Enjoy spectacular views in this spacious, beautifully furnished home in Balmain, with three bedrooms and three bathrooms. Street parking is available, or it’s just a short ferry ride to new shopping precinct, Barangaroo, with easy access from there to Circular Quay, the Sydney Opera House and the CBD (Downtown).

The Space:
Set over two levels, this supremely comfortable home features a spacious terrace with fantastic views of Sydney Harbour and the CBD (Downtown). The terrace is great for entertaining and offers a perfect view of Sydney’s world famous New Years Eve fireworks display.

From this terrace, you’ll enter a large living room with a comfy “melt-into-it” sofa, arm chair and flat screen TV. The living room flows through to a big dining room with a table that extends to fit ten people. From there, you’ll enter a well-appointed kitchen with a dishwasher, gas cooktop, electric fan-forced oven, microwave and coffee maker. Another generous sized table here can seat up to ten people. There’s a laundry off the kitchen which has a washer and dryer, as well as a WC and shower. Bi-fold doors connect the kitchen to a fabulous rear stepped patio courtyard with an outdoor table, colourful potted flowers, designer tile touches, and an artisan-forged iron pergola and grape vines.

On the second level of the house, you’ll find three well-appointed bedrooms, all with reverse–cycle heating/cooling. One bedroom has a queen sized bed and its own en-suite and balcony with more stunning harbour views. A second bedroom has a double bed and ceiling fan, and the third bedroom has a king sized bed and balcony. There’s also a bathroom on this floor with a WC and separate shower and bathtub.

The Neighborhood:
Historic Balmain is just far enough away from the main tourist hubs of Circular Quay, Sydney Opera House and the CBD to have its relaxed vibe, but close enough to get to the action in ten minutes. With shops, markets, public transport and an abundance of eateries in close proximity, it’s the perfect location.

It’s a short walk to busses and Balmain wharf, with regular ferry services across Sydney’s famous harbour to Barangaroo and Circular Quay, both of which are close to Sydney’s CBD and train stations. If you have a car, there’s easy parking on the street outside the property.

Slice of serenity

What a beautiful property! The location and views from the balconies were divine - best sunrises and sunsets I’ve seen in a while! The communication prior to our trip with Giacomo were detailed and incredibly helpful - he went out of his way to ensure we had a wonderful stay. The decor was beautifully European and quirky. The property location was friendly, close to shops, ferry and bus stops. It was quiet and we will definitely return!!

Stunning View! Fantastic Location! Gorgeous House!

What a beautiful getaway. A lovely quiet street yet so close to everything you need. Bus and Ferry are within minutes walking distance. The view is absolutely stunning. We were allowed an early check in and a late check out - awesome flexibility as it was another couple days until someone else had to check in. We had 6 people stay (3 couples) and all very much enjoyed the stay. When we return to Sydney we'll definitely be staying here - nice and quiet, yet so close to everything you need. Catch a Ferry to Circular Quay and from there you can go almost anywhere in Sydney! Buses run so regularly too. Balmain isn't your typical tourist destination where there are heaps of hotels and travel guides - it's a gorgeous trendy suburb, filled with shops, cafes and bars. Will definitely be back! :-) Thank you for such a great getaway!

Fantastic location, amenities and service

From our first email contact until our final goodbye, we were pleased and impressed with this property. The owners have left nothing undone - they've thought of everything! The house is spacious and comfortable. Every amenity we could have needed was available. The neighborhood is quiet and secluded yet a nice walk from any shop, restaurant, transport you need. We had no issues with the specific address, using Uber and Uber Eats daily. Would recommend this for families, friends, even couples.

Excellent Location and Lovely Home

We loved our stay here because it felt like home. It was spacious so we could all spread out, we could cook and had plenty of sitting space. The outdoor area are so lovely too. We met Lynn too and what a beautiful gem of a person. Thank you for the hospitality- we would stay again.

An Unexpected Gem! - Spectacular, beautiful, central.

One sentence says it all: this house is the real deal. Not only is it charming and beautiful on the inside, the views from the front courtyard are simply spectacular. Set in a quiet enclave of East Balmain and a short walk to the ferry stop, it allows you to get around by ferry instead of driving. At night, you can see fireworks, and marvel at the city views. Both neighborhood and hosts are delightful. They attended to every detail imaginable yet ensured we had our privacy. This location exceeded even our highest expectations. I'd give 6 stars if I could!

Home away from home in Sydney!

