Lesson learned
The online listing does not state that bed linen and towels are not provided. We arrived late at night and had to sleep on a coverlet under a sleeping bag that was in a shelf in the wardrobe. We contacted the owner immediately to query the absence of linen and towels. He said that the online listing indicated that these were not provided. This is not the case. The property itself leaves a lot to be desired. The second bedroom contains the washing machine behind a long curtain. There is no wardrobe and no facility for hanging clothes. There is shelf space inset into the wall. The bottom shelf contained all the cleaning materials, the shelf above games, and the top shelf contained a blanket. The disturbing thing is that there is a long glass panel to the left of the front door which has no curtaining, thus allowing anyone outside the front door to look straight into the bedroom. There is no privacy for anyone sleeping in this room. The first bedroom is a challenge. The door does not fit. To the left of the door was a large vacuum cleaner, and above this there is a long perspex sheet that is, in fact, the base of the staircase. The staircase is, in fact, a steep flight of wooden steps, ascending to the upper level. There is a safety gate at the top: understandably so, since a child or elderly person would be at extreme risk, should they attempt to descend using the ropes to the side of the staircase. There is a table, four chairs, a two-person sofa, but no overhead lighting here
