Very comfortable stone house thoroughly renovated in 2008 - large terrace overlooking Plakias Bay, flowered patio – located just outside Mariou quiet village - very good tavernas and restaurants at reasonable prices in Mariou village as well as in villages nearby and in Plakias on the seaside - great sandy beaches nearby with crystal waters - authentic region, great for hiking and swimming .

You can bring an animal but do ask us autorization prior réservation please. Ok with for example 1 small animal, well educated.
New in 2020 : Air conditioned in the 3 bedrooms.

Highly recommend

Comfortable, spacious, well equipped with views to die for from the front terrace. Very responsive owner to two minor maintenance issues - reported one day, fixed the next.

Eine sehr schöne Unterkunft. Alles was man für einen schönen Urlaub braucht ist vorhanden. Sehr großzügige Ausstattung und viele kleine schöne Rückzugsmöglichkeiten. Ideal als Familie oder kleine Gruppe.

Sehr schönes, sehr gut ausgestattetes Haus

Ein sehr schönes, extrem gut ausgestattetes Haus, etwa fünf Autominuten von Plakias im kleinen, nicht übermäßig charmanten Bergort Mariou gelegen. Ein gemütliches Wohnzimmer, eine saubere und bestens ausgestatte Küche, drei angenehme Schlafzimmer und zwei großzügige Badezimmer. Ein guter Ausgangspunkt, um den Süden Kretas zu erkunden, oder um einfach nur auf der Terrasse zu sitzen und Kaffee zu trinken. der Blick über die nicht stark befahrene Straße hinweg geht auf die Nachbarbucht von Plakias.

Sehr schönes Haus

Das Haus ist im Großen und Ganzen so wie beschrieben. Die Terasse mit dem herrlichen Ausblick hat uns mit am besten gefallen. Sehr saubere Zimmer. Es ist alles da, was man braucht und darüber hinaus. Was man wissen sollte , ein Zimmer mit einem Doppelbett ist ein Durchgangszimmer. Das habe ich vorher nicht gelesen. Man kann dieses allerdings auch über einen kleinen Innenhof umgehen. Die Gegend ist wunderbar. Der Strand in Plakias, 3 km entfernt, hat uns sehr gut gefallen .( Sandstrand) Die Taverne im Ort fanden wir auch toll. Wir können dieses Haus weiter empfehlen.

un aprés covid ,attendu, incertain mais reparateur

malgré les difficultés dues au covid et a l annulation de nos vols , nous avons trouvé en la personne du propriétaire une écoute, une facilité d arrangement et de compréhension de sa part tout a fait extraordinaire et nous l en remercions vivement. La maison trés sympa et super bien equipée, bien placée...on est loin de la crete et de ses hotels a touristes, le partage avec les locaux est exeptionnel, les tavernes toujours autant appréciées . Bref des instants magiques nous faisant oublier la dure réalité du monde dans lequel nous vivons. Encore merci Mr le propriétaire, et qui sait, peut etre un jour aurons nous l occasion de reaprecier la magie de ces lieux.

Urlaub in Mariou Villa Plakias

Nachbarhäuser stehen sehr nahe. Abstand zu den Häusern links 2m. Nachts läuft eine Klimanalage/Generator. Gestörte Nachtruhe im linken Schlafzimmer. Sehr windig, fast ausnahmslos, bis auf 2 Tage. Manchmal Orkan. Schöne Geschirrausstattung, saubere Bäder und Betten. Sehr stilvolle Einrichtung der Räume. Fantastischer Blick nach Süden auf die Buchten und das Meer. Schön die Retro-Liegestühle auf der Terrasse.

Week in Mariou in August

Lovely quiet house on hill at edge of village. There was a problem with our midnight check in as the host had given the caretaker the wrong dates and we were not expected. Luckily there was no-one else staying, so we were able to stay after a short delay. We enjoyed the area and local taverna. The house was spacious and they terrace was nice - although it was very windy. We had to buy washing powder, toilet roll etc which was annoying, but otherwise all was fine.

Super !

