The Masseria is the combination of four independent but communicating lodgings, the Loft Nocellara is central, this is joined by the Biancolilla apartment and the Moresca and Zaituna rooms. This makes it possible to have a single 140m2 home with four double beds, four bathrooms, two kitchenettes, two living rooms and two dining areas, four TVs. The living rooms have a further 3 sofa beds, 2 of which are 1 and a half square for a maximum capacity of 12 beds. calme absolu et excellent accueil

La location était d'un calme absolu, seuls des ouvriers viennent travailler sur la propriété, en restant discrets. Elle est isolée au bout d'un improbable chemin de 800m au milieu des oliviers. Très spacieuse, avec tout le confort et le nécessaire, climatisation inclue mais de gros murs isolent bien également. Quelques animaux autour, ambiance champêtre (chiens gentils et peureux, chat, cheval, poules ..). L 'accueil de Giovanni était parfait, toujours à notre service pour donner des renseignements et conseils, dans un anglais impeccable. Nous avons même eu droit à une bouteille d'huile de sa production et des oeufs frais. La localisation est très pratique pour visiter l'Etna, Syracuse, notto. Merci Giovanni nous avons passé de merveilleuses vacances

Agréable séjour au calme et à la campagne;

Belle maison spacieuse et confortable, très bien équipée. Les propriétaires sont sympathiques et le chat très affectueux ;). Calme assuré: aucun voisinage, seulement un de temps en temps un ouvrier agricole très discret et la maman de Giovanni qui s'occupe du potager et fleurs. merci encore pour les oeufs frais et légumes. Petite suggestion : la clim du salon aurait besoin d'un petit entretien.

Perdu dans la campagne, mais sympa !

Maison agréable qui dispose des produits de 1ère nécessité. Heureusement, car elle est vraiment perdue dans les champs d'oliviers, au bout d'un chemin d'accès improbable... Accueil sympa des propriétaires, beau site.

Ruhiges Landhaus in stimmungsvollem Olivenhain. Sehr sympathische Gastgeber. Erholsamer Urlaub.

Giovanni ist ein sehr freundlicher und hilfsbereiter Gastgeber. Seine Englischkenntnisse sind sehr gut, sodass wir sehr interessante Informationen über die Umgebung und die Geschichte des Landgutes erfahren haben. Das Haus ist voller Erinnerungen und wir haben es sehr genossen, in einem sehr stimmungsvollen typisch italienischen „Zuhause“ gewohnt zu haben. Für uns war es eine gute Gelegenheit, Sizilien nicht nur aus dem touristischen Blickwinkel zu betrachten, sondern ein wunderbares Erlebnis, Italien von einer sehr persönlichen Seite kennenzulernen. Dafür ein großes Dankeschön an Giovanni. Wenn wir wieder einen Urlaub auf Sizilien verbringen werden, dann sicherlich auch in diesem gastfreundlichen Haus.

Heerlijk

Wij zijn van 28 aug tot 11 sept 2017 hier geweest en hebben het hier heerlijk gehad . Bij aankomst stond onze gastheer Giovanni al buiten om ons te verwelkomen en het huis met enorme tuin rond te leiden , Het huis heeft vele zitjes zodat je als het erg warm is uit de zon kan zitten .Hij heeft ons ook vele plaatsjes en strandjes aangereikt waar we zeker gebruik van hebben gemaakt .Wij vonden de plek voor ons te afgelegen ,hoewel de de omgeving en opkomende zon prachtig is ,een auto moet je dan ook zeker hebben .Als je naar dit deel van Sicilië gaat moet je zeker Noto, Modica, Catania,Siracusa,Toarmina en natuurlijk de Etna bezoeken .Wat wij erg fijn vonden was omdat onze vlucht in de avond was wij in het huis konden blijven tot het tijd was om te vetrekken. Als je van rust,ruimte ,geen massa toerisme en lekker tussen de sicilianen wil vertoeven , moet je het zeker doen !

Casa rural

Giovanni ha sido un anfitrion muy amable y atento. La casa correcta y bien ubicada para conocer la parte oriental de Sicilia. La única pega -aunque por lo visto es común en Sicilia- es que para depositar la basura tienes que llevarla en el coche a unos seis kilómetros, a la entrada de Melilli, donde encontrarás los contenedores de basura más cercanos. El camino de acceso, desde la carretera, es algo complicado para coches con poca altura en los bajos.

lovely house in the country

We had a great stay at this lovely country house which is set in beautiful countryside. The garden and patio area are great for dining outside. The host wa very helpful with ideas of places to visit and there was a store cupboard of essentials we could use which was really handy. We visited many lovely places in the local area and enjoyed the local speciality pizoli (not sure on spelling) a kind of double pizza yum.

