Beautiful Location
Loved the location. Home was very dated and was not stocked well. We bought steaks to grill and the LP tanks were empty. Unloaded in the dark because outside motion sensor light wouldn't turn on.

Nice little cottage
The best part of this cottage is the location and included kayaks. I think this cottage is best for 2-4 people. We had six and it was snug even with some being young children. It is a bit dated. That being said, our kids thought the water front and kayaks were awesome!

Beautiful view of lake, small and overpriced
This was a good location for us to explore Quinault and Hoh rainforests, and the beaches and tide pools. Peaceful views from the front porch and yard. The house was tiny and barely accommodated our family of four- glad we were not spending a lot of time in the house. For the price, I did expect a little nicer. We are not in need of everything brand new and shiny, but did expect a coffee maker that Has a basket that fits, screens without holes and control over the temperature.fits

Absolutely gorgeous!
What a gorgeous place to stay!!! The house is clean & comfortable, the location is perfect & serene, the beds are comfy & the property is just gorgeous!!! The only thing I would mention is that the fire pit is shared & located on the next door neighbors property (also owned by this landlord) but since there was a family staying in that house too, it felt weird to use it. But there were so many other things to see & do on the property, that it was a minor upset.

Tranquil Lake Shore Home with Great Views
This is a cozy little home that sits very close to the lake's shore. Enjoying morning coffee on the deck gave us the opportunity to hear loons and see eagles. We had access to kayaks which were easy to launch from the shore onto the tranquil morning water. Seeing the mist rise off the water, unveiling views of the beautiful mountains in the background, would bring peace to the most stressed out easterner.. Sitting by water, the house is understandably a bit musty (but not at all smelly) and the rooms are small. But as we were spending our days exploring the area, the house was perfect in size and comfort. Clean and neat too!

Great property, with caveat
Pros - location!! - view - use of kayaks, picnic tables, etc - nicely stocked kitchen with necessary utensils for cooking Cons - host is a poor communicator (ignored messages from us prior to arrival, including one about an allergy.) - in spite of the large deposit, I had to inquire about and still didn't get for a long time (we left on April 28 and she initiated our deposit refund on May 12) - cheap bedding/pillows (on one bed, anyway, I didn't ask my family about the others) For the price, these cons are a bit surprising.

More like a Cave (unless your outside)
First the good news: the best things are the view, patio, and access to the lake. The unit itself is much smaller than expected; our family of 5 felt jammed when everyone was inside. Really cramped kitchen and bathroom/laundry room, both are poorly laid out. Dark interior. WiFi was so bad it's barely usable. Kayak price is for EACH one used; so overpriced. I'm sad to say it, but we really felt ripped off. If it wasn't for the outdoors, this would be 1-star in our book.

Didn’t Want to Leave
Beautiful place, so peaceful and serene. Sitting outside listening to the birds and jumping fish was wonderful. The house is lovely, clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Had a quick dip in the lake and it wasn’t even that cold. Great location for exploring the park. Truly wish we were staying longer.

My family moved to Lake Quinault for the love of the area in1975. I graduated from Lake Quinault High School, married and raised a family of three daughters who all graduated from Lake Quinault High School as well. Our love for this wonderful place generated from generations of both sides of the family who also lived, schooled and raised families here. With our love for nature, the great outdoors and wildlife, Lake Quinault has fulfilled all our activities, and all our tranquility of our relaxation needs. I am fortunate to be able to share this spectacular vacation area of Lake Quinault and Olympic National Park with people from all over the world and provide comfortable clean accommodations to our visitors. My greatest joy is to continue to share this amazing place with my family and my five grandsons. They all say that life is a dream at Lake Quinault!

Why they chose this property

Cottage Cove is located in the Olympic National Park and a beautiful temperate rainforest with recorded world largest trees, fern beds, dripping moss and worlds largest variety of mushrooms as well as aboundance of wildlife. For such a beautiful place there are a minimum of accomodations for the amount of visitor in this area. I offer four seperate comfortable , clean homes for guests to stay and have a chance to really enjoy our area. It will be unforgetable!

What makes this property unique

Available property to buy on Lake Quinault has always been scarce due to the boundaries of Olympic National Park, US Forest Service and Tribal land. We owned the home next to Cottage Cove and had been renting as a vacation home Since 1996. Over the years our business grew and we had established a successful business. We constantly had requests from our guests asking for additional accommodations, so they can bring more friends and family. When this home, next door to Cottage Peaks came up for sale, the previous owners gave us first option to buy! We were lucky to have the opportunity and very grateful!
The loop drive around Lake Quinault is spectacular! Drive is very scenic and great for wildlife viewing, Mountain and river viewing. The world's largest spruce is located on the grounds of the rain forest resort. Kalaloch and Ruby Beach, just 30 min. Dr North
You will benefit from a central location on the water, be within10 minutes from hiking trails and 30 minutes from ocean beaches. Also, 1 1/2 hr from Forks, WA (twilight series location). Also located in route of the Olympic Penninsula loop drive to Kalaloch and Ruby Beach, Forks, Port Angeles, Squim, Quilcene and Hood Canal.
