A really comfortable apartment , which was great value for money and very well situated. It was set in a quiet and peaceful location and yet walking distance to the main attractions and amenities. I loved the extra touches and Laurie made us feel very welcome.
Laurie was so kind and accommodating. Made sure we had shabbat meals covered and gave us recommendations for the town. Definitely recommend!

Very pleasant, newly renovated and exactly as described
We spent 1 night here with our infant and had a lovely time. The space is separate from the main house, so was quiet. The old stone walls are artfully integrated into the newly renovated space. GREAT SHOWER! VERY clean and fresh. Lauri was very sweet to us, brought us a baby crib and fresh milk when we arrived. Also, of interest were 3 little turtles in the outdoor courtyard :) outdoor space was great to sit in at night, comfy outdoor furniture. Loved our stay and would definitely stay again!

The Rappeports have been living in Safed for almost 30 years.
Laurie is originally from Detroit and made aliyah -- immigrated -- in 1983, settling in Safed in 1985. The Rappeports are one of the first English-speaking families to have settled in the Artist Quarter of Safed.
Laurie worked in Tzfat's Tourist Information Center for 13 years and is able to assist visitors in their Safed experience with many ideas and suggestions for exploring the city. The website is Laurie's site.
Laurie and her children live with their dogs, cat, tortoises and various visiting creatures in Tzfat's central Old City area. Laurie opened the Myrtle the Turtle kosher guest house of Safed in 2005 and enjoys having visitors stay at her Safed Tzimmer.
