Great spot for a family ski vacation

Fantastic week in Vail. Location is extremely convenient -- proximate to Lionshead & Vail Village -- allowing close access to skiing / restaurants / shopping but ultimately with more space & privacy (great views of the snowcats) at the end of the day. A car made this particularly easy, though there are busses as well (we never took). The posted pictures & owner's description were spot on. We made every breakfast -- and cooked, grilled, or ordered take-out every evening. It's hard to want to leave the condo to go out to dinner after hitting the hot tub & lighting a fire in the natural fireplace. Kids loved the bunk room. Aaron was very responsive and helpful from scheduling through checkout. Thanks for a great vacation!

Had a great time, but place needs upgrades

We stayed over spring break at the end of March. The location was great. A little far from the bus stop but still convenient. I’m not sure if it was because it was close to the end of the season or not, but the place was a little rougher than expected. It is outdated and I think the photos are fair. There are several things that need to be repaired or upgraded. The worst part was the carpet. It needs to be removed. No great places for walking pets for bathroom breaks. Overall, I thought the place was charming. My family and I had a great time, but the place would be fantastic with some upgrades and get rid of that carpet. There are several minor repairs required on door handles, water faucet etc. The host contacted me during our stay to check in, which I appreciated. Bottom line, my family had a great time and location was fantastic.

Great ski vacation place in Vail

We had a terrific time in this property. It was very close to Lionshead…easy commute back and forth. The place was immaculately clean and we had everything we needed for a great ski trip. The beds were very comfortable. There was a lot of space for our party of five. The hot tub was a bonus after a full day of skiing. The kitchen had everything we needed to make home-cooked meals. And the garage was very useful, particularly on snowy days. The property manager was very responsive and friendly. I would highly recommend this place.

Great location with a lot of space.

The condominium is very spacious for a family of 6. The children enjoy the area outside in the back. The drive to the ski area is only 5min.

Amazing home and amazing hosts!

The house is really amazing, plenty of amenities and space. It does not feel like a house you rent but more like a house your good friend allowed you to use. Aaron and his family were more than accommodating and responded to our inquiries really fast, making our stay very, very easy and relaxing. Thank you for an amazing stay :) Felipe R.

Loving Vail

We had a wonderful time in Vail. This condo is so convenient to Vail Village. It is very well equipped for cooking and grilling. They allow pets so that was very handy for us. Very comfortable throughout and good beds. The back patio is nice with lots of hummingbirds, and we even had a deer watch us. I would definitely rent again.

GLORIOUS HOLIDAY IN VAIL

VAIL IS AN ADULT DISNEY WORLD WHERE EVERYTHING IS MANICURED AND DESIGNED FOR COMFORT AND PLEASURE. THE TOWNHOUSE WAS VERY COMFORTABLE AND THE OWNER VERY GRACIOUS AND RESPONSIVE OF REQUESTS. THE TOWNHOUSE IS AT THE END OF A BEAUTIFUL STREET WHERE VIEWS ARE OUTSTANDING AND BREATHTAKING. IF YOU ARE A COOK, THE KITCHEN IS WELL EQUIPPED FOR SERVING A LARGE GROUP OF PEOPLE. THE BALCONY HAS FANTASTIC VIEWS OF THE MOUNTAINS WHILE THE DECK IS COZY, QUIET, AND RELAXING. THE MASTER BEDROOM AND BATH ARE LARGE AND INCLUDE A CHAIR AND OTTOMAN FOR READING OR RELAXING. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY.

Nice long stay

The unit was fully stocked and everything works. This unit was exactly as advertised and owner was great to communicate with. We appreciated being able to bring our pets, and they enjoyed the mountain out back. Plenty of birds and wildlife. Quite neighborhood and nice neighbors, stunning view of Vail Lionshead in the day and stars at night. Overall great long stay.

