Gorgeous home
We had a fantastic time at Christys home in Kayenta. The home was well equipped and the area is beautiful. We couldn’t get enough of the views. We hope to come back in the future!

Gorgeous home in a magnificent setting!
We loved this home! So tastefully decorated and comfortable. We enjoyed the Direct TV during the hot afternoons. The kitchen is very well equipped. The patio and pool are lovely and so restful and quiet, with stunning views. The hummingbirds were welcome visitors along with the quail and the doves. Even the bats entertained us with a playful ballet over the pool each evening! My Mom is nearly 82, with a hip replacement, and she was initially challenged by the wide steps with no handrails between levels, but she was careful and soon got used to them. We enjoyed Dean's paintings on the walls and saw his work in the local art gallery as well. All in all, we had a great family time together. Christi was a fantastic host, with prompt responses to our questions. She made us feel welcome.

Amazing views!!!!
Anne and I had the opportunity to spend 7 wonderful weeks in this great Kayenta home during March and April 2018. The kitchen is well stocked with the best cookware we have found in a VRBO. And almost any seasoning or spice that you would need! I thoroughly enjoyed cooking most of our meals there. And if you don't want to cook there are some very good restaurants nearby, mainly Xetava at Kayenta village and Argostas in Ivins. Other favorites are the Gunbarrel for steaks and the Egg and I for breakfast. The views from the home are amazing! My favorite was from the dining room in the dark of night. The big dipper was bright and clear, perfectly framed in the large window. And, of course, the sunrise and sunsets on the red mountains are beyond description. And I can't believe a master bath anywhere has a view such as the one in Kayenta! Christi is the perfect hostess! The few times we contacted her she was eager to answer our inquiries in the most cheerful way. If you want peace and quiet and to be pampered in a vacation home, here it is!

quiet, beautiful scenery
we spent a month in the house and had a great time. It's very peaceful, and the scenery is amazing. Every window is a painting of the red rocks. The finishes are beautiful. We enjoyed the game table in the great room. The master suite is enormous. Lots of hiking nearby and safe to bike right out the door.

Beautiful home in an amazing setting
Kayenta is a small desert community located in an amazing setting backing onto the red cliffs of the red mountain . The house is beautiful with custom everything and very well stocked. If you are looking for a peaceful escape that also provides some of the best hiking , riding and running in Southern Utah then this is the place. Snow Canyon State park is right around the bend and has some of the best hiking / riding we have found in some time . Both Christi and Dean were most accommodating when called upon and very helpful . I would recommend this home and we hope to visit again soon .

We will be coming back
This is my husbands and my 3rd trip to Kayenta, each time gets a little longer. The first 2 times we had rented a 1 bedroom close to Coyote Gulch art centre. This time we decided to stay for a full month so rented Christi and Dean's home, we wanted to invite some friends for a week to enjoy this fabulous area as well. Christi and Dean were great to work with, their home is lovely with great views all around. The kitchen is well stocked with lots of pots, pans and coffee makers (of every description. lol) The whole house is well stocked, really there is no need to bring anything just come, relax and enjoy the hiking, biking, walking and sunshine.

Waking up in a painting every morning
The views from the home in every direction was a calming tranquil painting. We loved to get up and open all the blinds and sit and have our coffee. We then would go for a morning walk through the neighborhood which would start the day off right. So much to do and see here. Love it!

Breathtaking Beauty
This beautiful home sits in one of the most dramatic, peaceful areas of St. George/Ivins. Gorgeous views out of every window. While the temperatures were too low in November to enjoy the swimming pool, it was a great place to sit by and read in the afternoon and enjoy appetizers in the early evening. The house is clean ,well-maintained and furnished with beautiful custom cabinetry and artwork. You will not find a home more beautiful than this one to rent, especially at this price! Wonderful hiking and biking in the area and there is a great spa, Red Mountain, very close by for additional food and spa treatments. The newly opened upscale Harmon's grocery store off Pioneer Parkway in Santa Clara makes your grocery shopping more convenient than in years past. The owner, Christi Bradshaw, is very attentive to your needs and questions. There are two great restaurants in the immediate area. Down the hill from the house is Xetava Garden Cafe, open for breakfast, lunch every day, from 9AM-5PM and Dinner on Friday and Saturday night until 9PM. Approximately 3 miles away is Aragosta which opened about a year ago. I would highly recommend this extremely charming home to friends and relatives.

Lovely accommodations, stunning views!
Owners have a lovely home, 3 bedrooms, 1 King and 2 queen beds, plus 2 full baths. Also, off the master bedroom is another large room, with bunk beds. Kitchen is very well equipped should you wish to do all your own cooking. The home was immaculately clean and owners were very pleasant in all our dealings. Home has a beautiful pool but the most impressive thing, about this property, is the views. You are right at the base of the red rocks, and you might just see a waterfall on a rainy day! Home is about 8-10 miles from downtown St.George and 5 miles to snow canyon state park. We did a lot of hiking in the park but there are numerous trails, in the area. We also had no problem getting a tee time but did have to drive a bit. There is a new Harmons grocery store, which will save you from going into St. George. Being from back east, I will tell you that this was one of the best grocery store I have seen. There are a couple small restaurants in the area; our favorite being Aragusto. We were there during the month of April, 2016.

Outstanding experience-hope to stay here next trip
Spacious, lovely home; absolutely gorgeous pool which we really enjoyed. Home very well stocked with all non-food essentials. Home and yard beautifully maintained, extremely clean. This Kayenta home located in a quiet, private location--it's in a desert, dark sky community--we enjoyed fantastic stargazing! Neighbors very friendly. Any inquiries of the owner were answered immediately and absolutely in the friendliest manner! Absolutely BEAUTIFUL! We didn't want to leave!!!!

About the host

Host profile image
Artist Dean Bradshaw and wife Christi live and work in Salt Lake City, Utah. We love the snowy mountains of Northern Utah and the fiery red mountains of Southern Utah. The best of both worlds! fell in love with the beauty of Kayenta while camping in Snow Canyon and knew they had to build a home

Why they chose this property

While camping in Snow Canyon State Park we came across Kayenta and fell in love with the most beautiful views in all of Southern Utah and knew we had to build a home there.

What makes this property unique

We owned several lots in Kayenta until this one came unexpectedly on the market. It was the most amazing property with a unique outcropping of rocks which we built the house around. After 15 years the view still takes our breath away!
