Property was just as advertised. It was a quiet week just after the Labor Day holiday and we had the place to ourselves. Very peaceful. Great view of the Narrows - we saw otters, swans, herons, you name it. Friendly hosts and walking/biking distance to all the peninsula has to offer.
We wanted a central location that allowed us to easily shoot over to Leland, Northport or Suttons Bay, and then Glen Arbor or Traverse City. This loft was perfect. We had free access to kayaks, SUPs and fishing poles. The market, coffee shop and a few restaurants are in close walking distance. Lake Leelanau is a charming (very small) town in an incredible location. The 2nd story deck at the property is an excellent place to lounge with a drink after a long day of hiking/swimming/boating, watching the boats idle through The Narrows while taking in the breeze and watching the sunset.
Great location… between everything ‘up north’…
Pedaling Beans, Nitolos, and Fiddleheads all within two blocks… wonderful kayaking…beautiful sunsets… hiking and biking trails abound…
Artfully laid out and nicely decorated. Lovely views and we made good use of the easy access to the water right out the front door. Super location for reaching all Leelanau County has to offer. A small standard refrigerator would be helpful rather than the minifridges provided.
Thoughtfully appointed; gracious hosts; relaxing setting with large lawn, fire pit, boating. Nestled in a 'cove' a few blocks to walk everywhere - food, coffee, drinks, post office, church. Would clarify "European kitchen" for longer stays.
The property was described as the listing. The view was spectacular!! Great central location to see many attractions. Hilary was great to work with during the process. Thank you for letting dogs stay! Our pup loved your place!
Very nice upper apartment with good view of the river. Good location for exploring the entire peninsula. Need to increase towels in kitchen and bath.

Liked: Location, listing accuracy
Disliked: Check-in, communication
Excellent location, some drawbacks
Conveniently located between Leland and Suttons Bay. Not a far drive up to Leelanau State park.
Bed is pretty comfortable.
Things of note:
Bring hand soap for the bathroom. None is provided.
Bring boots. There is no path to the stairs so your shoes will get wet if it rained.
Bring blankets. When we arrived, there was only 1 blanket, none for the pull out bed. The owner wasn't reachable for a few hours and there was no alternate contact (it was 8pm and the office was already closed). We were the 1st to use the new split wall units and we spent almost an hour trying to get them to work, including downloading the manual on our phones and programming the time and schedule. There are floor heaters but only in the bedroom and bathroom (we had someone sleeping on the pull out couch in living room). The next day, someone brought us a few blankets and handed us the paper manual for the wall units.
Prepare for noise. There is someone below you and the people below us were screaming a lot after 10pm.
Wonderful location for our first family vacation! Everything we needed/wanted in walking distance and a quite location for our 4 month old to rest. We loved watching the boats pass through the narrow and listening to live music at the winery across the street. We hope to have another vacation here in years to come.
This is a great little place to stay! It is clean and is equipped with everything you need to have a wonderful time. I would definitely stay here again, but next time I need more than 5 days! Great Place Hillary!
A sweet retreat to decompress on Lake Leelanau. We rented the loft in early August and place was exactly as described. Close to lots of “up north” attractions; such as sleeping bear dunes, Sutton’s Bay and Traverse City. We enjoyed kayaking on Lake Leelanau and exploring the area. Great accommodations with good AC and nice new mattress. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit!
Just as advertised. Quaint area and fantastic rental located on the Narrows. The staff at the little marina on the property were friendly and provided great tips on local places to see and eat. The communication with the owner Hilary was easy and he was very responsive. Other than a monsoon rain our last night everything was perfect. We be back
Excellent and Centralized Location for Leelanau Peninsula adventures!
A very nice place to spend your time “up north”. It was great for the two of us but might have been more challenging with two teens in tow. Place is central to everything you want to do in the area. Hilary was quick responding to any of the questions I’d send.
Loved the view of the Narrows from the deck and inside living area….great location for getting around the Leelanau peninsula…close by restaurants and a great coffee place…super fun kayaking…and no charge if you stay there…
Thanks for a great time…