A great stay

This house was the perfect destination for my wife, me and our three boys. The location was very close to the mountain and it offered great views of the resort. The kitchen seemed to be brand new and the hot tub right in the back were a welcome homecoming after each ski day. The unit owner was very easy to deal with and the home was a great value for our vacation dollar.

Vail ski rental

Newly redone, this is a wonderful home to rent. The kitchen and bathrooms are great. The drive in garage makes things soooo convenient. Great views of Vail. The bus shuttle is very convenient in terms of location. We loved the fireplace and cozy living room. Great for making s'mores !!!! Hot tub on the back deck is perfect for the end of the day. Convenient location to Vail Village, Lionshead and just down the toad to supermarkets. A rental I HIGHLY recommend !!!!!!!!!

Eiger chalet excellent. Great location.

This is my third time staying at the Eiger chalet and it was absolutely fantastic. The owner had remodeled the entire place.... the kitchen is not only functional and ultra convenient,....everything is exactly where I thought it would or should be. I like the addition of the Kuerig coffee maker. The appliances are first class.all high-end. The living room, has a wonderful comfortable couche and a large loveseat. (The coach converts to a queen bed with no middle metal post, very comfortable) The TV is a large flat screen. I have to admit I spent a lot of time watching the Vail Channel and Outside TV channel. The dining area has a huge window which allows you to look out into the snow covered backyard and hill , The dining room table will accommodate eight but probably six or seven is the best . we've had seven The owner, has a wonderful six person hot tub outside and a gas grill. He also has a "relic double chair " or maybe triple? In the backyard. I think it came from Arapahoe Basin. I love being able to do laundry during the week so I did that. He he The Morning view from the master bedroom and living room is spectacular Vail Mountain, and the gore range, as is the fieldstone fireplace.( and nice dry wood)

Great Vail rental for group of friends or a couple of families

We've rented several places in Summit County and this is by far the best spot in Vail. Its right across from Vail mountain with a spectacular view. The owners have recently renovated the kitchen and bathrooms so its all brand new and spotless. 3 nice bedrooms with comfortable beds and nice linens. Big private hot tub, heated garage, and washer/dryer. Highly recommended for a ski vacation for a group of friends or a couple of families.

Excellent Property with Amazing Views and Easy Access

We have stay in this unit several times. It an excellent location and a nicely updated. We love that its a great mix of being secluded and relaxing, yet a mere few minutes to the Village and the ski hill. The après ski hot tub is perfect for relaxing and completely private and scenic. We are also a big fan of having a private heated garage. Its great to wake up in the morning and see your favorite runs across Vail Mountain. The property is superbly maintained and managed. It feels as though you're being accommodated by a gracious relative, as opposed staying in a commercial rental property. The owner was exceptionally organized, and a pleasure to work with.

I was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts where I developed a love of outdoor activities including hiking, mountain biking and skiing. I moved to Colorado in 2006 to enjoy these activities to the fullest!

Why they chose this property

This property was my dream home purchase in 2005 with spectacular views of Vail Ski Resort and the Gore Mountain Range. This home has some of the best views in the entire Vail Valley and sits high above the highway with no noise impact. Very few homes in Vail have private back yards with private hot tubs!

What makes this property unique

Our home is unique for Vail in that it has a private backyard, deck with private hot tub and an attached garage (both rarities in the Vail Valley). Our home is dog friendly assuming you have a friendly dog ;-)
Staying in hotel rooms in Vail Village has its advantages but the cost can cripple a family ski vacation budget by day 1. Factor in multiple hotel rooms and three meals a day in restaurants and it is easy to see how our 3 bedroom home is perfect for one or two families who want to enjoy Vail and not break the bank! For example, One family of 4 staying in a hotel room will average $600-$1200 per room per night PLUS an additional $300 a day in food ($50 for breakfast, $100 for lunch and $150 for dinner and that's on the cheap side!). But that $300 could buy food for two families for a week of meals in our fully stocked kitchen! Save money or extend your vacation a few more days in our spacious townhome. We look forward to having you!
