A very homely comfortable stay

We had a great time at Casa Margherita 2 in Como. It is a nice stroll to the centre of the city. Set in lovely gardens and surroundings, it felt very calming and was wonderful to hear the birds singing. It was ideal to be able to sit in the garden and enjoy a glass of complimentary wine. Thank you! Gigliola was very kind and helpful, explaining things well. She suggested restaurants and nearby supermarkets etc and kindly organised transport for us to Milan when we left. Many thanks Gigliola and Adriano! We hope to return.

Homely quiet comfortable accomodation in centre of Como.

The accomodation was spacious, well equipped in a quiet safe area of Como. The apartment is a short walk 10 minutes to centre and lake with a number of shops 2 minutes away. Gigliola and her husband were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again.

Comfortable and well located

We found the apartment very comfortable for three adults, and well equipped for a stay longer than the three days we had in Como. Our hosts were very welcoming and helpful.The kitchen is very suitable for meals if required, and the hosts very keen to be of every assistance for shopping and other advice and information. The location is ideal, as it is close to the lakeside activities and yet in a quiet residential neighbourhood.

"Casa Margherita 2 is a l...

"Casa Margherita 2 is a large, clean apartment. There is a lovely view out to the mountains and in the forefront is a church bell tower. This apartment is equipped with everything needed for a fabulous stay in Como and within walking distance of absolutely everything! The apartment is tucked away in a quiet street and the stay was very peaceful. The owners are friendly and helpful."

"Our family, 4 adults tra...

"Our family, 4 adults traveled to Como for a family wedding. we found this accommodation to be exactly what we wanted and anticipated. The position, a little out of town, this ensured quite nights and great ambiance. There is a bell tower outside the windows,about 200 meters. it chimes during the day and adds that Italian feel. The accommodation is old world and comfortable, the owner who lives in the adjacent property is very kind and accommodating, nothing is a problem from drying our clothes on a wet day to supplying umbrellas as required. I will be in Italy again in 2013 and hope to pop into Como and say ciao! if i were staying in Como again I would stay here again."

"hose wanting a true Ital...

"hose wanting a true Italian experience would enjoy staying in this quiet and comfortable apartment away from the tourist crowds, approx 8 minutes walk from the city centre. Our hosts were extremely welcoming,generous and helpful. In our short stay we became familiar with the friendly local shop owners and felt very much at home. Our impressions of Lake Como: hearing the church bells chiming throughout the town (not always in unison), the piazzas, the sparkling lake, living outside the city centre and seeing glimpses of the Swiss Alps with snow caps and the beautiful churches."

A comfortable apartment in a great location

Gigliola and Adriana were welcoming and attentive hosts. The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable ten day stay. The views from the windows over the nearby church tower to the hills beyond the town are delightful. The location is perfect. Close to the town centre with all the shops and cafes, the railway stations, the bus station and the ferry boat piers. No need for a car with all the public transport close by. All in all a great holiday apartment.

Wonderful stay in Como

We really enjoyed our stay with wonderful hosts Gigliola and Adriano. The apartment is located very close to the center, about 15 min walk, and the streets are mostly flat. Also easy walk to train and ferry. The apartment is spacious and has everything on needs to stay comfortable. Great find!!

MOST gracious hosts of all time!

Upon arrival, we were greeted by our gracious hosts to a beautiful, traditional apartment with lovely views and garden. The hosts were helpful, supplying a map and cards to recommended restaurants, along with a cold glass of water. The next morning I was greeted with a cup of coffee as I sat in the garden. The evening before I left, our hosts brought us delicious homemade chocolate truffles. They were the most lovely people.

Charming Como villa

The hosts went out of their way to welcome us and make us feel comfortable. The accommodations were peaceful, clean, relaxing and well appointed. The location was off the beaten path yet close to the shops, restaurants, transportation and market.

Amazing

Everything about our stay here was unbelievable. The property and location were exactly as listed, if not better, and SO CLEAN. The view from the main bedroom was amazing, the gardens were beautiful, and the location was perfect; nice and close to the city center, but far enough that we felt like had a quiet and private spot--we travelled with our two kiddos (4yrs and 6yrs) and they had no problem with the walks to and from (especially when we were going for gelato). Our hosts were so wonderful, they were so kind and helpful; we felt safe and welcomed immediately. When we come back to Como, we would love to stay here again, and will be recommending this spot to anyone we know who will be travelling to Como.

Amazing host and wonderful place to stay!

This was a sweet rental in a residential location. The quaintness of the home and neighborhood is priceless, with the bell tower ringing the time 8:00-9:00pm. The hosts are wonderful and gracious. If you are active people, everything is walkable. But if not, their are buses at your fingertips. The house had everything we needed. We will defiantly come back to Como and stay here again!

Perfect Holiday Stay

This apartment was lovely and spacious, spotless, in a great location, quiet, and has very friendly owners! We knew exactly where to find the apartment thanks to the excellent directions provided, and we were given lots of recommendations for where to eat and visit. Highly recommend, we will be back!

A quaint apartment in Como, Italy.

We came to Italy for a family wedding; our first family European vacation. Gigliola and Adriano are lovely hosts. They helped us learn about transport from the train station to their adorable Lake Como flat. They live close by, and gave a personal and complete introduction to the property. Their restaurant referrals were so helpful, and Gigliola called ahead for us to make sure they were open. And Adriano even gave us a lift to the wedding at Villa Geno! The flat is a short walk up the hill from the city center, and far enough away to be very peaceful and quiet. It was perfect for us.

Wonderful and Quaint

Absolutely a great place to stay. Gigliola was fantastic to work with as we planned our trip. Very responsive. The house is in a very quiet neighborhood. A short walk to the main attractions. She would even bring us a few snacks as we sat outside and enjoyed a bottle of wine!

Wonderful hosts, spacious accommodation, kitchen well stocked, great location. Highly recommend.

Great location which is 10 minutes from centre. Local cafes offer a great welcome to visitors. Hosts in property were extremely helpful and welcoming. Would definitely return and recommend to friends.

Bel appartamento nel centro di Como

L'appartamento è spazioso ed attrezzato completamente. L'arredamento è scelto con cura, era un grande piacere stare qui. Dal posto è facile raggiungere il centro, sono soli pochi passi. I proprietari sono molto gentili e sempre raggiungibile. Ci hanno dato informazioni molto utili. Possiamo raccomandare questo appartamento e ritorniamo volentieri.
