Completely renovated house situated on the beautiful Beirteach Buí Bay , a lovely cottage to relax in comfort and tranquility overlooking the bay ,access to fishing ( fishing trips can be organised by owner ) Numerous beaches to explore in the area and many routes to stroll or cycle and mountains to climb. Vacation Stay

The house was spacious and a perfect view of the bay. The April weather was perfect to stay at this house. You needed the heat when you got up and the rest of the day was perfect. This location allowed us to travel and see places like the Aran Islands, and shop. I would stay here again.

Lovely home in the country

Our host greeted us upon arrival and did a thorough walk through with us to show us around and how to operate everything. The home heats with wood stoves and a boiler so she helped get everything started and warmed up. The bedrooms suited us perfectly - we had 4 adults and 5 kids age 10-15 and the set up worked great. The home is very private but easy to find.

We had the absolute pleasure of staying at the Glinsk Bay Holiday Rental in Connemara, Galway, and "perfect" doesn't even begin to describe it! The location is stunningly serene, with breathtaking views across the bay and the mountains as a picturesque backdrop. Every morning, we were greeted with the beauty of the landscape right outside the windows, reminding us we were in a truly magical place. The holiday home itself was cozy, charming, and beautifully maintained, with thoughtful touches that made it feel like a home away from home. The house’s traditional Connemara charm paired with all the modern comforts made our stay incredibly comfortable and relaxing. From the warm interior to the lovely garden and surrounding stone walls, every detail added to the experience. The peacefulness of the bay and the surrounding countryside allowed us to disconnect from the usual hustle and bustle, while still having easy access to local amenities and the captivating sights of Connemara. This is truly a hidden gem, and we can't recommend it highly enough. If you're looking for a getaway where you can unwind and soak in Ireland's natural beauty, Glinsk Bay Holiday Rental is the place to be. We can’t wait to come back!

Cozy house in Connemara with stunning views

We stayed in this nice house 6 nights. We were 8 adults and two kids under two years. We felt so welcome and it was like being home. The house is so cozy and well prepared! Especially the kids liked the music toys. The owner had everything beautifully decorated for my mom’s 60 th birthday. Thank you so much! Hope we can come again! Greetings Katharina

Breathe taking views

Photographs do not do the views from this property any justice, they were stunning. We were incredibly lucky with the weather which no doubt helped. The house has everything you might need for a 2 week stay and the kitchen was well equipped. The nearest restaurant was a brisk 15 minute walk which was perfect. Our only issue was that a couple of the mattresses were not as comfortable as we would have liked but it didn't hamper our stay and would not stop me from recommending this house for a family get-a-way for anyone else. The owners made us feel very welcome.

Relaxing Galway/Mayo Holiday

Découverte

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dépaysant et paisible . Très belle vue du gîte . John est toujours disponible et il est très à l écoute de ses hôtes. Nous avons été pêchés les crabes et araignées de mer ! Le gîte était parfait avec tout le confort .

découverte du Connemara

Gite superbement positionné pour une découverte de la région. Situé tout au bord de l’océan, c'est très agréable et avons profité d'une vue superbe toute la durée du séjour. Avons pu nous rendre sans difficulté aux 4 coins du pays et apprécier les différents paysages qui composent cette belle contrée. Je le recommande sans hésitation.

Highly Recommended for families or smaller groups

I had a wonderful stay in this cottage. The cottage has all you need like home from home. It is located just a few metres from the sea with the Connemara mountains in the distance. Its idea for exploring the rugged coast, the mountains, the fjord and lochs. With many walks to enjoy. There is a nearby pub that serves great food. John and Mairead are super hosts.John keeps a distant but watchful eye and would be there to help should the need arise. I would recommend for families or smaller group. I spent a month there and was sad to leave. Thank you John it was a pleasure to have met you and to stay at your wonderful cottage.

A perfect place to stay

The home was just as described and the owners are absolutely delightful and helpful. The location is beautiful with easy access to so many points of interest. I can’t recommend this home enough. Our only complaint was not being able to stay longer.

Super cottage

Un super cottage avec toutes les commodités, un emplacement idéal mais surtout 2 super hôtes qui se rendent disponibles à n'importe quel moment. Un grand merci pour le super sapin ainsi qu'une super table de Noël que les enfants ont apprécié . Nous reviendrons à ce cottage sans aucune hésitation.

Great location

The house is well situated for exploring the area. You've got the mountains of Connemara, the attractive coastline with many beaches, the Aran Islands off the coast reachable by ferry, the city of Galway, and further afield many other places to visit. The hosts are very helpful and provide everything that's needed in the house. All one needs is fine weather which we mostly had. Highly recommended.

So sieht perfekter Urlaub aus. Traumhaus und Lage

Wir verbrachten hier eine wunderbare Zeit vom 07.09.-16.09.2023.Es wurden alle unsere Erwartungen erfüllt und noch übertroffen. Das Haus ist Hell, super ausgestattet und lässt keine wünsche offen. Abgerundet wird das Haus von Vermieter John`s Frau. Liebevoll dekoriert im Innenbereich und mit den vielen Blumen im Außenbereich. Die Vermieter sind sehr, sehr nett, immer bemüht alle wünsche zu erfüllen. Ein absoluter Traum... So sieht ein perfekter Urlaub aus/This is what a perfect vacation looks like.

Bertraugboy Bay Panoramas

The water views overlooking the bay & the12 Bens were stunning as they changed throughout the day--drizzle, wreathed clouds, and rainbows all at once. Overwhelming beauty. Conamara offers so many opportunities for adventuring: hiking, mountain climbing, sight-seeing, and eating (Killary Harbor mussels, & seafood chowders are a must). The 5-bedroom 3-bath house handled our flow of guests perfectly. Our hosts were generous and welcoming to a fault and were there when we needed them. The best 6-week vacation we have ever had over 30 years! The hosts were over-the-top solicitous.

Wohlfühl-Unterkunft

Wunderbare Cottage mit noch netteren, hilfsbereiten Vermietern, schön am Meer gelegen, sehr schön individuell eingerichtet, zu 8 mit 4 Schlafzimmer und 3 Badezimmer, einer großen Essküche und einem gemütlichen Wohnzimmer mit Torfofen und Glasfront zum Meer einfach perfekt für Irlandfans, völlig unkomplizierte Übergabe(„Schlüssel steckt“), sehr sauber und ordentlich! Absolut zum Empfehlen!

Einfach toll

Sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeber. Ein schönes Haus und eine schöne Umgebung. Nur etwas weit zum einkaufen und zu weiteren Sehenswürdigkeiten, aber dafür ruhig. Schöne Umgebung für Motorrad fahren. Was uns aber alle begeistert hat, war die Natur und die Menschen. Wir haben den Urlaub sehr genossen.
