About this property

Traditional mountain house, tastefully furnished in tranquil hamlet. Garden.

Le Pichet has been lovingly restored to retain as much as possible of its original character. This traditional stone house offers wonderful views towards the Col de la Core and the slopes of Mt. Valier, and being west facing, fabulous sunsets over the mountains. The beautiful garden with its abundant herbs is an idyllic place to relax.
The interior has been tastefully furnished, largely in oak; downstairs consisting of a dining room with woodburning stove; bathroom and well equipped kitchen; a lovely oak staircase leads to the first floor consisting of a light, airy and spacious living roomextra bedroom which is superb particularly in summer, and two charming bedrooms. (reduced price possible for 2-4 pers.)
The area is superb for all outdoor activities - the walks are magnificent, whatever your level. We also offer painting holidays, for Rodney is a well known artist (see website).
A region rich in culture, history and gastronomy awaits, and we will be delighted to welcome you .

Excellent accueil d'Elari, disponible et pleine de bons conseils avec le petit plus de la réception de documentations avant notre séjour. Literie confortable, logement chaleureux et de caractère. Le plaisir d'un plateau apéro qui nous attendait , avec une bonne bouteille à partager. Environnement nature, tranquille, à proximité de départs de randonnées à foison, guidés par toutes les cartes et guides disponibles au logement.Bref, une découverte enchantée de l'Ariège

Perfect mountain retreat
We were looking for a mountain property with views of the mountains in an area of France that we had not previously visited. This is a very clean comfortable little house and it suited us perfectly. Eleri was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable about the area. We enjoyed some wonderful walks in the area and visited some interesting towns. It was an added bonus to have wifi. Nowhere was crowded or heaving with visitors but there was plenty to do and visit. We even tried the new luge at Guzet! We would definitely go back.

Atmosphere, warmth, tranquility, beauty
The warmest of welcomes, most charming of cottages,and most beautiful surroundings! The only “problem” is the leaving, one would want to stay on indefinitely. Thanks Eleri, Rodney and William for all your care, help and hospitality, hope to be back soon.

Un beau et gîtes rustiques
Nous avons eu un accueil chaleureux et les voisins et les populations locales ont également été très accueillants. Le gîte est rustique, chaleureux et confortable, et le ski-ing est fantastique. Henry et Louis ont eu la meilleure initiation au ski que nous aurions pu souhaiter. Nous sommes tous très tristes de partir

Un havre de paix
Nous avons passé trois semaines dans cette charmante maison. Le cadre est magnifique, la vue est splendide. Nous avons aimé dans cette location le matériel de cuisine complet, la bibliothèque bien fournie, la terrasse propice aux apéritifs amicaux, le calme ambiant. Cette maison est situé dans une région riches en belles randonnées, riche en bons restaurants. L'accueil des hôtes est parfait. Présents quand on a besoin de conseils, de matériel, discrets ou invisibles le reste du temps. En résumé, un trés bon choix isolé dans un petit hameau accueillant

Un petit nid perdu dans la nature
La petite route n'en finit pas de dérouler ses lacets et on se demande où on va bien pouvoir arriver : mais le résultat est à la hauteur ! Tout d'abord l'accueil chaleureux d'Eleri qui m'a maternée toute la semaine avec beaucoup de délicatesse (j'étais venue seule pour une semaine de balades à cheval et pédestre), et puis le charme du lieu, la tranquilité, la vue sur les montagnes : on se sent bien, définitivement !

Nous avons passé une semaine agréable dans cette maison. Les propriétaires sont très attentionnés. Les randonnées en moyenne montagne sont superbes. La maison est simple, mitoyenne. A savoir 3 km de route de montagne pour y arriver.
