Best beds!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house has by far the best beds I have ever experienced in a rental home. Spacious living room and lovely screened in porch. Couple downsides were things like, hand mixer but no beaters, very little cooking utensils--plenty of pans and pots but little to stir, vacuum didn't work so cleaning up pet fur was hard on checkout. Overall I would stay here again.

Coastal Breezes

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very good location but the house needs a full cleaning. Kitchen supplies were dirty and thick dirt was around the edges of the walls and especially along sliding glass doors. Outside of property and grounds also needs cleaning. It was very spacious and convenient to the things we enjoyed.

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First it's nasty.. get there a day early cause you going to clean. Do not use any dishes. Wash as you go.. trust me. Look at the silverware drawer. It's stuck to the bottom of the drawer due to how nasty it is.

Very Disappointed with Coastal Breezes and Jekyll Island Realty

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very unhappy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I have never had so many e-mails, credit checks etc from a property in my life. I have traveled all over the world, owned 4 time shares and 3 condominiums all on the beach- 1 in Destin, 1 in Panama City and one on Maui. I thought I was going to have to give a hair follicle and blood sample when I checked in. I have also never stayed anywhere in my life that did not provide linens, towels and basic amenities. The realty also told me I was one house from the ocean. That was a lie and no beach access in that street. Very disappointed and will not return.

Loved the location of Coastal Breezes!! Large house with great layout…..one concern was the 4th BR it was located in an area off the kitchen and there was an outside door with only a latch so it didn’t feel very secure in that area. I love Jekyll and have always felt safe but times are changing so I hope they consider a more secure door. Loved the screened in patio and close walk to the beach. Super friendly neighbors!!!

Old property. No updates. Ceiling leaking in 1st bedroom. Sun porch screens were completely detached

The sun porch issue created a seriously safety hazard. Literally you could enter the property easily from the street. Completely unsettling.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very much enjoyed our stay in this lovely, older vacation home. I pored over all the available homes and chose very carefully. This home was even better than I expected. It would be nice if these rentals provided a little more (we are used to Meyer vacation units in Gulf Shores) like bedding, bathroom towels and kitchen towels and washer/dryer etc but that’s really small. And we did know ahead of time as it was in print. Some might think the property unclean because of the appearance of dirt in the corners. That’s just age. Sure, new floors would be nice but think about it like it was your property. I definitely would suggest some tree/bush trimming in the ones in the front yard especially by the driveway entrance. The entrance is a little hard to see through for driving in and out.

Review of coastal breezes

Jekyll island itself is beautiful and we had a great time. Our stay was ok- it was fine for what we needed since we didn’t spend much time at the condo. Communication - I messaged the property managers twice through vrbo weeks before the stay and never received a response. However, when I called about an unrelated issue, they responded promptly. The app was helpful regarding information about restaurants and such. Fyi- the WiFi password provided in the app was incorrect, but the correct information is located on the router. Cleanliness - the place was not clean when we arrived, and smelled musky and like dog. The kitchen carpet wAs covered in crumbs and was obviously not vacuumed in a while and the floor wasn’t swept since dirty napkins and crumbs were also found. The shower in the master bathroom is slow to drain. The house is overall dusty and not very clean. Comfort- the place was spacious. although it is a is 4bed, 3bath, the fourth bedroom and third bathroom are located in what I would call the garage. There were four of us (2 couples) so it didn’t matter to us, but something other renters may want to consider. I personally wouldn’t sleep in there and neither would anyone else I traveled with. Beds were somewhat comfortable. Couches could certainly use an upgrade. There really is nothing provided in the condo (blow dryer, condiments, etc), which was a little inconvenient to have to bring all those items. Location- great location close to the beach. About a 5 min drive to the main restaurants and shops on the island. We couldn’t use the beach access because of the tide as other renters indicated, but we didn’t mind walking a street over.

November 2021 Stay

The house was cheerful and clean and the kitchen was very well stocked. We had quite a cold spell while we were there the week of Thanksgiving. We had difficulty getting the living area warm enough so we all had to bundle up. The bedrooms were warmer but not the bathrooms. The house is in a great location, right at the beach but we couldn’t get on the beach because of the deep and wide puddle of water at the bottom of the stairs and it was that way at low tide as well. It was entirely too cold to wade through it. That was very disappointing and it seemed to be pretty much the same at all the stair accesses. Access to the beach was why we paid extra to be close to the beach so we wouldn’t have to drive. We enjoyed being able to have our pup with us. I imagine it would have been a different experience during the summer.
