Fantastic location and welcoming host
Christel was waiting to welcome us to the apartment on our arrival. We were very happy with our stay, the apartment is well fitted out and in a great location, close to many attractions and also the Metro (train) system for easy travel to other areas of Paris. We would happily stay there again and recommend to others to do the same.

Superb appartment on the ...
Superb appartment on the Seine. Christel is a prefect host, and was waiting for me when I arrived. Beautiful building foyer greets you, security access via stairs or lift is easy Immaculately clean and modern, comfortable and quiet. All facilities were in perfect order - air con, TV, freebox, excellent hi-speed internet access( ethernet and wifi both worked), coffee machine, iron, washer, dishwasher...makes for a very enjoyable stay. The shopping and dining places nearby (100m) are fabulous; very close to Notre Dame, Le Marais. I've stayed many times in Paris, and this appartment has been the most quiet and relaxing, with all the facilities I could want... Perfect for the solo traveller, or couple. Highly recommended. I'm sure to return:) ------------- Superbe appartement sur ​​la Seine. Christel est un préfet hôte, et m'attendait quand je suis arrivé. Hall d'entrée vous accueille bel immeuble, la sécurité d'accès par escalier ou ascenseur est facile. Impeccablement propre et moderne, confortable et calme. Toutes parfait - l'air conditionné, la télé, freebox, un excellent accès internet grand-vitesse (ethernet et wifi travaillaient tous les deux), café machine, fer à repasser, lavier, lave-vaisselle ... en fait un séjour très agréable. Les lieux de shopping et des restaurants à proximité (100m) sont fabuleux, très proche de Notre Dame, Le Marais. Tout tres prochaine. J'ai séjourné plusieurs fois à Paris, et cet appartement a été le plus calme et reposant, avec tous les équipements que je pouvais veulent ... Parfait pour le voyageur solitaire ou en couple. Fortement recommandé. Je suis sûr de revenir :)

Just Enough.
Even though the space is a bit small, it is just enough for what you need. Since there is so much to see and do in Paris, we really only need this place to be in a good location and have the essential amenities and it delivered. Christel greeted us warmly when we got there even though it was before check in time and she went over everything in the apartment and where it was. The place is beautifully located next to the Siene River and a few blocks away from Notre Dame. We would stay again here in a heartbeat.

Second time is a charm!
We stayed here last year and loved it so much we decided to stay again this year. It is in the best location, close to the trains, restaurants, sightseeing. The apartment is clean, comfortable and very quiet. If we go back to Paris, we would definitely stay here again. Christel met us when we arrived and as always, is delightful and lovely. Thank you again for a wonderful experience!

Wonderful apartment on the Ile St Louis
The studio is Ieal for two people. If you can bring yourself to cook in an area with hundreds of restaurants, the kitchen is fully stocked. There’s a great view of Paris rooftops, too. And the apartment is dead quiet. Hated to leave the place and hope to come back next year.

A perfect little jewel!
We loved our stay in this delightful little jewel apartment! It is small by American standards but has everything you could possibly need. Christel has designed it in a very tasteful and efficient way. The view over the rooftops of Paris was delightful. The building was very nice with a elevator. The apartment was quiet. The bathroom was perfect and the bed was comfortable. Christel was great to work with. We definitely recommend it.

Couldn't have been better
Christel's apartment was as advertised. It was cozy and updated. The view from our flat was incredible with an incredible history of the building itself. I mean really, you are staying on a historic Island in the middle of the Sienne River. The location is great for being a tourist and seeing the attractions. Local restaurants were great and we finished every evening 30 seconds from our front door with a glass of wine sitting on the banks of the River just enjoying the atmosphere. Christel herself was very friendly and co-operative. Very eager to help out and make sure you enjoy your time in Paris and are happy and comfortable with her flat. She was wonderful! I highly recommend her place if you get a chance.

Best location in Paris!
I just spent a week in Paris with my daughter to celebrate her 16th birthday. The apartment is very small (even by European standards), but has everything that you need. The building was very secure with two locked entries even before the apartment. We felt very safe. Christel explained everything about the apartment and was very nice. My only complaint was that she was not great at communicating before our trip. I like to cook, so I used the kitchen a lot. It is fairly well appointed for its size. I did buy a few utensils that it was missing (a serrated bread knife, a spatula), and left them so that others will have them. The coffee maker was wonderful! Loved the generous crema that it created! It was not a Nespresso, but a similar system. There are several grocery stores close by in the St. Paul area. The apartment also had a washing machine that we used several times. Very handy! The couch/bed system worked well and was very comfortable. The bathroom was very cute and had wonderful views over the rooftops, and the shower was lovely. There is not a lot of storage for your luggage or a place to put your clothes, so be prepared to live out of your suitcase 😊. (There is a closet, but it There is a closet, but it has a vacuum and drying rack in it-so not a lot of room.). But the charm and location of this apartment make up for a lot of small inconveniences. Île St. Louis is my favorite location in Paris. The views from the apartment and the sound of the bells ringing from Notre Dame make this a wonderful place to stay. Merci beaucoup for a special week in Paris!