Maison bien équipée , terrasse très agréable avec vue sur le golf de Plakias ! Accueil chaleureux par la voisine charmante ! (dommage qu"il y ait la barrière de la langue) Juste Un petit bémol sur les ventilateurs plafonniers (surtout dans notre chambre) totalement inefficaces ! Et dormir les fenêtres ouvertes est impossible vue la quantité de moustiques! (Moustiquaire cassée) ce, malgré de fortes chaleurs À part ce petit désagrément super séjour Maison idéalement bien située pour visiter le sud ouest de la Crete et correspondant très bien au descriptif de l'annonce. Encore merci à la petite voisine pour sa gentillesse et son magnifique sourire 😊

Der dritte Aufenthalt in diesem Objekt

Leider war dieses Jahr unser Aufenthalt in dem Haus dadurch getrübt, dass die nächtliche Ruhe durch eine sehr laute Klimaanlage am unmittelbar dahinter liegendem Nachbarhaus massiv gestört war. Die wohl kürzlich partiell vorgenommenen Malerarbeiten hatten hatten drinnen und draußen dicke Farbkleckse hinterlassen, was besonders auf den Natursteinplatten sehr betrüblich ist. Wie immer war die das Haus betreuende Nachbarsfrau sehr herzlich und immer ansprechbar.

Wunderbare Lage

Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet, die Küche hat alles, was man braucht, und die Betten sind bequem. Gegen die lästigen Sandmücken gibt es Gazefenster und recht effektive UV-Fallen . Von der Terasse hat man einen sehr schönen Blick aufs Meer. Allerdings ist das Terassendach nicht dicht, sodass sowohl Sonnenstrahlen als auch Regen durchkommen. Das versprochene Wlan gibt es nicht.

Das Haus und seine Terassen sind wirklich wunderschön. Die Aussicht ist hervorragend!

Wir haben uns in dem Haus pudelwohl gefühlt. Die Aussicht auf das Meer ist genial. Die 3 Terrassen wunderschön. Das Haus war sehr sauber, die ältere Dame- welche das Haus verwaltet- ist sehr lieb und war immer erreichbar. Leider funktionierte das Wifi nicht, aber ohne Internet ging es auch. Gerne würden wir nochmal kommen.

tolles Haus mit Meerblick,great house with seaview

Herrliche Terrasse mit toller Aussicht, schönen Blumen und Schatten. Gut ausgestattete Küche, gepflegte Bäder, bequeme Betten. Der Vermieter war sehr zuverlässig und immer ansprechbar. Die Nachbarn, die sich um das Haus kümmern, waren umwerfend freundlich. Ich würde das Haus unbedingt weiterempfehlen. Wonderful terrace with fantastic view, beautiful flowers and shadow. Well equipped kitchen, modern bathrooms, comfortable beds. The owner was very reliable and always easy to contact. The neighbours who car for the house are overwehelmingly friendly. I would recommend this house to my friends.

Maison bien équipée sauf literie très dure et inconfortable. Plusieurs bâtiments en construction ou en rénovation au ras de la maison. Avons dû écourter notre séjour à cause des nuisances dues aux travaux (percements, bétonnière et autres...) toute la journée depuis 8 h du matin....

vraiment agréable

"maison grande, agréable et très propre (2 sdb, 3 vraies chambres). Très bien équipée à l''exception d''un petit parasol, qui nous aurait dépanné (mais c''est pour trouver quelque chose). La vue est superbe mais une maison est en train de se construire juste en dessous et les ouvriers profitent des heures fraiches du petit matin actuellement... Cela ne durera qu''un temps."

"La maison était tout a fait conforme (et plus...) au descriptif et aux photos. l’accueil très chaleureux. L’équipement de la cuisine, le linge de maison très satisfaisant. L''environnement est calme et agréable et la vue sur la baie de plakias est magnifique. La plage a 2 km environ est conviviale dans un cadre relaxant."

"We enjoyed our stay in this beautifully situated house. The village is very quiet, the view from the spacious terrace is wonderful and the house is very comfortable. No exceptional luxury but very convenient for people looking for a comfortable house to spend their holiday in. Shops are nearby as is the beach and the beautiful countryside of Southern Crete is asking to be explored from here."

"Jolie maison, avec vue panoramique sur mer. Très bien équipée et soignée. Prévoir voiture. Magnifique plage de sable de Damnoni à 2 km. Toutes commodités dans la petite station balnéaire de Plakias, avec même une excellente boulangerie, à l''entrée de Plakias. A ne pas louper sur place, dans le hameau de Mariou, l''unique mais excellente taverne : chez Mariou. Pour des vacances au calme, loin des grands complexes hôteliers."
