Labor Day Weekend with Friends

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our friends booked a larger house within the Beachwalk community but After Dune Delight was the perfect size for our family of four. The house has so many nice touches like fans in each of the bedrooms, books, games, kitchen accessories. The golf cart was wonderful to have in the community especially since our friends' house and the beach were about 1/2 mi away.

Just Enough

Perfect amount of space for us + 2 kids. Everyone had their own level for sleeping. High ceilings and lots of windows made it feel bigger than it is. Treetop room on third floor was beautiful. Note for younger kids: there are no true shades to darken sunlight in the two upstairs rooms. The park is a bit noisy starting around 8am and then again about 6-8pm, but it was worth it for our 7yo to walk out the door and go play. Kitchen is tiny and could use some upgrades like new cutting boards and plastic cups/dishes for kids. We were traveling with a larger group in another house so made most meals there, which made this kitchen totally livable for breakfasts/lunch. Water pressure in showers was very weak. Golf cart and shed were great. This is our 4th year at Beachwalk and first time staying in a smaller house. I’d recommend to anyone ok with the playground traffic who doesn’t need a ton of space.

Super Labor Day vaca

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Just the size for our group of 6. Very clean. The grill was spotless (which is unusual for rentals-nice!) good location across from park -the kids just ran out to play. On a dead end so not a lot of traffic. There were no instructions on how to work any of the TVs in there were three remotes for each TV which made it confusing. Then come to find out there were no batteries in the remote for the TV in the living room. I called the front desk for help and no one got back to me. There were six of us and they were only six bath towels. I would recommend at least two towels per person just my suggestion. These two complaints did not hamper our stay and I still give it five stars.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family of 5 (3 adults, 3 teens) stayed 4 days and three nights in this unit. It was our 5th year at Beachwalk and 5th home. Out of all the houses we were disappointed with this one. We knew it would be small and further away from the beach. That is why we always pick a unit with a golf cart. The golf cart worked, but we had to charge it after each trip around the property. It almost ran out of power twice on our way back. The kitchen is very narrow only allowing 1-2 people at a time and that is tight. I suggested more cooking skillets and possibly plastic wear with lids. There is dishes and pans, but very random. Another problem we had was the upstairs toilet. It was constantly running and overflowed once. We had to mess with it the whole stay. This was mentioned to the management. They were very concerned and would have sent maintenence over, but it was our last night and we told them to look at it after we were gone.The mattresses were not comfortable and the living room furniture was old and tired. This would be ideal for a family with younger kids since the park is across the street. The unit could use some attention and be refreshed. For our family size and needs we would not pick this unit again. Overall we LOVE Beachwalk and plan to return for years to come.

Perfect for family with small children

They loved being across from the park and the tower room with the "treehouse" views and daybed trundle. We used the grill and the golf cart, and it all worked well. Kitchen was well stocked to cook and even do some fun baking together. House was immaculately clean and well decorated, very cozy. Good house layout for watching movies for the adults after kids go to bed. Quiet evening and morning hours in the neighborhood for a good night's rest for everyone. Highly recommend!

Nice stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a nice location. House is roomy, but very slender. So it’s not as roomy as the pictures look, but there is a lot of space, it’s just divided into three levels. Top level was great for two of our girls with a cute space and a great view and trundle bed. 2nd level is a small room with bed and dresser. Good for one or two. Floor level has a tiny kitchen but well stocked with all you would need. There is a sitting area with tv and a couch. I’d say our only complaint is also a plus. You are directly across from a nice playground. Great for your kiddos, but not so great when people are playing at 10 at night and you hear everything. Golf cart use was so nice. We are a family of five. Great space for our size. Very clean and updated.

Great getaway

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great time at Beachwalk. It was the perfect getaway to relax and enjoy the pool and beach. The property was perfect for 2 couples and 2 kids, though the kitchen is small and beds seemed smaller than queens. There were a few small issues. The master bedroom sink and shower drains were slow, though we recommended to the office this to be looked at upon our departure. The house could've been a bit cleaner as well as under beds and couches were dusty and had crumbs and dining rug was a bit dirty. Overall, the house was nice and we enjoyed being close to the park and having the golf cart to take to the pool and beach. We would've loved to have had a firepit for smores but the chairs and table outside were nice to enjoy the outdoors. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

We were a little surprised with the maintenance of the house. One of the blinds was broken and hanging on window. Drains would not drain in the bathroom and bathtub. We called and the girl was very nice and said they would send someone. If they did, nothing changed. We had to wait quiet a while before it would drain and next person bath or shower. Liked staying in Beachwalk. The pool was nice and clean. Golf carts nice addition. Sweat Pea seemed to need some TLC. We travel often and for the amount of money we paid, this house was not what we expected.

The twin beds are actually one twin with a trundle. Golf cart key didn't work, but we were able to turn it on with a house key. One person in our party has some trouble walking, so the trek from the property over the dunes to the beach was a challenge, but we found easier access in the Beverley Shores area. Most important for prospective renters to know is the property is directly across the street from the playground. Convenient if you are bringing young ones, noisy otherwise. All in all a nice property most suitable for young families.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Sweet Pea was great; well stocked, sparkling clean. The house has 2 bedrooms with space in the loft for another person, which was great for my husband and me, daughter and husband, and grown son. There is a golf cart in their shed; it took us a while to figure out how to use the golf cart, but that was our issue!! There is a weber grill in the backyard, and a full kitchen. Beachwalk has tennis, kayaks, paddle board, swimming pool. The Beachwalk Lake Michigan Beach is beautiful, and we spent a lot of time on the beach. There were lots of small children around, and Sweet Pea is directly across from the playground. We would love to rent here again!
