Great visit after covid

What a beautiful place to enjoy the peace and quiet of nature. The place was very clean and well cared for. I really enjoyed walking back in the Jordan canyon area for a nice walk in nature, my mom and I actually encountered a Moose and her calf.

Winter Vacation

Our family spent a week at the cabin after Christmas for a winter vacation. With five of us, each son had their own bedroom. The cabin was exactly as it was described and even more beautiful with all the rustic decorations. We were excited to see both moose, mule deer and elk at the cabin. The town of Alpine is very quaint and close for convenience. We enjoyed the scenic drive to Jackson several days which was a thirty minute commute. Snowmobiling in the Teton and Yellowstone National Parks was our favorite activity. There are many snowmobile trails close to the cabin too. Grand Targhee ski resort was a beautiful hour and half drive next to the Palisades Reservoir. We had a foot of snow on New Year's Day and a snow blower cleaned the driveway. It also made for a beautiful walk along the snow covered roads and trails behind the cabin. We would recommend this cabin and would love to return during the summer.

Absolutely amazing cabin in a great location!

This cabin is the perfect place to stay if you're looking for a quiet getaway, with easy access to the Grand Tetons/Yellowstone. The cabin has everything you need to feel right at home, with an amazing view while sitting on the deck. We would absolutely stay here again, I would recommend this place to anyone travelling to this area. I can't say enough great things about the hosts. They go above and beyond making sure you and your family have a great stay. Easily a 5 star rating for this cabin!!

4 bedroom house

You can't ask for a better layout of a vacation house. The main section has the up dated kitchen, living, dining and on either side of the great area are 2 bedrooms & baths. The deck runs the length of the house in the back with plenty of furniture tho we did have to ask for the cushions. The owners were outstanding with their communication and helpfulness. We did run into a problem on check-in with the septic system but that was handled asap being a holiday weekend. The house had comfortable beds tho the risers were a little too high. The kitchen was a good size but unfortunately we had to clean out/move the previous renter's items.(fridge had 2 half shelves available; no room in cabinets until we pushed everything back, freezer was 3/4 full.) On the plus side it was updated and well equipped. The livingroom area was nice with comfortable seating. Overall, a pretty home but for us we felt decor cluttered, needed brighter lighting, and the road noise from the highway was noticeable on the deck and in the bedroom at night.

Dad's 90th Birthday Dream Trip

This was my Dad's 90th birthday dream trip. We all fell in love with the "cabin" the moment we drove in. You will love looking at the detail and thought that has gone into the making this unique home. From the barn beam to the bark wood trim to the decor. We loved sitting on a ridge looking down on the town of Alpine. It was the first thing we did when we got up in the mornings. Split floor plan with 2 bedrooms on each side and one bath per side. Perfect for families or groups. There isn't anything that Sue and Tony have missed. A fully equipped kitchen, which can be rare in a rental. I always look for plenty of seating and dining seats if I am traveling in our group. Plenty of seats for everyone! There is washer and dryer so no need to over pack, always a bonus! There is a wood burning fireplace and a gas stove. We'd sit in the evenings enjoying the fire as we visited. We can't think of anything that needs to be added. Even power strips in the bedrooms to plug in all that extra stuff we now travel with! We were VRBO owners ourselves so I'd say we are critical as to what a vacation place should have. Thank you Sue and Tony for sharing your lovely "cabin" with our family.

Beautiful home, beautiful property, great location

This rental is a wonderful home away from home. The house itself is extremely clean and well equipped with everything you need to feel at home. The beds are all very comfortable which is always a bonus when traveling! The deck was our favorite place to hang out and enjoy the amazing weather and beautiful views. And we even had a couple deer visit us while sitting out there. We would chose this house again in a heartbeat.

Fine property but...

So we stayed there in March 2018. Area is nice enough but remote with plenty of trails and wildlife. Plenty of snow at that time of year. Cabin is full of decorative breakable items so not recommended for young children. We came with teenagers and a baby and had to improvise a bit as there is no crib or high chair. We had a good stay. Upon leaving we made sure we cleaned the cabin properly, ( fridge, bins emptied, kitchen, bed sheets in laundry basket, we replenished the toilet paper, kitchen towels, tissues,...) we even washed and dried the towels, despite having been charged a hefty cleaning fee . But that wasn't enough. Oh no. Presumably the owners expect you to clean their property from top to bottom including the windows while you also have to pack, drive to the airport, return the rental car and make it to your plane on time. All that with kids and a baby in tow... We got the surprise that our deposit was refunded minus bank charges ( ?? ) and a threat to charge us even more for cleaning...until we shouted louder and that was dropped. So, unless you feel like paying to play Cinderella for someone's else's property i would not recommend it just because the owners are so unreasonable.

