Costa Rican Paradise

My wife and I spent close to three weeks at Casa Ella and completely relaxed in the comfortable and private surroundings. The house is well maintained and has all of the amenities for living “at the beach”. The grounds are lush with vegetation that provides much needed shade from the ever present sun and blue skies. It was nice to be able to lounge around the pool in the afternoon and spend time reading. Casa Ella is a short walk to town, the beach and many excellent restaurants. A great place for an extended stay in Tamarindo.

The house and the surroundings were beautiful.

We loved the privacy on the patio under the tiki hut. The pool was also very nice to sit and relax at. The bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed the beautiful, safe surroundings and Jennifer, the owner, was so accommodating and friendly. A bit of a walk to the main strip, but nice after a dinner on the beach. We definitely recommend this accommodation. We also ate at the Dragonfly restaurant on our last night and it was amazing.

Perfect

We stayed at Casa Ela for a week and loved it! It was the perfect location, close enough to walk to town and the beach but far enough to get away from the hustle and bustle. The villa was well set up with a kitchen fully equipped, your own laundry and a private patio area. This was our fifth time coming to the Tamarindo area and this was the first time we had a restful sleep. We were starting to think that uncomfortable beds was just apart of visiting Costa Rica. NO! The beds were sooo comfortable! Thank you Jennifer! We loved the set up of Casa Ela. There are four private villas that share a common pool. We met some nice people during our stay. We rented a golf cart for a couple of days so we could sightsee the area around. We highly recommend this spot! Thanks again Jennifer for a comfortable and wonderful vacation!.......shhhhhh (don’t tell too many people). Sheila and Ken

Nice seclusion

Enjoyed our family vacation here. It was nice to have a 2 bedroom, 2 bath with kids. We cooked a few meals and the king beds were very comfortable. We had all the necessary conveniences. The bungalow is only 10 min. walk from town and beach but very quiet, which is nice during the busiest time of the year, Xmas-new Year. Jennifer is right next door and was able to answer any questions for us. Would definitely stay here again!

Fabulous Time in Tamarindo

The property was wonderful! The bedrooms are spacious and the beds very comfortable. Plenty of living space. We truly appreciated the air conditioning when not outdoors. The pool on the property is fantastic. Beautiful private setting. The beach and many restaurants are within walking distance. A car is not necessary. Jennifer was wonderful!! She provided us with many awesome recommendations including restaurants and excursion recommendations. Great stay and we look forward to returning.

Beautiful, quiet, and clean secluded property

My family of four stayed here over Winter break, Dec 27-Jan 10. We had a wonderful stay, we did not rent a car as we preferred to walk everywhere. We did rent a golf cart for a couple of days to tour around the area ($50 a day). The property owner was very friendly and had great recommendations as far as dining and adventures!

PARADISE! ** and quiet**

Arrived at Tamarindo and found our way to the house with excellent directions. Soon as we walked into complex we knew we made the right choice. Jennifer was their to meet us and we got the tour and low down on everything. The house was perfect, clean and located close to everything but yet far enough away to be very quiet. Beds were great, 2 full showers which was perfect after getting back from the beach, a/c worked like a charm. Nothing negative to say at all. I will make one recommendation, if the TV could be upgraded as with a family it would be nice to be able to play your movies from laptop or tablet due to only 1 TV in house. Also was great to have our own laundry. If we go back to Tamarindo we would definitely stay here. Thanks Jennifer!

Casa Ela - everything you want in a rental

Our first time booking a rental home as opposed to a hotel and I couldn't have been happier. I had some questions specific to the property and Costa Rica in general and Jennifer emailed and spoke with me on the phone and answered everything I asked. Booking was easy and straight forward. The home was spacious for our family of four - 2 adults, 4 year old and 8 month old. She had a pack n play and high chair for rent which made traveling with the baby so much easier (less to bring from home). The washer & dryer came in handy more than once. Plenty of linens and beach towels. We used the pool a few afternoons but spent most of the time at the many different beaches within a short drive from the house. 10-15 minute walk to town where you'll find tons of restaurants, souvenir shops, surf shops etc. Property was clean and everything you see in the pictures. If you're thinking of visiting Costa Rica, go! If you're thinking of booking this property, do it!

Everything and more!

