys, ancient and contemporary emblem of Romanity.
Walking on the Ponte Sisto you can reach Campo de' Fiori, otherwise you can reach the Tiber Island by crossing the oldest bridge in Rome, Ponte Fabricio.

You will be amazed, a walk through the Trastevere alleys will show you the soul of the eternal city!

In case you wish, we can offer the following services:

APARTMENT'S RULES:

- LATE CHECKIN: A PAYMENT OF € 30, plus € 10 per hour until 7.00 AM WILL BE REQUESTED FROM 10.00 PM TO 12.00 AM.

- The tourist tax (€ 6 per night per person) and the cleaning costs of € 140 will be paid in cash upon arrival.

- For bookings longer than a week there is a weekly cleaning of € 45 in addition to the final cleaning of the apartment.

Our stay in Trastevere Rome

We are regular travelers in our 60s who choose to rent apartments versus staying in hotels. We look for higher-line properties, our main interest is comfort not inexpensive accommodations. This property was as advertised and we would stay there again. It is clean, well appointed, and the property host - Riccardo - was very willing to assist when possible (he is a very nice man). To avoid another guest choosing a property not right for their needs we must mention the following: Trastevere is a special area of Rome with an energy and night life that at times can be noisy - even late into the evening. The one shower is small - I'm 5'10" and 185 pounds. I found the shower to be a bit confining. Putting those two minor issues aside we found the location, restaurants, and accommodations to provide us with an very nice eight day visit.

My stay in Rome was nice and the apartment was very nice and well maintained. Riccardo was efficient and quickly to respond to any concerns. My only complaint is we were woken early every morning and throughout the day and night by the tenants above us with loud talking, stomping, and slamming doors. We think it came from the walls and floors being paper-thin. Besides that it was a lovely place.

Best place to stay in Rome!

Our family of 4 had a wonderful stay. Couldn’t have asked for a better location, more responsive host, or more comfortable accommodation. Trastevere is a wonderful neighborhood- tons of cafes restaurants and we walked to all of the sites each day. It feels like the Italian version of NYC’s West Village. Riccardo graciously arranged rides to and from the airport for our family which was incredibly helpful. Highly recommend!

Great stay in Trasevere

This was one of our favorite VRBO stays. Ricardo was so attentive even before we got there. The apartment was immaculate, great location,a band was playing just around the corner in the Piazza. We walked everywhere. From the Vatican to the Colosseum and Trevi fountain to the Spanish steps. Restaurants and bars are spectacular in Tresevere. Ricardo answer questions immediately and even set up a car to pick us up early morning take us to the airport. I would absolutely stay at another property that he owns!

Fantastic stay!

Wonderful apartment with more than enough space (enough to sleep 4 in beds) and amenities in a fantastic (dare I say, the *BEST*) part of Rome -- the lovely Trastevere neighborhood. Close to bars, restaurants, cafes, and shops. It's a spartan apartment--no frills--but more than what we needed and a quick walk to a cab stand if you are not in the walking mood and otherwise a beautiful (but hearty) walk, about 20 min, to the Colosseum and other must-see Rome sites. Recommend!

Excellent stay

Great flat in a super great location. Lots of energy in the area in the evening with great restaurants and people watching with lots of locals. Reasonable walking distance to every major site. Highly recommend. I will say the extra cleaning fee of 110 euros was not specifically noted when booking or I just didn’t see it. Disappointing to have a charge of that magnitude show as an extra.

Great home base in Rome

A beautiful apartment. Clean, roomy and well-equipped. The host is excellent and responds immediately to questions. Lots of cafes and restaurants nearby. A bit noisy some evenings as this is a busy tourist area but it didn’t bother us. We highly recommend this listing.

Wonderful stay in Trastevere

Our family so enjoyed this lovely property. The host, Riccardo is very responsive and met our every need. Even arranging rides from the airport for both our parties and notifying us when the property was ready earlier than expected. Contactless check was very easy. The apartment is modern, well kept and slept 6 comfortably. It is situated in a perfect location close to restaurants, bars and walkable to many attractions. I highly recommend staying here and would definitely come back again.

