This is the second time we have stayed as it is a delightful home with gorgeous views and easy access to walk to Waterville and the Kerry Way. This home is in such a peaceful and tranquil location, it provided us with a wonderfully restorative holiday. The owner is very welcoming and responsive. We look forward to returning again to this lovely home!
Wonderful house that was ideal for us and the dogs. It was ideally located as well to reach the places we wanted to visit such as Derrynane, Kells Bay and Valentia. Would highly recommend this as a place to stay in Waterville
Great property, with amazing views - we were blessed with fantastic weather which meant we were able to be outside most of the time at the beaches - mostly Derrynane and Roonroe, but we would have been happy to spend more time in the house had the weather forced us inside!
The pictures on the website do not do this house justice. Beautiful house with loads of room. Lovely quiet part of Waterville will a lovely beach for walking nearby. In addition while we did not meet Ted and Pauline they answered every query we had. Thank you.
Great hosts with excellent communication before and on arrival day. The house was modern, spacious and well equipped (especially the kitchen, garden & BBQ)-by far the best we’ve rented in the last 10years in South Kerry. Wonderful views and an easy15min walk to Waterville’s shops, pubs & restaurants. Thank you!
Lovely property surrounded by stunning views. Really enjoyed our stay, plenty to do in the area & weather didn't bother us at all as we had waterproofs handy. After lots of exploring, house was comfy & great place to relax & chill.

Liked: Check-in, location, listing accuracy
Disliked: Cleanliness
House below standard in cleanliness
House was beautiful with stunning views, however the house was not clean, there were cobwebs everywhere, it was dusty and it smelled stale. Some of the dishes had hard food stuck on them. It was like a house had been left vacant for about a year and did not get a full clean.
This was our 2nd year staying at Ted & Pauline’s fabulous holiday home. The house is in a fantastic location & is a home from home. It’s so well equipped with everything. We had a super family holiday & were blessed with fabulous sunshine. We’ll be back!
We really enjoyed our stay in this gorgeous house in Waterville. We are a family of 6 (4 adult children) and there was so much space for us all.....and our 2 dogs! The house was clean and warm when we arrived and every room is so well furnished and equipped with everything needed for a very comfortable stay. We found the owners Pauline and Ted very easy to deal with and very helpful. Their home is in a great location and we can't recommend it highly enough.
From start to finish the holiday was brilliant. The property itself is amazing and the location superb. We didn’t want for anything from start to finish and before we arrived we had a minor hiccup with numbers but Ted was very understanding about the situation. Everything you could want in terms of equipment and household appliances are there and we didn’t want for anything throughout our stay. All in all I would give this property 5/5 stars. Thanks Ted, Pauline and Mary!!
A wonderful family holiday, property plenty large enough for 5 Adluts without even using the upstairs.
Everything we needed was in the house. A lovely open fire with plenty of peat and wood available for us to use.
An easy 20 min walk into the town where there were restaurants, bars and a good supermarket.
The local area was beautiful with plenty of walks and nice beaches.
We stayed in this property with 7 adults and a dog.
The house is amazing and so very well stocked.
Each bedroom has a bathroom and there is an extra toilet near the lounge.
The garden is great and the town is just 1km away.
Worth noting that Ireland have only just changed their law on dogs being allowed in pubs etc where food is being served and we found it quite difficult to start with in Waterville itself. We did use a little persuasion and managed to get her in to a couple of places!
Waterville is very well set up and has both a Mace and Centra (supermarkets) so you can definitely eat in.
Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our trip and would highly recommend this property!

Wonderful experience!
I have rented a number of vacation houses in Ireland and elsewhere and this was by far the best experience I have ever had. A friend of mine and I spent a week in Waterville on a golfing holiday this past May. The house was impressive from the moment we walked in and became even more so as we explored its large, airy and sun-filled rooms. While it is a relatively new and spacious house, its design is reminiscent of older Irish homes with beautiful plaster walls. Yet it has every possible modern convenience in perfect working order and is, far and away, the best equipped rental property in my experience, particularly in the kitchen where there was nothing we needed that we couldn't find. In addition to being immaculate throughout, all the furniture was comfortable, particularly the beds. But the piece de resistance is the master bathroom - a huge room with a jacuzzi and the finest shower I've ever experienced.
Owner Pauline Courtney responds to emails almost immediately and is incredibly helpful and accommodating. While we've never met, I feel like we have and she makes every effort to make you feel at home in her home. I've no doubt I will rent this wonderful house again very soon!

Wonderful Waterville
We are just back from our long weekend break in Waterville, Where we stayed in this lovely house. We were met by Mary who looks after the property and she was very nice and helpful. We were amazed at the size of the house so roomy for everyone! We had the master bedroom with the Jacuzzi bath and shower room. I loved the shower with it's jets and so spacious!. Our bed was super comfy as were the other beds. Undefloor heating was lovely. . The owners provided everything from bikes to body boards..The only suggestion I would give is to fix the gates in the garden so that children and pets are contained.:)
Waterville is a lovely place and the surrounding beaches are really lovely. Derrynane House is worth a visit and their cafe is really good. The beach is really beautiful and great for all the family.:)
I would recomment this property to everyone, and would come back again without hesitation!. A beautiful house and beautiful location!

Lovely House
If you want to explore Kerry this is an ideal base
It is a fantastic house with all the facilities that you could ever need. It is spacious and well furnished warm and comfortable
As it is the family's own holiday home it feels like a home and not souless like some holiday cottages and as a visitor you are given access to all the things a family uses like bikes picnic baskets wet suits you name it and its probably tucked in a cupboard
There are lots of things to see locally and if you come you must visit the Skelligs a world heritage site. For the adventurous there lots of activities locally to try out surfing wind surfing climbing.
But most impressive was the warm welcome from the owner and the local caretaker we even had welcome treats for our dogs!
You will love it!

Truly wonderful home in Waterville
We had a truly wonderful long weekend in this very well appointed holiday home in Waterville.
The house is very spacious, comfortable and well equipped with all the comforts of home, and five bedrooms!
It is in a lovely scenic location on a side road within 10 mins. walk of the village.
Under floor heating means that it is cosy in all weather conditions, and it’s an ideal base for exploring
the surrounding countryside (by walking, cycling or car). The ring of Kerry is not to be missed.
Even if the weather is not great, you can all chill out in a large and relaxing living room with an open turf fire.
There is a range of excellent restaurants nearby, and we were received most warmly by Bridie O’Neill who
runs The Point in Cahirciveen and serves stunning fresh seafood. We also had a very good meal in Dooley’s in Waterville.
Over the weekend, we visited Derrynane House (former home of Daniel O’Connell), walked the mass path route, and
swam on the strand there.
We were also lucky enough to travel out by boat to the Skelligs (two rocky islands 8 miles off the coast) where the remains of an 8th century monastic settlement
can be explored... a thrilling experience. Des Lavelle is the local expert on the Skelligs and the main contact for these trips.
We have no hesitation in strongly recommending this house to any prospective visitors, and we are sure they will enjoy their stay.
