A wonderful 2 weeks in Bouniagues
Thank you Bruno for a wonderful 2 week stay. The house, pool and garden were perfect. A lot of fun was had swimming, playing badminton and eating alfresco. We were so grateful aswell for the daily delivery of delicious fresh fruit and vegetables from your parents garden. Bouniagues has fantastic boulangerie only 2 mins walk away and the surrounding area has some very pretty medieval villages - we particularly enjoyed the Sunday market at Issigeac. We look forward to returning one day and will very happily recommend this villa to our friends and family.

Two splendid weeks in Bouniagues
This tastefully restored period property and the amicable support by the owner provided for two splendid weeks for me and my grown-up kids. The close-by artisan bakery adds further plus-points, as do, of course, all the marchés in the surrounding medieval villages. A large, well-kept garden and a nice pool motivate additional pluses.

Gorgeous traditional French house in convenient location
Easy to organise, Bruno met us at the church outside, lovely local wine from Monbazillac, house beyond expectations, lots of nice personal touches. Fresh figs and grapes from the garden, kids loved the pool. Just bring some mosquito repellant!

Lovely gite
Lovely gite, with huge well maintained garden - great for kids. We had a lovely two weeks in Bounaigues. The gite is very well equipped and in a lovely spot close to amenities and lots to do. We did a kayaking trip, visited chateaux brodoire (might have got name a bit wrong), which was brilliant for our kids (aged 7 and 5) and lots of other stuff. So handy having bakery and well stocked shop onnthe door step. Photos don't do the gite justice - it was lovely and would highly recommend.

Perfection in all ways!
We had the best time in this tranquil spot in a really convenient area. Not far from the airport, heaps of wineries and excellent restaurants, not to mention Bergerac itself and the lovely Issigeac. The best bit, though, was simply spending time at the house and exploring the immediate area around it. The pool was sparkling clean, the garden a delight for lazing about in or making the many obstacle courses our son had us do (!). The country lanes were great and quiet for walking and a morning run and the boulangerie is steps away from the front door for delicious fresh bread and pastries each morning. Hosts were charming and their father lives adjacent, being on hand to help out if necessary...delightfully bringing us some fruit from his garden and accepting our shocking French language with patience. Well equipped and a wonderful memory.

Brilliant
We had a lovely one week holiday at this house, with our 2 year old and 4 year old. Great house, everything you could need and more! Location good, a very pretty part of France. Near to a great bakery in the village. The garden if the house is lovely and so is the swimming pool. Bruno the owner very helpful on everything. We had a wonderful holiday here.

Stunning property!
I have just come back from a 2 week holiday with my husband and 2 children, aged 3 and 1. The house is absolutely stunning and the pool area is just gorgeous. The 1st week was very very hot so I was a little worried about keeping the kids out the sun but there is a huge tree to the left of the pool which the kids where happy sitting and playing with there toys in the shade. Even though the pool (which is alarmed) is near the house it has lots of low hedges round it so the kids couldn't get there to fast and acted as a good barrier. The inside of the house is gorgeous with everything that we needed for the children and for us to make it a very comfortable stay. The only thing that I would say is that the TV is very old and makes a buzzing noise, this didn't really bother us but when we were up at 5am in the morning it's nice to watch a bit of news. Also worth noting that there is no WIFI but good 3G. The village is lovely and quiet and has a good stocked local shop and a yummy bakery. We didn't eat in either restaurant in the end as we ate in Bergerac quite a bit so can't comment on them. I would absolutely recommend staying at this property!

A beautiful base for a great family holiday
We spent a relaxing fortnight here and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to everyone we know. The pictures don’t do the setting of the property justice; the garden is large and well maintained and not overlooked, the pool has an alarm and was refreshingly cold on the hottest days, the interior is simple and pretty with lots of space for the 6 of us, and the main bathroom is a delight (big shower). Bruno, the owner was very helpful and when we were delayed by a day arranged for his parents, who live nearby, to give us the keys and show us around. In the village there’s a baker 100 yards away, a small shop, and 2 restaurants… We went to the one at the hotel, and don’t be put off by the look of the place, the food was very good and the service hilarious (in a good way). If you want something more high end the Les Tour Des Vents http://www.tourdesvents.com/ is a Michelin starred restaurant that welcomes children and has a very reasonable and very very good lunch menu. Around the area there are the usual Hypermarkets just outside Bergerac, and the town of Bergerac is very pretty. There are a number of markets in the surrounding towns and the one in the Bastide of Eymet on Thursdays is worth going to. We took a couple of longer trips, the coast is 2 hours away and the beaches around the Pyla Dune are clean and there aren’t the crowds you may expect. If you do go to Pyla, park at the next beach down and walk up to the dune, the carpark at the dune is a nightmare (or at least it was when we went). Rocamadour is 2 hours away in the other direction, but within an hour’s drive there’s loads to do for kids and for adults too. Our party was 2 grandparents, 2 parents, and 2 children aged 4 and 6. If you have the time go to the little port attraction in Bergerac, it’s an odd little delight for the kids. We really do hope to go back again as we don’t think we did everything we could. It’s clean, well-managed, comfortable, all in good repair and it’s delightfully quiet. The only down side is that there’s no bath; a slight problem for a 4 year old who’s scared of showers! Bruno, thank you so much for a lovely stay!