Great vacation get-away!

We stayed here in Aug 2015 with two other couples and the home was all we could have asked for, extremely clean, well stocked, furnished beautifully and very comfortable with more than enough room for the six of us. The view from the deck was awesome and so relaxing we almost hated to leave to go site seeing. But there's so much to do in the area. There's a little restaurant/bar down the hill from the house that had a great breakfast. Great location, great food, friendly town. Thank you Sue and Tony for sharing your beautiful home and being so accommodating.

Awesome vacation rental

This vacation get-a-way rental was awesome. The cabin was extremely clean and well furnished. The view was spectacular from the front deck where you could just sit back and relax. Was great to walk around the neighborhood and look at all the awesome homes in this development. If you wanted more of a challenge for exercise, walk the main road up to the cabin, easy going down but a challenge walking back up but was a great workout.😀. Tony and Sue were so accommodating with their rental and we look forward to coming back.

Alpine, WY Marvelous time

We had a marvelous time and loved your place. As promised, here's what we did. 1. Teton Hikes Jenny Lake to Hidden Falls Taggart Lake and Bradley Lake (one hike) We didn't do it but if someone is in shape, the Cascade Canyon hike is fantastic. 2. We hiked to Photographers Point in the Wind River Range outside of Pinedale. It's a fantastic hike - 9 miles, but very little elevation gain and the view at the point is incredible. 3. Elk Creek Hike north of Alpine - fantastic 4. Granite Hot Springs - twice! 5. We rented a small "duck" (a rubber canoe) at Hoback Junction and came down the Snake River about 9 miles. Really nice ride. 6. Biked from Alpine to Hoback Junction. A nice 3 hour ride. Mostly downhill. 7. Dinner at Jackson Lake Lodge - a fantastic view.

Look no further you have found the BEST

Our family met up here and stayed for a week, which was not long enough. There is so much to see but we all would have been content to just stay in this Cabin and relax. We had 7 in our family that were staying here, including 3 kids (1yr,6yr and 17yr). All you need to stay here is your clothes, toiletries and food, and I promise you that in the cabin you will find anything else you might need. It was so amazing........the kitchen has more in it than I have in my kitchen at home. Lots of games and puzzels for the kids. Beautiful deck across the back of the house that we had many cookouts on while we enjoyed the views. The space in this cabin is wonderful and the guys were able to watch sports in the family room while the kids played on the Deck and us girls hung out in the setting area around the fireplace in the dining area. This place has lots of great walking and hiking trails close to the cabin and wildlife comes up to the cabin in early morning hours. The cabin has big windows thru out so you can enjoy the magnificant views from any room in the cabin. We all want to go back because we loved this cabin and much as we loved Yellowstone and Jackson Hole. I have shown pictures and recomended this cabin to so many of our Friends. The pictures do not even do this cabin justice because it is beautifully decorated but yet very comfortable and homey. We could all set in the family room with very comfortable leather recliners and a couch, and the lighting is beautiful in every room having lots of soft lighting. The is a Dream Cabin. The Owners are great to work with and such nice people.

Alpine Vacation

Your place exceeded our expectations and was perfect for four people. It was absolutely gorgeous now with all the work you have put into it. Thanks again for such a beautiful place to stay. If I come back to Alpine next year, I will definitely book your home again Thanks again, and I recommend that you try to spend as much time there as you can. It’s truly a special place. Brad

Alpine Cabin

We had an absolutely wonderful time! Your home was wonderful, and we treated it with love and tenderness. Mike took lots of pictures, which we will send to you later this week. (Sorry they aren’t sent yet, you know how life after the holidays and vacation is… it comes at you with a vengeance! ) One morning the herd of elk (around 30-35) that was in the area were up around the cabin. Mike took some amazing shots of them (cows, calves, and one bull elk I think…)---right out the windows! He made sure he got some where you can obviously see that they are right outside the windows. Thanks again! We hope you’ll let us come again sometime soon!

Great cabin get-away!

My wife, daughter and I stayed here at the end of August (2014) and loved it! The cabin (really a house) was very spacious, had everything we needed and the amenities were really great. The beds were quite comfortable - a great thing to look forward to if you been in the outdoors all day. The furnishings really made you feel like you were in a Wyoming environment - rustic style, well done indeed. The owners were very responsive even though there weren't really any issues. The only misleading thing for us was; that our focus was the national parks, Jackson Hole, Tetons, Yellowstone, the drive just to Jackson Hole was 45 or more minutes, although a stunningly beautiful drive. This place would be an absolute paradise vacation for fly fisher's. Tip: wait to purchase your groceries in the local Alpine grocery, it's about 20%+ cheaper than up in Jackson Hole.