This is the perfect place to stay if you are looking for a place with all the amenities of home. Beautifully appointed with spectacular views of the city. Just a short ferry ride from all the sights. Quiet, spotless and to top it off fantastic hosts. We were a group of five friends staying in the flat and enjoyed coming home to this apartment after a day of discovering Sydney. It’s only a very short walk to the ferry which takes you past the Opera House providing excellent photo opportunities. Don’t hesitate to book this property- you won’t be disappointed.

Excellent overall experience!

Wow! This home was truly a blessing to my family as we traveled all around Sydney. The owners greeted us upon arriving and provided a great review of the home and the area of Balmain so that we could really get a local experience. The home was lovely and comfortable - especially the beds which we really appreciated after spending most of our days walking. The 3 bathrooms helped immensely as we traveled with two girls in their early 2's who needed their space as well as the parentals! The home has beautiful direct views of Sydney from the front balcony and is situated in close proximity so that you can easily walk to the local bus and pier which can transport you into Sydney harbor and various other important sites. We were able to shop locally for some amazing fresh food in Balmain. The home was well equipped to cook and make the basics. I would highly recommend this home for any travelers looking for a large family space and access to a beautiful historical town and easy access to the city and local sites. The owners were delightful and provided a lot of information to make our visit easy.

Perfect

The stay for our family of 4 was perfect. This house is lovely with a magnificent views of the city and harbor. We enjoyed the 15 min walk through the neighborhood to the catch the ferry and the ferry ride in and out of the city was a highlight. The house has a couple of terrific outdoor areas that we, unfortunately, didn't have the opportunity to use. It's furnished with beautiful, comfortable antiques. All three bedrooms are spacious with a bed that is both luxurious and super comfortable. The 3 bathrooms are nice and clean with great showers. The wifi and washer/dryer work well. The kitchen is perfect for both preparing meals and as a gathering area (I believe the table in the kitchen seats 8-10 plus additional seating at the bar counter that runs along the wall opposite the appliances.) I should mention that the kitchen wasn't stocked with spices/oils, or at least we didn't find any. The owners are terrific and go out of their way to make the stay special. We'd go back in a heartbeat!

Home away from home!

That We all loved this property, would be an understatement. Giacomo and Lynn were wonderful right from the day we initiated our interest. We stayed here for a conference in Sydney and felt as if we were local commuters, often greeting the same folks and doggies in the park. We loved dinner at the London hotel and became regulars. Also, Papa Joe and friends took care of us for easy meals and groceries (he makes pasta dishes for take out). It’s so easy to get to anywhere in Sydney by ferry. The parks are lovely throughout town, so it is a bit of an oasis from the hustle and crowds in Sydney. Also there is lots of construction in Sydney at the time of our stay, so we were delighted to be out of the tourist area. I would stay here again, and also recommend it highly to anyone who is fond of beautiful places with every techy, convenience as well as the comfort of a home beautifully decorated and cared for by the hosts.

Great property and Giacomo & Lyn were incredibly helpful

We loved the property and the location is superb. It is easy to get into CBD Sydney using the ferry and to get around other places by using a combination of ferries and buses. We needed to stay an extra day due to severe weather and Giacomo and Lyn were very gracious and helpful. Loved East Balmain and the views of Sydney and the harbor were wonderful. The kitchen was very well equipped. Can’t say enough good things about this property, Giacomo, and Lyn.

Lovely stay

We had a lovely stay in this great location with amazing views. Beautiful historic home with period details and modern kitchen and bathrooms. Friendly onsite owners checked in frequently and had lots of suggestions for things to do. Easy check in and check out, and plenty of information with everything we needed to know during our stay. Though we had a vehicle, most everything we needed was within walking distance and we made ample use of the ferry system which was the most convenient way to get to all of the tourist attractions around the harbor.

Great location, great house and tremendous hosts

Six of us spent three nights at Giacomo and Lyn's house. It was very well appointed and had everything could you need. We met both Lyn and Giacomo and both took the time to let us know all about the area, transport, food etc. This lovely house is close to all you could need with shops, hotels, cafes all within a easy walk as was public transport, not to mention the spectacular views. I can highly recommend this location and you will not be disappointed.