Wonderful Little Apartment in the Middle of Paris
My wife and I just returned from an excellent trip to Paris. Our stay in this studio apartment was perfect. It is a small apartment, but with everything we needed to enjoy our vacation including a washing machine and dishwasher. The apartment is on the Ile Saint Louis, just a few blocks from Notre Dame and the Sully/Morland Metro Station. Ice cream, pastries, restaurants, and all sorts of shops are just around the corner. The building was very quiet and the apartment was cozy. It was so nice to have an apartment to call home for our time in Paris.

We stayed at a lovely studio apartment on Isle de Ste. Louis
We were met at the apartment by our most charming hostess who was busy tidying up and preparing for our stay. We were on the 5th floor but the building has an elevator! The apartment was immaculate and Christel took the time to show us the workings of the coffee maker, dish washer and clothes washer. There is no dryer as the Europeans hang their clothes to dry. This apartment has a Murphy bed but was very comfortable. We kept the bed out at all times and still had room to walk. She provided lovely shower gel, there is a hair dryer and outlets in the kitchen for recharging phones and such. The island itself was absolutely beautiful. We actually spent a lot of our time exploring our island. Notre Dam is a mere crossover on a bridge to Isle de Ste. Cite and Sainte Chappelle is a must visit where the royals actually went for Sunday services. The metro is only two blocks from the apartment and it runs very efficiently. We easily navigated the system to Moulin Rouge, The Louvre, the Eiffel Tower, the Rail to Reims and Versailles. One block from our street there were stores dedicated to exclusive foods. There is a patisserie for pastries (delicious croissants and quiche!), bakery for breads, fromagerie for delicious cheeses, gourmet candies, a wine store and apparently the best ice cream in Paris is located here! Fresh baguettes and cheese were our staple for breakfast! The restaurants were wonderful! While I tried out my 4 years of High School French, pretty much everyone spoke English but we knew they appreciated our attempt at French. We could not have chosen a better place to stay and I would highly recommend this apartment and Isle! Merci Christel et Paris!!!

Fabulous location, wonderful landlady, spotless apartment!
We LOVED staying at this flat. It is a little studio on the 6th floor of an old building, but it has a charming and convenient elevator. The apartment is small, but so well appointed and tastefully decorated. There is a pull-down Murphy bed - very comfortable. The shower/bathroom is modern and spotlessly clean. Christel left tea/coffee etc, as well as plenty of soap, toilet paper etc. There is a washing machine that spins the clothes almost dry and a drying rack. Best of all is the wonderful location on the Ile St. Louie where we had never stayed before. We walked everywhere we wanted to go - to the Luxembourg Gardens, through the Marais, along the Seine. We bought food in the local shops - butcher, baker, groceries and ate twice at the Cafe St. Regis for lunch. We will stay here again and again, I hope.

Charming flat in a wonderful location!
This flat is beautifully appointed. The decor is charming; there were mirrors and outlets enough to satisfy our needs. The decor is charming and wonderfully relaxing for two people who travel well together. The bed is a Murphy bed and the room is small, but it is so well decorated that it seemed larger than it really was! And, oh my, - the location!!! The location of this little apartment is absolutely perfect. If I could give this 10 stars, I would!! I will definitely seek out this flat again when I’m in Paris!!!!

Absolutely perfect!
Location, location, location! Charm in abundance and bliss...so quiet. We have stayed in Paris previously in the 4th but are thrilled to have discovered Christel’s Simply perfect studio apartment. The 5th floor apartment is accessed by the cutest elevator, so no struggling with luggage. Once inside the apartment EVERYTHING we needed was there. The kitchen may be small but it literally had everything, we loved the espresso machine so much we may have over indulged a bit (sorry Christel). The bathroom was very modern, clean and again everything a woman could need was there. Christel herself was a perfect treat, someone we felt comfortable with immediately. She gave a complete run through of the apartment and made checking in and out very simple. We would love to come back to this perfect spot in the heart of Paris. Absolutely would recommend to family and friends (although perhaps we should keep it a secret)!

Great location
This tiny apartment has been tastefully renovated making excellent use of the space. Location excellent, step outside to see the Seine, many restaurants, grocers and shops. Metro and bus within 5-10minute walk. Nice shower with towel warmer/heater. Clean and nicely appointed. Unfortunately poor communication with the owner. Greeter spoke French only. No instructions regarding TV ( did not go to Paris to watch TV but knowing how to operate would have been a plus). Water leak with no water our last morning which effected our departure preparation. Know in an old building and these things can not be predicted. If you good in small quarters and a Murphy Bed (comfortable)..then this place is for you.