A calm and relaxing stay

We spent a nice week at Giovanni's wonderful house that is situated between olive groves and almond trees. It is a very remote location, so perfect for anyone who wants to be undisturbed and in nature. The magnificent garden and olive trees field are a perfect path for long walks in the quiet, and you can discover on precious little fossiles on stones that are left from ancient times. It was wonderful to have the breakfast in the morning on the terrace and to use the open fireplace in the evenings. We spent our week there in February so the open fireplace gives the house a nice warmth. If you are a friend of animals this is your place, the cats are adorable and you have regular visits of horses in the garden, company of dogs, etc. Its location is very convenient, because you can reach the highway taking you to Syracuse and Catania very easily. For any problems Giovanni and his family are very careful and present. The olive oil produced by Giovanni is excellent, and the house is already filled with food in case you arrive late and need to rest before the first shopping time. The beds are comfortable, and plenty of blankets, pillows, towels are provided. A car is absolutely necessary if you want to enjoy all the hiking possibilities in the surroundings and visit especially the South-East of Sicily. We can highly recommend this place if you want to discover South-East Sicily.

Toller Aufenthalt!

Wir hatten eine wirkliche tolle Woche und haben alles so vorgefunden wir abgebildet, bzw es war sogar noch größer als wir dachten! Das Grundstück ist sehr groß, man ist sehr für sich und kann die Natur genießen! So ein freundlicher und bemühter Vermieter wie Giovanni ist uns bisher noch nicht begegnet, alleFragen und wünsche konnten wir an ihn richten und er ist so bemüht gewesen, das es einem schon unangenehm war! Ganz ganz großes Lob! Wir haben uns auch wegen ihm sehr wohl gefühlt und würden es jeder Zeit weiter empfehlen!

magnifique

Nous avons passé un magnifique séjour dans l'oliveraie de Giovanni. La maison est calme, isolée et tranquille entourée de terrasses ombragées dont on profite selon la température. Vue sur l'Etna (nous avons eu la chance d'admirer un soir une éruption) ou sur le port industriel à plusieurs km et caché par la végétation (oliviers et caroubiers). Les enfants ont apprécié l'espace extérieur (zone d'herbe) et les animaux. Jack est parti vivre de nouvelles aventures durant notre séjour mais le chat Micione et son timide camarade ont bien profité de notre présence. Le riche passé culturel et humain est présent partout sur cette côte sicilienne... Nous avons adoré la nécropole de PANTALICA à qq km de la propriété. Giovanni est charmant et aime discuter (en anglais) et conseiller ses lieux préférés ... ainsi que les granite pistache/amande! Nous commanderons peut être de l'huile d'olive dense et parfumée lors de la récolte d'octobre!

le calm de la campagne

Des propriétaires sympas, y compris jack (le chien) et les chats et chevaux un cadre très agréable dans une location conforme à la description avec un internet qui a bien marché. Parfait pour 4 adultes et un ou deux enfants,un véhicule est indispensable Nous y retournerons avec plaisir et l'huile d'olive produite par la famille est excellente, n'hésitez pas à repartir avec quelques bouteilles.

Idéal pour découvrir le sud-est de la Sicile

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour à Melilli, la ferme (depuis 5 générations) est accessible par un chemin privé (ne louez pas une voiture de sport!) d'environ 800m, bordé de murets, d'oliviers et de caroubiers,vous arrivez à la maison qui correspond à la description du propriétaire, d'un jardin, avec terrasse côté mer, belle vue sur la baie d'Augusta , dînez le soir sur la terrasse avec "les guirlandes d'Augusta "et le matin prenez votre petit-déjeuner derrière la maison avec vue sur les falaises (lumière magnifique le matin) et sur l'Etna ! Vous aurez la compagnie de 2 Chats et peut-être d'un chien très gentil qui a trouvé refuge à la ferme pendant notre séjour! A ne pas oublié les juments et leurs poulains !! N'hésitez pas à suivre les conseils de visites de Giovanni, surtout les sites à proximité comme Pantalica, Valle dell'Anapo, Megara Hyblea et la marina de Melilli (plage très propre, l'eau très clair). Ne vous laissez pas trop perturbé par la vue du site de pétrochimie d'Augusta ! Nous avons vraiment pu faire de très belles balades, certes fin juin et début juillet pas idéal pour la botanique mais la baignade dans l'Anapo+la cascade est magique! Le propriétaire parle très bien anglais et est à votre écoute, bien sur, si vous parlez italien, toujours mieux pour apprendre plus sur le lieu !! Pour le ravitaillement alimentaire : facile, un supermarché à Melilli, 10 min ou le centre commercial Auchan proche de la marina de Melilli et Belvedere, 15 min ! Pour la fin, arrivez en Sicile avec une bonne carte routière, vraiment utile, croyez moi ! Bonne vacances !