Beautiful House in a Great Location

We had eight amazing nights in Giacomo and Lyn's house in Balmain East. The house is very spacious (we were a party of four adults), clean and full of everything you could possibly need for a perfect stay. The kitchen, in particular, has every appliance you could wish for. It is only around 15 minutes walk to the bus stop of ferry terminal (although the hills are quite steep) and the walk to the ferry terminal is through a lovely little park by the water. The views from the balcony at the front of the house are to die for, day or night (the night time skyline, especially, is amazing!). If there is no-one staying in the house next door, Giacomo is happy for you to use their roof top garden - great for a pre-dinner drink or a night cap) We were welcomed by Giacomo and Lyn when we arrived and made to feel at home right away. Giacomo took us on a small tour of Balmain, showing us some of the many shops and restaurants (try the Royal Oak for great food and service). They were extremely helpful throughout our stay, though they weren't intrusive but just left us to get on with our holiday unless we needed something, when Giacomo was on hand immediately. He gave us lots of help and tips for getting around Sydney with recommendations for places to visit. Balmain is a great place to stay with boutique shops and lovely restaurants. It has a real vibe to it without being too busy and has everything you need. We've rented a number of properties in Europe, the USA and Australia and this has to be one of the best. If we ever make it back to Sydney, this will be our goto place. If you go, you definitely won't be disappointed.

Lovely Victorian home in Balmain East overlooking downtown Sydney

Being a group of 6 adults, a residence with sufficient sleeping and eating arrangements was not going to be easy. We found the perfect place. Overlooking downtown Sydney from across the water was a dream come true for our 4 nights. The 10 minute walk to the ferry through a residential neighbourhood was also enjoyable. With a deck on the front we sat outside each night and enjoyed the weather and lights of downtown Sydney. Our hosts, Giacomo and Lyn, were very friendly and most helpful for tips about our temporary home. If you enjoy the quietness of a neighbourhood, but yet close enough to the ferry system, I would highly recommend staying here.

Our Sydney Experience

Lyn and Giacomo were terrific hosts. We appreciated that Giacomo was there to greet us, show us the nearest supermarket as well as the way to the ferry. The house was immaculate. We loved the kitchen. The night time view of the harbor from the front patio was spectacular. A great way to spend our last few days in Australia. Highly recommend the house.

Balmain was a great location, excellent for our New Years celebrations, a clear view of all Sydney’s fireworks, travelling daily by boat or bus to various locations, a really great base. The accommodation met all our needs and was a good family space. Lyn & Giacomo were great landlords, very helpful & going the extra mile to make our holiday special.

This place was great, all was in working order and lived up to the pictures with an amazing view on the deck and from the bedroom balcony above. The setting is very quiet yet convenient to bus ferry and shops via a short walk, and it was easy to park on the street for the few days we rented a car to go farther afield. Wonderful victorian house with all the modern amenities.

Words fail us to express our appreciation of Lyn's and Giacomo's house. All 6 of us really enjoyed the vastness of the house, the wonderful terraces and the extraordinary view of Sydney from the bedroom facing the bay. Lyn and Giacomo are the hosts "par excellence" always ready to help and make sure our stay was pleasant. We would not hesitate one second to recommend "Two Heats" to anyone wanting to spend time in Sydney in a very comfortable house. Everything is close by using the bus or the ferry. Renée

Wonderful, perfect location!!

House was in a quiet nice neighborhood, but close to lots of things. This was the perfect house for us, location was perfect in the Balmain East area where there were many walking distance friendly restruants and stores!! And short 10minute walk to the buses and to the ferry going across to the Sydney Opera House/circular quay ferry hub. Perfect, perfect location!!! House was loaded with charm and very comfortable , clean and well kept. Owner Giacomo was very warm, friendly and helpful. Very eager to help and answer questions. We used a lot of his restruant suggestions and was happily pleased with all of them!! Owners also compiled a folder with helpful brochures and information. We highly recommend this house and would come back and rent it again!!!

Icing on the Cake!

We wrapped up our two week vacation with a stay at "Two Hearts" & wish we had another two weeks to luxuriate here! It is truly spectacular-whether you want to explore Sydney or unwind at "home". It offers the best of both worlds. Giacomo could not have been more helpful with advice on maximizing our time to explore, OPEL tickets, ferry schedules,personal favorites...we felt we had our own concierge! The location is perfect-Sydney is a walk through the park & a 12 minute ferry ride away. The villa could not be lovelier- bright, spotless, comfortable without being stuffy, superb views of the harbor, beautiful bedrooms & linens. Thank you Giacomo for opening your villa to us. We look forward to a return visit.