A charming, well positioned studio flat which was very clean and quiet! Highly recommended!
Upon arrival we were met by Christel, the owner of this delightful apartment. She showed us the robes and made us feel very welcome! This is a very charming little studio flat with all the amenities required. The Île St Louis is wonderful - a quiet oasis in the heart of busy city! Only a 5 min walk to get your morning croissant and baguette! We felt like true Parisians!!! We will be back again! Thank you Christel for a splendid stay! Perhaps we’ll see you in Bath UK someday?!?

Cozy flat with a fantastic location and wonderful host
I took my sister to Paris for the first time and we stayed at Christel's place on Ile St Louis. Christel received us very warmly on a cold, rainy evening and showed us the ins and outs of a small but beautifully designed, extremely well-equipped and super-clean apartment. It is on the 5th floor but there is a small lift for your luggage. I took it as a challenge (and only way to burn off cake calories) to walk up the stairs each and every time. We walked out of the building that evening to see the Notre Dame in all its eerie nocturnal glory and there were Berthillon ice-cream parlours in every direction we went in. It was a short and easy walk to the Latin Quartier where we went for most evening meals and the whole area felt so safe. We also found the nice Boulangerie - Eric Kayser on Rue Monge and loved their little financiers. Restaurant recommendations in the area would be Restaurant Godjo (Ethiopian) and PemaThang (Tibetian vegetarian). We walked to the Notre Dame (of course), San Chapelle, Louvre museum (along Rue de Rivoli), then onto the Eiffel tower though we took our time and breaks as and when we felt like. If your legs are willing, you can go everywhere. Sacre Coeur/Montemarte is a bit of a trek but if that's all that's on your agenda, you can do it starting from the apartment. Despite the weather which was very English and grim, we enjoyed ourselves thoroughly and would recommend the location and apartment to anyone who is visiting Paris if it is within your budget to do so.

S'wonderful
Great location, access to Latin Quarter, Marais, Louvre, Notre Dame, several Metro stations (direct shot to Gare de l'Est) PLUS the quiet and charm of Ile St Louis. Apartment has beautifully upgraded bathroom, views over the rooftops of Paris a dependable (though petite) lift, drop-dead vistas of the Seine and the back of Notre Dame just outside the front door. In addition, Christel herself went beyond expectations -- when I contacted her to ask for an emergency dental referral, she not only gave me a name but called the office to arrange for a same-day appointment. Merci!! The only downside is that other people also recognize this great apartment, so it's already booked for the time we will next be in Paris.

Love at first sight!
When I sat down to look for a Paris apartment on VRBO, I thought it would take me hours of sifting through options. Christel's place was the third one that popped up and I told my husband that I wanted to book it without further ado. So glad I did. Great location, charming decor, and every possible amenity you could think of -- all fitted into a cozy and welcoming space. Not to mention our charming host whose hospitality included booking us a cab to train station on the day of our departure. My husband would concur, with this one small caveat: If you or your traveling companion are more than 6 feet tall and weigh more than 200 pounds, you might found the shower a little snug. Just know going in that there will not be room for operatic gestures while singing in the shower. (Btw, the water pressure and all the plumbing were some of the best we encountered on our trip -- a miracle of retrofitting considering the age of the building). One last thing: If you are looking for a place to dine on the island, consider L'lilot du Vache (the gravlax may be the best thing I ate on the whole trip, not counting pastries) and Sorza, an Italian restaurant whose arugula salad is the perfect antidote if you have overindulged in the aforementioned pastries!

Beautiful property in Paris
This newly renovated property was close to everything. We walked to Note Dame, Eiffel tower, the Louvre and everywhere else. It had just enough space to settle in comfortably in the evening. Gorgeous rooftop views, and a quaint little courtyard to enjoy my morning coffee. Very safe neighborhood with lots of shopping, bakeries, cafes and wine stores just around the corner. Great Location-Adorable Apartment
My husband and I loved our stay at this gem of an apartment. Though small, it is modern, comfortable and has everything you need for your stay. Surrounded by the Seine, the neighborhood is quiet yet full of places to shop and eat. It is walking distance to Notre Dame and close to two Metro lines. We really enjoyed our stay here and think it is perfect for a single person or couple.

Fantastic flat!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The location is absolutely brilliant. So many shops and wonderful places to eat right at our doorstep. The bed is very comfortable and it was relatively quiet at night for sleeping. The apartment has everything you could need to feel at home...and being greeting by our host upon our arrival was a lovely touch. We would stay here again in an instant and have to hesitations recommending it highly to other travellers.
