Casale Sento is a beautifully renovated and very comfortable villa with stunning views of the Umbrian hills and Lake Trasimeno in the distance. With 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms sleeping 8 to 9 people (e.g. 2 families with kids), spacious living areas, a large and very complete kitchen, 3 hectares of land and a relaxing, private pool, Sento is the perfect place to enjoy and explore Umbria and Tuscany. Unlike many other villa's in Italy that are often dark and poorly furnished, Casale Sento is finished to a very high standard with light, modern and quality furniture, design bathrooms and plenty of extra's like a dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, satellite TV, DVD's, books, board games, mountain bikes, BBQ, extra large sun loungers etc.
Florence, Perugia, Siena, Assisi, Orvieto, Gubbio, Spoleto and Cortona are all within easy reach, making Casale Sento the perfect holiday villa for people who like privacy and comfort and at the same time want to be centrally located to explore Umbria and Tuscany! For guests staying longer than one week, we charge an additional 100 Euros in cleaning per week after the first week. These additional costs are to change the linen and towels, clean the bathrooms, and clean the kitchen surfaces.

The ultimate getaway in the Umbrian hills

My family and I had the most wonderful week at Casale Sento this September. Between sleeping in, swims in the pool and games of ping pong and cards we couldn’t have had a more relaxing time. The villa is so well-equipped you never have to leave! It was the perfect way to unwind during our 5 week trip around Europe. It is located near some fabulous hilltop towns Panicale and Citta della Pieve, which have great restaurants and views. We spent several nights in at the villa cooking in the well appointed kitchen and even tried our ha s at the wood fired pizza oven (check out the handy step by step instructions in the guest book if you haven’t tried this before). Absolute paradise. We hope to return again in the future!

Beautiful Secluded Villa

Casale Sento is an incredible place to stay. With no nearby neighbours and set high up on the hill, it was quiet and peaceful. The view was amazing and that alone would make us all want to go back. The villa was spacious with modern amenities and was the perfect size for our group of 4 adults and 2 children. A few things to note, the pool is cold! Even with hot September weather and full sun every day, the pool does not get warm. That was fine for us, but some might shy away. Be sure to bring your own laundry soap, toilet paper, shampoo, etc. These household items are not provided. And when you're driving to the villa, do not take the road from Montegiove, always come from the direction of Tavernelle. Our hosts were wonderful and very responsive. A gardener came often to clean the pool and there was a lot of helpful information about the area provided in the villa. Casale Sento is an ideal villa to spend relaxing days at and to use as a base for day trips around Umbria and Tuscany. We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation there.

Great property, fantastic holiday

The property is beautifully built, furnished and maintained. Great upstairs space, kitchen nicely sized and equipped for 8 people, and 4 good sized bedrooms. 3 modern bathrooms. The local town (not walkable, but about 15 minutes’ drive) is pleasant, with supermarkets and a small (but lovely) aqua park for families. Would recommend to anyone who wants a peaceful, self-catered holiday in fantastic surroundings.

Tolles Haus in wunderbarer Umgebung!

Ruhig gelegenes Haus mit fantastischer Aussicht und tollen Panoramablicken. Es ist alles da was man braucht. Der lebendige Ort Tabelle ist zum einkaufen in 15 Minuten mit dem Auto erreichbar.

Great property in excellent shape

We enjoyed entirely our whole stay. The house and its surroundings are very peaceful and fully worth the short drive from the main road. The house itself is smartly designed and equipped, you can find really anything you may need, especially kitchen is great. One of the best renovated houses we have ever visited and all furniture and equipment are modern and efficient but at the same time beatifully resonates with the original architecture. We may only highly recommend to try as we enjoyed every minute of our stay there. No complaints at all. Our thanks to owners and Alicia who took care of the property.

Very rural in beautiful setting

Alicia was absolutely brilliant - couldn't have been more helpful while we struggled with all the COVID restrictions etc. And a wonderful evening meal provided by the outside chef. The House was even more rural than anticipated (with a scary latter part of our arrival journey on an unpaved road) and we had quite a lot of scorpions but the pool and the views were truly fabulous. Thank you!

Casale Sento - gladly again at any time

We have already been guests at Casale Sento. The quiet location is unique. It was nice to see how the plants in the outdoor area have developed over the years. The equipment still leaves nothing to be desired. The infrastructure of the house is modern. That cannot be taken for granted in this wonderful secluded place. The on-site service was able to help quickly at any time. Thank you so much for everything.

Wir hatten 2 wunderbare Wochen in diesem tollen Haus in traumhafter Umgebung. Die Ruhe war sensationell, wir könnten uns gut erholen. Die Kommunikation mit der Verwalterin vor Ort war problemlos. Das Haus ist bestens ausgestattet und lässt keine Wünsche offen. Wir kommen sehr gern zurück.

