Un petit coin de paradis.

Il s'agit de notre quatrième séjour au Paradou. Séjour tout aussi merveilleux que les précédents. Cette villa est devenue notre paradis, outre l'accueil sans pareil de Philippe et Véronique, c'est le lieu idéal pour se ressourcer et recharger les batteries. La villa et ses ondes bienfaitrices invitent à la sérénité. Le confort y est total, avec la piscine ombragée et la chambre climatisée. Outre cela, le village d'Allauch offre des ballades délicieuses dans un décor on ne peut plus charmant. Nous ne pouvons plus nous passer de ces parenthèses enchantées.

Un coin de Paradis en Provence

La location est parfaite, extrêmement propre, bien entretenue avec les facilitées de haut standard ( lit et oreillers ergonomiques, wifi, piscine avec remous pour la nage, stationnement privé etc...) Un acceuil irréprochable de Phillippe et Véro, attentionnés mais discret avec de bons conseils. La location offre des vues merveilleuses de Marseilles et de ses couchers de soleil de la terrasse. Allauch est un petit Village en montagne, très accueillant avec tout à quelques pas de marches de la location ( 7 restaurants, dépanneurs, 3 traiteurs, 3 boulangeries, pharmacie et plus). Le Village est calme en soirée mais il est situés stratégiquement face aux axes routiers , pour visiter la Provence dont en autres La Sciota, Cassis, Marseilles, Aix, Les baux et plus). eine Woche im "Paradies"

Wir verbrachten eine (leider) abgekürzte Woche im kleinen Paradies von Phillippe über den Dächern von Allauch und Marseille. Ein wirklich besonderer Ort voller Magie - wie uns Philippe kurz vor unserer Abreise durch kleine Anekdoten über das Haus bestätigen konnte. Phillippe empfing uns voller Herzlichkeit und führte uns durch das wunderschöne Haus. Angefangen vom Pool mit Gegenstromanlage auf der schönen Terrasse mit Sitz- und Liegeecke und voller mediterraner Bepflanzung nebst kleinem Koiteich, über eine moderne, voll ausgestattete Küche und großem Wohnzimmer mit Panoramafenstern ging die Führung weiter ins Obergeschoß mit Massageliege, modernem Bad und gemütlichem Schlafzimmer (sehr gutes Bett) mit Blick über Marseille und einer weiteren Terrasse mit Sonnenliege und Hängematte. Wir waren überwältigt von der Atmosphäre, dem wunderbaren Ausblick und der Ausstattung der Wohnung. Alle Elektrogeräte (Herd, Backofen, Fernseher, Hifianlage, Internetzugang,..von gehobener Qualität sowie die gesamte Ausstattung voller Esthetik. Dieser erste Eindruck sollte sich auch während des gesamten Aufenthaltes nicht ändern. Man merkte der Wohnung wirklich an, dass sie vom Vermieter selbst teilzeitlich bewohnt und mit viel Liebe und Können gestaltet wurde. Philippe selbst war für jegliche Fragen und Wünsche immer sofort erreichbar. In dem kleinen, alten Dorfkern von Allauch kann man zu Fuß seine Einkäufe (Bäcker, Metzger, Bioladen, Gemüsehändler, Supermarkt,...) erledigen, die Windmühlen, eine sehr schöne Kirche oder direkt oberhalb des Hauses die alte Burgruine nebst Kirche und der vergoldeten Notre Dame spazierend erkunden. Wunderschöner 360° Blick von dort aus über das bergige Hinterland (auf den Spuren von M. Pagnol) und Küste - traumhaft! Einen großen Dank noch einmal an Philippe - bisher waren wir noch nie ein zweites Mal in einem Ferienhaus - kommen aber bestimmt hierhin zurück!

Simply the best

This is a unique and outstanding property but our stay was made extra special by the attention and entertainment provided by Philippe. As a life long fan of the Rolling Stones, this review is dedicated to him... We arrived somewhat "shattered" after going "around and around" nervously in the "brand new car" the hire company had given us and having just narrowly missed the "black limousine" that was "driving too fast" on such narrow roads – "terrifying!" A little "the worst" for wear, "torn and frayed" we were therefore very "happy" to be greeted so warmly by Philippe at the entrance to his wonderful house. Although we had "no expectations", it became clear as he showed us around that this was a little piece of "heaven" in the very "respectable" hills above Marseille. Philippe took us and our luggage upstairs to the large "luxury" bedroom where we would "sleep tonight" with its wonderful "undercover" terrace and views over the tree "tops" down to the city. "Coming down again" he showed us how everything worked in the kitchen and lounge area from the wifi "connection" to how to "flip the switch" to make the pool lights "come on", nothing was too "complicated". We then went out to the patio and garden, full of exotic "flowers" and "dandelion" seeds wafting gently in the breeze, which offers plenty of privacy so you "can’t be seen" by the "neighbours". Philippe told us he had to go out with his "family" that evening but before leaving did not "hold back" on giving us the "low down" on what we could do and see in surrounding area. "Little by little" we settled into our "summer romance" with the French way of life and I soon felt I knew the village like the "back of my hand". The house really is ideally located as you just go "down the road a piece" to get to all the shops, restaurants and public transport you need, although "you can’t always get what you want". We really did have such "good times" in Allauch and as our week drew to a close it was with an "empty heart" that we had to face "going home". "Congratulation" must be given to Philippe for creating such a wonderful place as, "anyway you look at it", this is one of those rental "rarities" which exceeds your wildest "imagination" but offers great value for "money" – our "biggest mistake" was not booking for longer. Alas it is a "sad day" as "it is all over now" but "it won’t take long" until we plan a return trip. I don’t think this will be "the last time" we visit Paradou.