A wonderful experience

Our week at Giovanni's wonderful house among the olive groves and almond trees far away from the noise of the cities was a great pleasure for all of us. It was fun for the kids with all the animals around … and the hammock on the terrace. And for nature lovers it is the perfect place to be. Its location is very convenient, because you can reach the highway taking you to Syracuse and Catania very easily within 10 minutes' drive. Supermarkets are at about 10 minutes as well. But a car is absolutely necessary if you want to enjoy all the hiking possibilities in the surroundings and visit especially the South-East of Sicily. There is so much to see and there is no public transportation nearby. The house is well equipped and it was a delight to have each meal outside with the most beautiful view on the Hyblaean Mountains. The photos on the website give an idea of what to expect, but reality is much better! Giovanni and his family welcomed us warmly and made our stay very comfortable. We would like to come back. We will recommend this house to our friends and relatives.

Si vous recherchez un pet...

Si vous recherchez un petit coin de paradis au milieu des oliviers et des amandiers, vous serez ravis de profiter d'un tel bonheur dans cette location... Giovanni, son charmant priopriétaire, ne sait que faire pour faire de votre séjour en Sicile un souvenir inoubliable. Nous avons vraiment passé de formidables vacances à Melilli, en compagnie des chats, chevaux, coq et poules, pour le plus grand bonheur de nos 2 filles !

Wir haben wirklich alles ...

Wir haben wirklich alles so vorgefunden, wie es beschrieben und auf den Fotos zu sehen ist. Das Wasser stammt aus den grundstückseigenen Quellen. Die Küchenausstattung ist ausgesprochen reichlich und das Kochen macht mit dem automatischen Gasherd wirklich Spaß. Auch die Position des Hauses stimmt mit Google Earth exakt überein. Wir haben einen schönen und erholsamen Urlaub inmitten von Oliven- und Mandelbäumen verbracht. Das mit EU-Biosiegel zertifizierte und dort vor Ort produzierte Olivenöl sucht mit seinem aromatischen Geruch und mildem Geschmack seinesgleichen. Auf Grund der sehr stabilen Schutzgitter und der Videoüberwachung der Zuwege fühlt man sich auch in dieser Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit sicher und geborgen. Wer die Umgebung und die Naturparks für Sparziergänge oder Wanderungen nutzen will, sollte unbedingt festes Schuhwerk mitbringen: es lohnt sich! - die Landschaft ist wunderschön und ursprünglich. Man braucht unbedingt ein Auto. Es gibt einfach zu viele interessante Ausflugsziele im Osten von Sizilien zwischen Taormina und Donnafugata. Die Versorgung klappt mit Hilfe des großen Supermarktes zwischen Melilli und Priolo Gargallo bestens. Die drei Wochen, die wir dort verbracht haben, waren eigentlich viel zu kurz.

"Séjour enchanteur! Propriété super bien placée au milieu d'une immense oliveraie avec vue lointaine sur un port. Tranquillité absolue, gîte très confortable et convivial. Terrasses tout autour de la maison. Propriétaire très sympathique et chaleureux. Tout fut parfait. On a eu du mal à quitter ce lieu en plus très bien placé pour les visites des sites tels que Syracuse, Raguse, l'Etna....A recommander vivement. Nous aimerions revenir."

"This accomodation is a real vintage Sicilian house located in an olive farm. The environment is fabulous for all the nature lovers, with the possibility to wander freely accross the huge property. From the "azienda" the sea and the Etna are visible. Since the house is isolated, a car is absolutely necessary. A sand beach is available at 20 minutes drive. Supermarkets and the the highway Catania-Syracusa are at 10 minutes drive. You''ll be welcome and well advise on the best places to visit by your very sympatic guests."

The cheateu is a traditional sicilian farmhouse restored in 2014. It is inside our 85 hectares estate. Silence, quiteness, slow flow of time, nature, peace, away from the chaos of the city but also well positioned and close enought to the highway to easily reach every town.
