Calypso towers is the closest property to pier park! Park your car - no need to drive anywhere with pier park across the street - the ultimate dining, shopping, entertainment complex including Margaritaville, the back porch, marble slab creamery, the last resort, Ron Jon surf shop, buffalo wild wings (for all the games!), five guys, cantina Mexican cuisine, red bricks pizza, Starbucks, hoffbrau beer gardens, a 14 screen theater complex, target (with new 'fresh market' grocery store), dillards, Ann Taylor loft, chicos, American eagle, aeropostale, old navy, borders books, fusion day spa, massage envy, cute boutiques and much, much more! Free outdoor concerts - Thursday evenings at pier park. Carnival rides and games for the young children. Close to frank brown park! We are located next to unspoiled beaches, and beyond that is the Russell fields city pier - over 1500 feet! The longest pier on the gulf of Mexico - offering breathtaking views and inexpensive fishing tackle rentals. For a great lunch 'to go' to the beach, check out fatty's sub shop across the street - excellent wraps, pizza, sandwiches! Give them your beach chair number and they'll even deliver it to your beach chair! Check out their menu along with many others in our 'things to do' binder.

Spring Break 2025

Pros- property was clean and we were allowed to check in early. Owner was very responsive to questions and check in process. Very very courteous and helpfulCons- our main issue was this was an 8 person condo and only had two balcony chairs…two. Garbage disposal didn’t work and tv volume shut off randomly in the living room. The condo was fine just definitely needed some maintenance for sure. we would stay here again

Best location

Condo is actually bigger than I thought. Best location to be. In the middle of everything. Only complaint is appliances need updated such as stove it took me an hour to boil water but not a big issue. Toilet leaked and dishwasher didn't work but the property manager was quick to get the issues resolved and working properly. Only real issue was the sand in the bunk beds. I washed the bedding. Great place though. Would stay again for sure.

Amazing

Bruce was great to deal with! The condo was just what we were hoping for. The only downfall was the additional cost to rent beach chairs every day that apparently were not included with the wrist bands supplied. The wrist bands according to the people on the resorts beach were only to access the beach through the Calypso resort and to access their pools. Not a big deal but it would have been nice to know to budget for that additional expense. Overall a great vacation condo!

Family vacation

Not the cleanliness unit we’ve stayed in, stains on curtains, throw rugs dirty. No floor towel or mat in master bathroom, no sink rugs, shower slippery with no anti slip or bars, no sink stoppers, no cutting board, but kitchen stocked was overall satisfactory. Good location. Parking garage issues, codes not working. Housecleaners arrived rudely at 9:45am day of check out-as we were in the process of helping out by stripping beds. Check out at 10 am and we were clearly almost packed , maybe not been out by 10 am on the dot, but close. The cleaners just came in telling us to “hurry up” cause they need to clean - again not 10 am yet. We were rushed and they were rude. From the lack of cleanliness of the unit, they obviously are the ones that are rushed. Manager was attentive and very helpful when we had parking ramp issues. Overall, I’d come back, but ask the manage for an 11am check out, that way when the cleaners arrive 15 mins early, we’d be gone.

Great Location

First and foremost, the location is unbeatable. Situated right on the beach, we enjoyed breathtaking ocean views from the comfort of our balcony. The convenience of having direct access to the beach allowed us to make the most of our vacation time. The condo itself was beautifully furnished and well-maintained. It was clear that attention had been given to every detail, from the comfortable beds to the fully equipped kitchen. We had everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Calypso fun

Location, location, location. For people who like to be at the center of things, this is your spot. Close to shopping and restaurant! Nice for when the weather doesn’t cooperate - like our week. We had a few issues: the floor was pretty dirty when we checked in. Housekeeping was nice and offered to come right away to mop. With people from three family groups, it was inconvenient that the bathroom locks didn’t work, but for some it might not matter. Our biggest issue was that the third “bedroom” was tiny, with no closet and a small chest. One of those drawers was broken. In the pic, there is a ceiling fan, but there wasn’t one in reality. With 4 people on double bunks, it was hot in that room. So, we had to keep the AC uncomfortably cool for everyone else to make that room bearable to sleep in. Kitchen was fine. Adequate dishes, etc., bathrooms ok too. With all the rain, we enjoyed the balcony. The pool was nice too.

Weekend Away

My friends and I originally booked a hotel for the weekend, but I randomly decided to check out the VRBOs because we wanted to be closer to the beach. I found this rental and we all immediately decided to get out of our hotel reservation. The owners were quick to respond and even made it possible for us to check in early. So convenient and amazing view of the ocean. Thank you!!