un havre de paix en Provence

Chez Philippe et Véronique, un petit paradis. La maison, située en haut du vieux village d'Allauch dispose d'une situation idéale: le calme des collines environnantes, la splendeur du paysage dont la vue porte sur Marseille et la Méditerranée. Au milieu d'un petit jardin pittoresque, disposant d'une piscine privée, la maison offre un excellent niveau de confort et d'équipement et une parfaite intimité. Point fort pour nous, la terrasse aménagée à l'étage qui permet de contempler le port de Marseille. Le village est lui aussi pittoresque et invite à la flânerie. De très beaux départs de randonnées juste derrière la maison dans les collines de Pagnol. Un accès facile aux curiosités culturelles que ce soit Marseille, Cassis ou Aix en Provence. Enfin Philippe et Véronique sont des hôtes charmants et disponibles, leur rencontre fait partie du plaisir du séjour. Pour toutes ces raisons nous recommandons cette location tout en espérant qu'elle ne devienne pas trop populaire afin de pouvoir y séjourner à nouveau l'année prochaine. A.S. et J. A Dream Holiday Location Not To Be Missed

Part of me wants to shout from the rooftops how great this place is and part of me wants to hide it and keep it as my guilty pleasure with the guarantee I'll be able to book again with no problem. The first thing that strikes you is the panorama from the top of the hill where the house is situated. There is a stunning contrast between the vegetation, the Mediterranean in the background, the city of Marseille in the distance and the windy roads, beautiful buildings and rooftops nearby. There is an assault on the senses - the light, the warmth of the sunshine, the smell of the lavender and the sound of the cigales. Even before you discover the property, you meet Philippe and Veronique who are the most welcoming and accommodating couple you could wish to meet. Within 20 minutes of discovering the house and knowing how tired we were having driven 8 hours from Italy, Philippe was in my car and came shopping with me to the local hypermarket so that I could sort out catering, wouldn't get lost and could find my way around easily moving forward. That was very much appreciated as were a lot of other moments throughout the holiday. One of the great things is that Philippe and Veronique live across the road when Philippe's house is being rented out so if you have any questions, they are not far away. The house itself is simply stunning. It is immaculately clean, stylishly furnished and well maintained. The kitchen is modern and well equipped as is the bathroom. The garden furniture is of a high standard for lounging or dining in the lush garden, overlooking the pool which is the focal point and truly beautiful day or night. From the garden you can see into the distance but you are not overlooked and the pool and garden are very private. This part of Allauch is a sleepy haven of peace and tranquility. There is a welcome shaded terrace on the first floor with access from the bedroom where you can enjoy spectacular views and wind down in the shade on a sunbed or a hammock. Behind the house is the road to Notre Dame du Chateau which winds up to the summit to afford even better views of Marseille, the Mediterranean and the countryside of Marcel Pagnol. The village is a short walk down from the house with a wide range of amenities. There is also the local church to admire with it's mosaic covered tower and the windmills that sit not far from the main street. We had a great time :Great venue, great people and Marseille was a revelation. We will definitely return.

A gem in Marseille

"We loved it. Beautiful modern accommodation, kept immaculate and clean with a private pool and views all the way to the Mediterranean. Staying in Allauch is fantastic if you want a quiet village like ambience just a stones throw to Marseille. It was so nice to return after a day looking around the city to fall into the pool and relax on the comfortable deck chairs in the evening sun."

"Staying here was a joy from start to finish. The accommodation on two floors is of a high standard, modern yet welcoming, beautifully decorated, tastefully furnished and very well equipped. The pool and two large terraces are great, with high quality outdoor furniture. The photos do not really show just how special this place is. The position overlooking the village, with a distant view of the sea across Marseille, is spectacular. Philippe gave us a great reception, looked after us extremely well during our stay and has an English sense of humour! Excellent value - do not hesitate to book it. Like us, you will not want to leave. The Balinese massage offered by Philippe was wonderful, extremely calming and relaxing. The next day you feel revitalised with renewed energy. It was very fairly priced too for a full 90 minute treatment. "

"The house was excellent ...

"The house was excellent and everything was to a very high specification. We had everything we needed, including a very well equipped kitchen, speakers which we could plug our ipod into and wifi so we could plan our day trips. With the two terraces and the pool you would never need to leave! The view was also spectacular, and the village which the house is in is very charming. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it to anyone."

Une place de parking réservée pour la location, très appréciable, également le fait d''avoir la musique dans chaque pièce de la maison.Très bien équipé et une propreté IRREPROCHABLE!!!! "Nous avons été enchantées par la maison et le par le site. Les propriétaires ont le sens de l'acceuil. Une station de métro (3km) permet d'accéder au Vieux Port en 15 mn, un moyen de découvrir agréablement les plus beaux sites de la ville, ainsi que les iles et les superbes calanques. L'accès aux sites touristiques de la cote Est est rapide (Cassis, La Ciotat, Le Castellet, Sanary...). Les séances de massage sont de grande qualité et bien appréciables après une journée d'excursion. Rien à envier à Bali!! "