Amazing property in an amazing location!

This is a wonderful property located in the heart of the Trastevere neighborhood in Rome. The property is brand new, very clean and convenient. Riccardo is a great communicator, and we did not have any issues following his instructions. The property is conveniently located in a location that is very walkable, has multiple restaurant options, and also allows to experience the real life in Rome. Highly recommended!

Real Taste of Local Flavor

We couldn't have asked for a better property experience. Their arranged driver met us at airport and immediately whisked us over to the apartment. Loved the VIKEY security. Apartment was spotless, beautiful, and was comfortable for our family of 4 adults. The window shutter experience made us feel a part of the neighborhood. As advertised, we were literally steps from all of the action...outdoor restaurant outside the front door, 50 steps to a busy Piazza with an awesome truly local bar, and another 20 steps to the main Trastevere Piazza. Great, yet subdued, military police presence in this area alleviates any security/ safety concerns. Explore the alleys and side streets because there are hidden jewels down every one. We walked down the wrong alley when we left apartment and found a fabulous wine bar plus a local shoe/handbag designer's shop and wife bought 4 prs of shoes and 2 handbags. Point being, this apartment is in the ideal location for local visiting. There are dozens of options for authentic food, drinks, wine, gelato, morning cafe, clothng, and just good ol' conversation with the local residents. If I ever go back, this is where I would stay. Grazie Ricardo for the wonderful accommodation!

Great Location, Property and People

This property was just as advertised. We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed every minute of the experience. The property was very clean, exactly as advertised and owners/admin were very responsive to any request we had. The location is right in the heart of Trastevere. Its the place you want to be but be prepared it can be a bit loud at night. We would highly recommend this property and location to any travellers. Riccardo and Silvia were great hosts and we would not hesitate to stay next time.

Trastevere Rome

We really enjoyed our stay in this property. Right in the action with many great restaurants within walking distance. You can also walk to all the Rome attractions. The property was very clean and comfortable with a well stocked kitchen. Good high speed internet. We took advantage of having the host book our transportation back to the airport. We had a great time in Trastevere Rome.

Good points: Good location , adequate size, comfortable beds, clean, clothes washer available. Allowed to check in early and check out one hour late. Right in the heart of Trastevere. Bad points: Shower never provided hot water, lukewarm at best. Check in process was a nightmare. A phone number was provided but could never get hold of Ricardo and when I did he could not hear me. Only communication possible was through an assistant, silvia, through whatsaap. I know Trastevere can be noiy but there was a restaurant right under the bedroom windows open late in the night.

Excellent Location and great extras.

We loved the location and it “made” our visit to Rome. The little “extras” were much appreciated. Cold Limoncello With iced shot glasses in the freezer! Washer pods were under the sink. Three different ways to make coffee along with ground and instant coffee provided. Basic seasonings in the cupboard. I had practiced with a mokaexpresso pot before coming and their was a cute one provided. I started the day with the wjndow open and drinking my rocket fuel to start the day. Thanks Riccardo!

Great location. Unit needs lots of upgrades

The location is fantastic. And the air conditioning works well. And the management was responsive and checking in relatively smooth. But the apartment it self is due for a number of upgrades: -- there are a number of large stains on the floor -- the shower is unacceptable. The water pressure is poor. The temperature doesn't rise about room temperature. The shower curtain in hung up with plastic ties. The towel rack is a very cheap free standing unit. -- every corner of the apartment looks run down. The entry way has what looks like a 5 euro IKEA beat up coat rack (in the form is a scene of a cat and clouds) secured to the wall. -- the couldn't have picked a less complimentary chandelier. It reflects horrible yellow and greys. -- the walls are smudged and look dirty. The unit needs a new coat of paint.

great apt in a convenient location away from the tourist area

my friends and i enjoyed the apt. it’s on the 2nd floor of a walk up building. relatively quiet despite the restaurants below. some taxis wouldn’t drive to the apt but dropped you off close by and you had to walk. everything in the apt was comfortable and clean. good size apt.
