About this property

Ocean Pointe Suites is a secluded resort overlooking the Atlantic. A great getaway for families or couples. You relax in a gated community located on 67 acres on the Southern tip of Key Largo, in the quiet town of Tavernier. Our property is managed by Tony and Ana. ***Must sign rental Agreement & provide copy of photo ID***

THE PROPERTY: There is a Junior Olympic size swimming pool w/hot tub and two lighted tennis courts. Bar-b-que (charcoal) grills are located through-out the property. Boat owners, give us a call! On-site marina and with moorage. The marina also has a full bar and a lunch/dinner snack bar and a shaded lounge area (currently closed). Pull up a chair and enjoy the beach or snorkel right here or at nearby John Pennecamp Marine Park. Kayaks are available at the marina for hourly rental. Come enjoy this beautiful paradise, close to everything you need, yet away from it all!

We have previously only rented to close friends and family. Our condo is in excellent condition! We have a fully furnished 2 bedroom 2 bath condo. The master bedroom has a king bed and Flat screen TV, second bedroom has a queen size bed. The living room has a flat screen TV and DVD player and a full size sofa bed. Kitchen newly renovated and is fully equipped with pots, pans, dishes, coffee pot, blender, and more. All linens are included.

We are in an end suite in Building 1 close to the pool and marina!
You will love the beautiful views and tropical landscaping which surrounds you at your own relaxing getaway at Ocean Pointe!

Great property and grounds!

This was a great place to stay to explore the Florida Keys and nearby Everglades and Biscayne National Parks. We loved having access to the small beach and big pool area. It was also nice to have the marina. Well kept grounds and appreciated the grills to use. We felt safe here and appreciated the gates/guardhouse. The condo was great and cutely decorated and clean. Was even better than the photos. Wish the balcony was bigger but not a huge deal as there were plenty of outdoor spaces to spend time at around the property. The sliding screen door was broken when we got there. It would have been nice to be able to use that. Would be awesome if there were a few travel coffee mugs in the place and a bag of charcoal annd lighter fluid for the grill. Overall this was a great place and we would definitely stay here again! We had a great trip in the Keys.

Awesome place to stay

The property was great, and centrally located. It's a bit further north so the drive to Key West was longer than we expected, but still not bad. There are so many great restaurants and activities very close to the property and it's far enough off the main roads that it's peaceful. We used the pool and hot tub a lot and it was really nice. We were always able to find chairs at the pool and having the concession stand right on site was nice. Our unit was clean, well maintained, and we enjoyed the space and the kitchen. We only went to happy hour one time but it was nice to have that option on-site as well. Great place to stay.

Poor bathroom fan’s circulation

The smaller of the bathrooms tub faucet was broken over ordered parts never cam in we where there two months The entire condo smelled damp The master bath fan did not function well the shower curtain had mold on it we cleaned but could not get clean we went out and purchased a small fan and placed in bathroom let it run 24 hrs a day it helped the a/c worked well but was so loud I think needs new fan Shawn

Great Get Away

Very clean and nice. We were able to use this as our central location to explore further into the keys and also the Miami beaches. The pool and hot tub was nice. Would stay here again

Paradise!

We enjoyed our stay very much! The condo is beautiful, clean, well maintained and nicely updated. Laundry in the unit was a huge plus! The bed in the master bedroom is amazingly comfortable! The grounds are awesome. Very short walk to the beach and marina. Even shorter walk to the pool, playground/swings and pickle ball/tennis courts. I was worried about the pool being crowded since it was spring break, but it was not. We were always able to find a spot to put our belongings. The pictures in the listing do not do this place justice - it's very, very nice! We would definitely return and stay again.

Very Disappointed

The condo and the property were not as they were described in VRBO website and by the comments from the owner. No restaurant and bar on the property and it had closed in June 2023 enough time for us to be notified. No water view and the marina was not close to the condo. The balcony was small and most of the other balconies were the same size and had two small chairs. Ours had one chair, hard to have a glass of wine with my husband and see the sunset. A chair or a bench in the main bedroom would have been nice and there were no dish towels. Also a grab bar in the second bathroom would have been a great safety feature. The whole experience causes us to not rent through VRBO in the future.

Ocean Pointe Condo

Clean and nice community

The condo unit was clean and beautiful. Beach was ok, seaweed can’t be helped. The restaurant on site was disappointing, only open for lunch and every day was a different start time.

Repeat stay

Stayed here 3 years ago. Liked it so much, we came back. The condo is clean, spacious and comfortable. As an end unit, you get all the end unit windows which allows you to enjoy the ocean breeze. The property is quiet. The pool was always warm with enough space no matter when you went. It’s the Keys so you have to drive everywhere, but there’s everything you need all within a 5 - 15 minute drive.

Wonderful Property, Great Location

This is our second time to Ocean Pointe, staying in two different units. We absolutely love the property, all it has to offer and how beautifully maintained it is. We have come with our 9 yo son both times and the condos are great for families. We love having a nice place to hang our hat with full kitchen and washer/dryer. This unit is so nicely decorated and well-maintained. We stayed for 6 nights. They had both a keurig and regular coffee maker but we love the convenience of the k cups. Great dishwasher and ice maker in the fridge. There were a couple portable chairs, plenty of beach/pool towels and a styrofoam cooler. We fly into Miami, order grocery pick up at Walmart in Florida City and then drive down. On property the marina is fun to fish at and the pool area with hot tub is big and fun. There is a small bar there at the pool and near the marina. Things to note, but not complaints: 1. This unit is in building one, nearest the entrance, furthest from the pool and beach. No problem for us, as we love to walk the property, everything is close by. The landscaping is amazing. 2. This unit has 1 balcony overlooking vegetation, no water view. No problem for us, but understand that not all units have a water view. 3. The living room TV did not work (apart from Amazon Prime) for us. We happened to be staying during the masters so my hubby was hoping to tune in, but NBD. If cable is important - talk to owners before hand, it seemed to be connected for it, but not turned on. 4. Depending on preference or consumption you may need to bring extra TP, paper towels, soaps/shampoos and for sure laundry detergent. We packed some pods in a zip lock. 5. Also, I am a very light sleeper and during windy nights the windows and shutters etc were loud in the master. Again, not a complaint, but I needed to wear my noose cancelling buds. Great place to stay, beautifully decorated and finished with everything you need. It’s on the 3rd level.

A couple minor issues but a great place to stay

We had a couple small issues. The living room TV cable didn't work despite attempts by the owner to reset remotely. The unit was short on washcloths, paper towel, toilet paper and trash liners which we had to purchase once there but not a major issue. The biggest drawback was the water pressure which may have limited the dishwasher ability because some of the dishes had an odor after running which could have been due to low rinsing pressure. The disposal also made a lot of noise which could be one of the choppers coming loose. Very nice finishes and furniture made our stay comfortable and fun!