Beautiful but secluded Umbrian Villa

Our group of 8 (2 families including 4 children aged 4 to 9) enjoyed our stay at Casale Sento. The villa is beautiful and well proportioned with good amenities. And the location is completely stunning - the view is truly one of the most beautiful outlooks I’ve ever seen. The hosts were extremely responsive and very flexible with the cancellation policy given the evolving COVID situation. The property manager was also excellent, responding to all queries within minutes and also arranging for a plumber to be with us within about 45 minutes when the boiler malfunctioned. Whilst the pool is great (large and with excellent sun loungers), we found it difficult to enjoy using it because of the number of insects flying around, especially the horse flies. I’m not sure there is much that can be done about them, but at times it was impossible to be by the pool as the only safe place was under water! The only other thing we would say is that the villa really is very secluded - a good 15 minute drive from the nearest town, and most of the sights in the region were an hour or more away. For someone who wants a restful and relaxing stay in a beautiful location you couldn’t do better than Casale Sento, but if you want to explore the region then you need to be prepared to do a fair bit of driving on some extremely windy and steep roads!

Ruhe und Luxus mitten in Italien

Auf den ersten Blick ein bisschen ab vom Schuss, aber, wenn man Ruhe, Sonne und Luxus mitten in Italien sucht, ist man hier genau richtig. Für Ausflüge und Einkäufe muss man zwar ein wenig fahren. Das wird aber durch das Haus, den Garten und den Ausblick locker übertroffen. Perfekt.

Glorious Umbria

Casale Sento is a beautiful home tucked in the Umbrian hills above Tavernelle. The four bedrooms are generous in size, with comfortable king (and one queen) beds. The kitchen is well stocked with kitchen equipment, pots and pans, and dishes and glasses. It is gloriously quiet at night and dark except for the distant twinkling lights of Piegaro. We three couples loved the house and the easy day trips we took to Spello, Assisi, Orvieto, Citta del Pieve, Panicale, Lake Trasimeno, and Perugia. We heartily recommend this gorgeous home.

Sunsets Galore

This villa was amazing and the pictures do not do it justice. The views and sunsets were beautiful. The pool was relaxing and the views from the pool were breathtaking. The bedrooms were comfortable and we were able to spread out. The house is appointed well and is above average! We had chef Sabina come in a cook one night and it was delicious and a new experience. One point we did not see in other reviews was the winding roads - to the point that we did not do many day trips because we got motion sickness. Also- some of the roads are gravel so choose your rental car wisely. The road into the villa is not paved. Another point - there are a lot of bugs - so bring bug spray and Benadryl - especially if someone is allergic to bites. We did visit a few local towns - Citta della Pieve and Panicle. The Mosolino Restaurant was our favorite - request to eat in the "cave" - you will love it! We will definitely come back someday!

Having been holidaying in Italy for the last 15 years this Villa is without doubt the best

The Villa, the setting, the tranquility, the pool, simply everything has a real WOW factor. This has been our second stay in Casale Sento and I’m sure won’t be the last. Yet again the Villa exceeded our expectations and memories. It truly is a wonderful property in a beautiful location. If peace and tranquillity is what you are after, whilst still close enough to visit the hill top towns and cities of Umbria and Tuscany Casale Sento is a must!

A perfect week in Umbria!

The villa provided the perfect spot for relaxing as well as exploring the countryside and the cities of Perugia, Assisi, Tavernalle, and Montalaccino. The location and amenities of a Casale Sento made it difficult to leave. The covered outside sitting areas, poolside loungers, and the inside living room were the perfect places to read and relax. Johanne was the perfect representative and responds very quickly to all of our questions and inquiries. Early on in our booking process, Monique was also most accommodating. Anyone who comes to Casale Sento will have an amazing vacation experience!

We are a Dutch family of 5 (me, my husband and our 3 sons), who have lived in many countries, Italy being one of them. We have lived for 5 years in Rome and decided to buy our family holiday home in Umbria. After two years of extensive restoration works, we can finally call it our dream house and we take much pleasure in sharing its joy with others.

This place has unforgettable views and sunsets and the valley breathes an incredible peace and tranquility. You have full privacy as there are no neighbours, yet you are centrally located and close to all necessary amenities and some great restaurants. This place is simply bliss!

What makes this property unique

We've travelled a lot ourselves and found that many holiday properties in Italy and other countries are often dark and poorly furnished, have cheap fixtures and fittings and showers with little water pressure etc.
We wanted to create a light interior with new and high quality furniture and fittings. A place where you will feel at home and where care is taken of every aspect of your holiday.
