Twin Granddaughters 18th Birthday

We celebrated our twin granddaughters high school graduation and 18th birthdays. The large apartment served us very well with two bedrooms and a bath and a half. We enjoyed the kitchen open into the living room too. The sixth floor views of the Arc de Triomphe were beautiful. Our host François was very gracious and had an English speaking friend greet us and tour us through the apartment on our arrival.

Location Location

First of all the location was perfect for walking and transportation within Paris and beyond. The apartment is bright and spacious and having 1 1/2 baths was a major asset. It was also extremely clean and nicely furnished. Perhaps the best part was dealing with the owner, François. While his English is limited there was no problem communicating with his assistant as well as François himself. Shopping and dining choices are numerous and convenient. We would happily return for another stay in the future. Merci François!

Home Away from Home in Paris

This apartment made a wonderful base for our 9 day stay in Paris. It is in a great location, close to the Arc de Triomphe but very much a local neighborhood. Cafes and stores are full of friendly locals. It is just a short walk to the Charles de Gaulle Etoile stop. Be prepared with a French phrase book at nearby restaurants and shops. The apartment was very spacious for our family of four. Bedrooms were a good size as was the bathroom with washing machine. Windows line the living room wall and let in lots of light. We even watched the New Year's Eve fireworks from those windows! Francois was a very warm and sweet host. He brought along Stephane to our check in, and Stephane helped us communicate clearly when questions came up later. We were so comfortable - it was really like a home away from home. We would love to come back again.

Spacious, well-located, charming apt run by gracious host

We highly recommend this apartment close to the metro, taxi stop, and buses, with a side view of the Arc de Triomphe. Beautiful light in the spacious living room, tub and shower, and attentive, very pleasant owner.

Superb location

Excellent location. Many restaurants and bars in the vicinity. Short walk to Poncet market street. Lovely apartment with Arc de Triomphe view. Would definitely stay again.

Perfect Property and Location

The property was exactly as advertised. The location was fantastic, we could see the Arc from the window. Wonderfull bright and airy with beautiful afternoon sun streaming in to a big airy high ceiling living room. The bedrooms were silent and away from the road so we could all sleep peacefully. Having bathroom and a separate half bath made the mornings much easier with 2 adults and 2 kids getting up. Everything was very clean. There was a lovely little market with lots of fresh and gourmet food stalls just a 5 minute walk away. Coffee and pastries every morning. Francois the host was very friendly and very communicative before and during our stay if we had questions. He brought his niece who spoke english with him on first day to make sure we could understand everything. Thank you so much for letting us stay in your apartment Francois! It made a wonderful trip to Paris even better than I could have imagined.

Paris Vacation

This VRBO rental exceeded our expectations and made our two week stay truly memorable. I shared the apartment with two cousins- it is indeed as roomy and spacious as the photos indicate. It had everything we needed to make ourselves at home, and the beds were very comfortable. The windows did a great job of keeping street noise out. Francois and his wife gave us a warm welcome, and walked us through the things we needed to know. We did not use the oven or dishwasher, but the washing machine came in handy. The location is amazing! Right around the corner from a major metro station, with grocery and pharmacy just down the street. Lots of restaurants and bistros a short walk away. Avenue MacMahon is breathtaking at night- the hotel across the street is lit up with blue lights and makes the whole street look magical. I might add that security in the building was great, and I always felt safe in the neighborhood.

Luxury near the Arc de Triomphe

We spent an absolutely wonderful 2 weeks in the spacious, luxurious apartment, suited well for 4 travelers. Charming as well as modern, and very well-equipped. Although very close to the Arc de Triomphe (and Metro stop), the neighborhood was not touristy, with cafes and small shops and even a street market close by. The hosts are very gracious. They brought a translator with them to help with the check-in and check-out instructions.

Perfect stay in Paris

We loved staying at Francois ' house. The apartment is big and comfortable. It has all you need for a week in Paris. It has thoughtful things, like scissors in every room and coffee, lots of it! The ice chest was full of cokes and water. Little details that makes one 's stay so nice. You feel at home. There was a Monoprix supermarket 3 blocks away, and a bakery near the super market. The subway half a block away, connecting in almost every direction. I would definitely come back! We had a great time. Ideal for a family of 4! Thank you Francois, Maeva and Francois ' lovely wife, for a fantastic stay in Paris!

Un plaisir!

Appartement magnifique, confortable, excessivement propre. Bien qu’il soit en plein centre de Paris , aucun bruit grâce aux fenêtres à double vitrage de qualité. Les propriétaires sont charmants et très disponibles. A cause des canicules, ils nous ont fournis gracieusement 2 ventilateurs. Et le 38 degrés vécu à Paris était tout à fait supportable dans l’appartement. Je retournerais avec un grand plaisir dans cet appartement et nous le recommandons sans hésitation. Apartment near Arc de Triomphe

Our party of three spent a week here in April, 2019 (myself along with my 14-year-old son and my mother in her sixties.) The apartment was spacious and well-equipped. The location was as described, very close to the Arc de Triomphe and very close to the Etoile Metro station. (However, on the weekends the nearest metro stations are closed due to the Yellow Vest protests. Plan accordingly.) The view from the 6th floor is lovely and luckily there is an elevator in the building. Francois, the owner of the apartment, was very friendly and he met us upon our arrival and welcomed us with cold drinks. We could have done with a more thorough orientation of the apartment as it took us several days to find a few items like the toaster and a full-size broom. We did have a problem with the bathtub drain not draining very well, but Francois came over the next morning and had it fixed. We very much enjoyed coming “home” to the large, sunny living room and dining room after a day of sightseeing. There was plenty of room for the three of us. The master bedroom is a good size. The second bedroom with two twin beds is very small and the bedspreads are dated, but the place is kept clean and tidy. We stayed in the month of April and it was already getting warm at night, so I can’t imagine what July and August would be like with no air conditioning, but we were comfortable during our stay. My only complaint is that it has been almost two weeks since we checked out and I still do not have my security deposit back, despite emailing the owner and the property manager and asking for it. Francois himself met us at checkout and everything was perfectly in order, so it would have been great to get the deposit back in a more timely manner. It was not a small sum of money. Apparently VRBO will refund it automatically in a few days if he doesn’t get around to doing it. Other than that, the apartment was a good fit for our vacation.