We looked extensively for our accommodation for our two weeks in CR. THIS place is and was everything and more than we had hoped. Jennifer seemed like she was right by my side answering all questions prior to booking. She made our selection so easy. The house was private and gorgeous and a lovely walk (two directions) down to the shops and surf. We have a 10 year old who really enjoyed that every day. The house was exceptionally clean, exceptionally decorated and had everything we needed. I couldn't pick fault at all with anything. I run a few of my own VRBOs and I learnt a thing or two about this place. Jennifer is well connected in Tamarindo and pretty much organised our tours and reservations and was a great guide on all fronts. The pool is beautiful and clean and private too! The howler monkeys were out on occasion which provided us with entertainment for sure! I really can't rate this house enough. This is the only place we will come back to. Oh and the WIFI was always working and quick!

A perfect location in Tamarindo!

We stayed at Casa Ela for five nights. This was the perfect location and place for our family. I liked the short walk into town, but it was nice being far enough away from all of the noise--we felt like we were in our own villa. We were in the ocean all day, then would come home for a swim, went to dinner and then came home for another swim. Perfect! The house was beautiful, comfortable and quiet. Jennifer and her family were very gracious and helped us with finding activities to do while we were there. If you stay here, be sure to take a morning walk up the hill from Casa Ela. It is a nice, shaded walk and we were lucky enough to see howler monkeys above us. Great place! Valeri Mihanovich

Great cozy little home

Everything was great, at first distance from main town seem a lot, but honestly it was not bad at all. Enjoyed my stay and Jennifer is very approachable, quick to respond and don't have anything negative to say.

A Wonderful Place to Stay!!!!

Our family was a little apprehensive about coming to Costa Rica and the condo where we would be staying. When we walked through the gate of the small condo complex, we knew we had made the right decision choosing Casa Ela. The landscape, pool and condos were lovely. The condo was beyond our expectations that we had seen in the listing. It was very spacious and the decor was done in excellent taste. Everything was very clean. We had all the comforts of home and then some. It was so nice to also sit outside on the comfy outdoor sofas and have our coffee every morning. Jennifer, Tito and even Luna were so willing and helpful to answer any questions we had about where to go and what to do and went above and beyond to make reservations for some of the day excursions we wanted to take. We would without any hesitation go back and stay at Casa Ela and will recommend it to our friends that are planning a trip to Costa Rica.

Great stay!

We stayed at Casa Ela for 2 weeks at the start of April. We had a great time and really enjoyed it. Jennifer was a gracious host and was always ready to help us with tips on everything Costa Rica can offer. The beds were super comfortable and having our own cooking facilities gave us the opportunity to eat in when we wanted to. The wifi was fast and convenient. The location is just far enough away for peace and quiet, yet close enough to get to all of the Tamarindo action when desired. A really good experience.

Clean, Comfortable, and Quiet

My husband and I and our friends thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Casa Ela #3. We loved the house which was airy and spacious, the very comfortable beds, and the front patio with its have-a-snooze couch and two chairs. The house was in a complex of four houses with its own pool up a road from Tamarindo so it was peaceful and away from the hubbub and lights of town. We often went out to the road at night and walked a short distance away from the complex to look at the amazing stars. All of us are seniors and a couple of us, who had mobility issues, had difficulties with the walk into town, particularly in the heat. We solved this problem by renting a golf cart and buzzing around. It was great for grocery shopping, going to the farmer's market, and visiting the beach. Tamarindo had many good restaurants and lots of excursions. We particularly enjoyed the estuary nature tour. And thanks to Jennifer for her help and advice.

Great experience

The property is everything presented and more. The pictures do not do it justice. First Jennifer stays in touch before arrival, during arrival and after you get settled in. Francisco is there every evening at the gate so it is safe and secure although the property is at the end of a very quiet street/neighborhood. It is very well furnished and is spotless on the inside with well kept grounds. The pool is a plus and is well kept. We met the owners of two of the other cottages while we were there so there is a pride in the entire property. It is about a 15 minute walk to the center of town and a few more on to the beach but we walked it 3 to 4 times a day so its nothing. In addition some of the best restaurants are on the street up to the cottage...Seasons, Green Papaya, Dragonfly, La Baula and La Bodega. There is a health club about two blocks up the street with daily/weekly memberships and you also walk by a bank with ATM access. There are other restaurants and neat hotel bars on the street. In addition there is a little market at the end of the street when you get to the center of town so everything is close. You do not need a car. The property is very quiet yet close to town and the beach. We have been to Tamarindo before and this was our best place. We would definitely return. Keelan

