Quiet but close to main sites

A nice lace to have dinner at nearby good restaurants right on the water. Quiet for sleeping but easy access via vaporettp to St. Mark's and points north.

Schöne geschmackvolle Wohnung, in der wir uns gleich zuhause gefühlt haben

Schöne, helle, geschmackvoll und persönlich eingerichtete Wohnung, in der wir uns gleich zuhause gefühlt haben Das Highlight ist die großzügige, mediterran begrünte Dachterrasse mit grandiosem Rundumblick über die Giudecca und die Lagune direkt vor der Haustür. Im Sommer gibt es allerdings nur früh morgens und abends etwas natürlichen Schatten. Ein Sonnenschirm wäre schön gewesen, wir haben aber miterlebt, welch starke Kräfte der Wind auf der Terrasse entfacht, was eine Lösung mit einem normalen Sonnenschirm wahrscheinlich schwierig macht. Wirklich vermisst haben wir allerdings zwei einfache Klapp-Liegestühle zum Entspannen. Wir haben sehr schöne Tage auf der Giudecca und natürlich (wie immer) in Venedig verbracht. Uns hat besonders das „normale“ Leben unter den Menschen, die auf der Giudecca leben und arbeiten gefallen, die kurzen Wege, die schönen Häuser und Gärten. Wir würden gern wiederkommen. Danke nochmals an Claudia für den freundlichen Empfang an der Boots-Haltestelle und an Elena, die Besitzerin der Wohnung.

Lovely quiet apartment just a few mins from S Marco

Nice modern apartment with two terraces on the quiet side of Giudecca just a few minutes from fine local restaurants and shops. A great spot from which to explore this year's Biennale.

Our return to Venice

Again a wonderful stay in Elena's very comfortable apartment. Quiet and well situated close to a Co-op, bar, La Palanca, with Andrea in charge. Also close to Vaporetto linking quickly to Accademia. Wonderful place to enjoy Venice!

Schöne Ferienwohnung weitab von den Touristenströmen

Die Wohnung ist sehr gut eingerichtet. Sie fasziniert durch die Helligkeit. Und liegt auf Giudecca .... weit ab von grossem Touristenstrom. Der Stadtteil ist gut durchmischt mit alten und neuen Häusern; das Quartier lebt! Wir fühlten uns sehr wohl!

Almost perfect

I cannot recommend this place strongly enough. First of all, the manager’s adorable son met me at the vaporetto and escorted me to the apartment. It is absolutely lovely! Clean, modern, with views over a canal and the lagoon, and a beautiful deck that overlooks the city. Plus, there were things in the kitchen so I didn’t have to run out to the grocery store immediately. Very considerately left there for the visitor. Also, it turned out that I got Covid while I was there and the manager, very sweetly, went to the pharmacy and bought tests for me. I could not have done it on my own. She was very sweet to do that. The location is great. It is quiet and yet there is life around. I absolutely loved staying there.

Auf Giudecca zu Hause

Wir fühlten uns in Elenas Ferienwohnung von Anfang an sehr wohl. Nach einem Tag im umtriebigen Zentrum Venedigs konnten wir uns wunderbar auf Giudecca zurückziehen. Am Kai gibt es noch einladende Bars und kleine Restaurants, aber auch die Möglichkeit, Obst, Gemüse und Brot einzukaufen. Die Schlüsselübergabe durch Claudia war unkompliziert und freundlich. Wir genossen das stilvoll eingerichtete Apartment, die sehr gute Ausstattung und natürlich die Dachterrasse bei Dämmerung. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Séjour à Venise

L'appartement d'Elena est propre et bien entretenu. Nous avons à disposition tout ce dont on a besoin, que ce soit pour cuisiner ou pour dormir. Bien qu'il ne soit pas sur "l'île" même, il se trouve à 5 min d'un arrêt de vaporetto qui vous emmène près du centre touristique. Elena est une hôte qui est réactive et disponible. Claudia, une amie d'Elena, est même venue nous chercher à l'arrêt du vaporetto pour nous conduire à l'appartement. Notre séjour a été très agréable nous vous le recommandons. Merci encore Elena!

Apartment was stellar, location perfect, communication needs improvement

Staying on Giudecca was THE best. It is a short boat ride away from all the crowds on the main island and we really enjoyed the location. Wonderful restaurant called Majer - ask for Luigi! Great food and perfect service next to the water! Elana’s apartment couldn't have been any better. Clean, well stocked with essentials and the grocery a 5 minute walk away. Our only suggestion for improvement would be for improved communication with the owner Elena, or someone who spoke our language, or at the least, specific instructions about how certain knobs and electrical outlets work, etc available. We turned off an outlet, not knowing that it turned off the refrigerator. We didn’t know that it was off until the next day when the freezer defrosted. We did not have Elena’s phone number, just her email. We eventually figured it out but it would have been very nice to be able to ask someone. The phone number of someone we did have did not speak our language so that was not helpful. A lovely young man met us at the vaporetto (water bus) who spoke very good English. It would have been great to be able to contact him via telephone for questions. These are just suggestions for improvement. Otherwise, it was a wonderful stay. Grazie e Ciao, Diane and Barbara

pure relaxation

Spacious apartment, well-equipped kitchen, comfortable bed and a green roof terrace to chill out. All this on Giudecca, where there are not so many tourists and you can escape the hustle and bustle of the center. Elena is also a great host and we would love to come back!

Tolle Ferienwohnung in ausgezeichneter Lage

Die geräumige und sonnige Wohnung auf Giudecca beinhaltet alles, was das Herz begehrt und ist fußläufig nur 5 Minuten vom Giudecca-Kanal entfernt, an dem man wunderschön sitzen kann und einen Frühstücks-Cappucino einnehmen kann. Wir wurden sehr freundlich von Claudia empfangen, und die Vermieterin Elena zeigte sich entgegenkommend, als wir die Dauer unseres Aufenthaltes aus privaten Gründen verkürzen mussten.

Light, space, calm - a wonderful place to stay

We spent six days on Giudecca and felt welcome from the first moment. It began with the sympatic and well organized communication with Elena, following by the pick up at Palanca, five minutes away from the wonderful appartement For us it couldn‘t have been a better fit. We enjoyed the terrace at breakfast and dinner and felt very well with the personal style of the spacious rooms: Best adress, also for our next visit.

Schöne von privat vermietete Wohnung in ruhiger Lage mit Blick auf die Lagune

Für Venedig-Reisende, die eine ruhige Lage an der Lagune fernab des Touristenrummels schätzen, ideal! Die Vermieterin ist bemüht, die Wohnung hat einen geschmackvollen, privaten Charakter (Kunstbücher im Regal) und ist voll ausgestattet. Die Sehenswürdigkeiten sind mit dem Vaporetto gut zu erreichen. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind um die Ecke. Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt.

Excellent choice

This apartment certainly met my expectations. I prefer the peacefulness of Giudecca. This apartment is in a quiet, scenic square in a pleasant neighbourhood, with a small canal on one side and the lagoon at the end of the building. It is about a 5-10 minute walk from the Palanca Vaporetto stop with one bridge to cross. The plan for meeting Claudia was flawless.. she was was friendly and efficient, guiding me to the apartment and providing explanations. A Co Op store is minutes away and there are numerous bars and restaurants along the Giudecca waterfront as well as in the little square where the apt. Is located. The apartment was clean and spacious with a small terrace off the kitchen and a spacious rooftop terrace. The apartment has an elevator and locked entry for security. There were basic supplies in the cupboard which were appreciated. There is a toaster oven available rather than an actual oven. Communication with the owner, Elena, was promptly answered. I am already planning a return visit.
