Fine property with it challenges
We stayed with our 5 kids (11 - 16 years) in the accommodation for 12 days in August. We liked the house and the pool. The bedrooms are okay but you feel the presence of the family normally living in the house as we found notes to not use the oven/ orn and the family table inside. The house keeper Thérèse was very friendly and cleaned the house well though.
As the weather was 35+ Celcius we missed air-conditioning as the accommodation became extremely hot inclusive the nights. The house was spacious however we missed locks on the door. Even toilets and bathrooms could not be locked.
We spent a lot of time at the pool which was great for the kids and welcome during the hot days. Uzès and Nîmes were great places to visit. The pool was cleaned once during our stay. We noticed that our swimsuits became yellow afterwards on which we warned the owner of the house. She thought the cause was our suncream which we doubted.
During our trip back home the owner asked us why we emptied a 5 liter can of chlorine in the pool which we definitely did not. We think this was the cause of the yellow swim suits and were happy that it did not cause furhter harm. Instead of being concerned the owner was blaming us.
Furthermore we received pictures of a broken wall in the part of the garden which we did not visit. The owner asked us without any introduction what happened and called us angry. If we had something to do with it we would definetely reported it. Altogether not a pleasant goodbye.
If the owner would have communicated less aggressively we would give 3 stars to the accommodation!