Great little house in a very quiet location

Jennifer was a great hostess! She lives right next store with her husband and daughter (Luna) and was more than willing to help with booking any travel arrangements, tours or offer suggestions for the best places to eat, drink or surf. She was very welcoming without being remotely intrusive! The house is a bit more of a walk than we anticipated to the main Tamarindo strip and the beach but it was a nice walk. Just keep in mind that this place is not right on the beach but in a much quieter and more secluded location. The house is just as shown in the pics! Perfect for a family of 4 or 5 or two couples.

Far from Town

While the property itself was very nice, it's not as close to town as I was expecting. Luckily we had a car to drive to town each day and were able to take taxis when we left the car at the house. So if you're looking to walk everywhere, this probably isn't the house for you. Technically, it is about a 10-15 minute walk to the main road in Tamarindo, but, unfortunately, it's a dirt road that turns into a mud slide with the slightest bit of rain. While the property itself is safe and secure, the road between Tamarindo and Casa Ela becomes very dark and desolate once the sun sets. We didn't feel safe making the walk at night. Next time I'll spend the extra money to stay closer to town.

We are definitely coming back!!

We are so very happy with our stay at Casa de Ela! We have already discussed coming back next year and staying there again. The walk to town was not bad, but we did not want to walk it more then twice a day. When we would get back to the house in the afternoon we would take a nice swim in the pool. The house was nice, private and clean. Jennifer was a great host and helpful with us getting transportation and answering questions. We stopped at the grocery store outside of town on the way from the airport and we cooked most of the week which was great, we had everything we needed to cook! We highly recommend staying here!! And if you like Mojitos, Bamboo Sushi Club has the best ones! Coconut and Banana Creme Pies were the best from Noguis, and stop and have an empanada from one of the local ladies on the street! Iguana Surf Club was great for lessons and board rental. 95% of the meals/restaurants we ate were terrific! Make sure to watch a sunset at the beach as well.

Amazing experience

This place was far more than I expected. I had actually forgot that I rented a 2 bedroom. From the time we arrived to the time we left we felt like we were safe and comfortable. This will be a place we stay many more times. Thanks so much for having us on our honeymoon and being so helpful Jennifer!!!

Quiet Paradise

House was absolutely stunning and the owner was incredible to work with. The house is about 5 minutes from the main stretch in Tamarindo, so it is close enough to walk, and just far enough away to have to deal with all of the commotion. The house itself is cozy, and had a beautiful pool just steps away. Jennifer (the owner) was helpful in every aspect of the trip. She helped us find a shuttle from the Nicaraguan border, gave recommendations for restaurants/bars, and was always available should we need anything. We will definitely be back!

Cant wait to come back

We stayed here on our honeymoon, second of three stops in Costa Rica. Jennifer is so professional, easy to coordinate with her. We also met her friend Colette who helped us get settled, offered some suggestions for dining, yoga and surf rentals. Wifi was super easy to connect. The house is CLEAN! The kitchen is great to cook in, and fully equipped with anything you might need. The guard is super welcoming, we enjoyed the pool in the afternoon when the rain would come in. Location is great. Not RIGHT on the strip (when it gets loud at night), but just a short distance away from the main attractions. Would recommend to anyone, and plan to come back again.

fantastic house in tamarindo!

Our family of three just had a wonderful time in Tamarindo. The house is exactly as described and was a great place to relax. It is about a 10 -15 minute walk to the "downtown" area which was actually good because we got to get our exercise! Homeowner Jennifer was in the U.S. during our stay; however, she had her friend Collette meet us for our check in who was very helpful during our stay. I would recommend breakfast at Dona Lee's which is only about a 7 minute walk from the house.

Why they chose this property

This property offers all the commodities of your own home, set conveniently in Tamarindo's residential area within walking distance to Tamarindo Beach and the town's center. You can find restaurants, shopping, beach activities, pharmacies, grocery store all within walking from the condo. Casa Ela #3 offers more privacy compared to other condos in the center of town as they are individual homes, only 4 total and share a pool and common area. You will hear monkeys and wildlife just outside your windows in the trees and Casa Ela far enough away from the town's lively nightlife that you won't know you are in Tamarindo's center.
