In the center of Marseille (La Plaine / Cours Julien) here is a romantic hideaway in quiet. 2 small rooms (one room with a double bed) and a beautiful wooden terrace await you as if you were just in the countryside. The terrace overlooks the gardens and south. The apartment is on the first floor in old building with 2 floors at the bottom of a garden.
Metro (line 2) and Tram (line 2) are a short walk uphill and just one block you are already at La Plaine with its market and café terraces. The friendliest neighborhood in Marseille, bustling tourist hubbub but rejected the Old Port.
The apartment is ideal for a small break for two to discover Marseille. Or to find refuge after a day of work on the go. And we are at your disposal for any information (which discover in Marseille, where to eat, what walks, what beach ...)

Charmant séjour dans le quartier vibrant de Marseille

Nous sommes complètement tombés sous le charme de ce petit appartement! c’est un lieu reposant, meublé et décoré avec goût, avec tout le nécessaire, idéalement situé dans le quartier de la Plaine, en retrait de la rue dans un quartier calme mais à 2 pas du cours Julien et à peine 15 minutes à pied du Vieux port. Anne nous a très bien accueillis et elle était toujours disponible. Il y a tout ce qu’il faut à proximité : supermarché, boulangerie, les transports en commun, … nous reviendrons sans hésiter :)

Un lieu atypique et plein de chame

Oasis near vibey Cours Julien

Convenient to the restaurants and hustle of Cours Julien, this tiny apartment has just about everything you need for a self-catering holiday. If you arrive in mid-spring, you'll even get to enjoy loquats directly off the tree growing alongside the large terrace.

Eine grüne Oase in einem schönen Szene-Stadtviertel.

Die Wohnung ist individuell und liebevoll eingerichtet. In der kleinen Küche lassen sich gut Mahlzeiten zubereiten. Auch eine Waschmaschine ist vorhanden. Auf großem Balkon/Dachterrasse genießt man von morgens bis abends die Sonne, in den Wipfeln von Aprikosen - und Mispelbäumen. Die deutschsprachige Vermieterin ist überaus gastfreundlich und hilfreich mit vielen guten Tipps für den Aufenthalt. Wärmstens zu empfehlen!

Nicht luxuriös, aber ausgesprochen charmant und mit Geschmack eingerichtet

Bei unserem 2-wöchigen Aufenthalt haben wir (67 und 70 Jahre alt) uns in dieser Unterkunft richtig wohl gefühlt. Das Apartment ist zwar nicht luxuriös, auch nicht besonders groß, aber sehr überlegt und mit Geschmack eingerichtet, so dass für 2 Personen nicht nur alles, was man so benötigen könnte, ausreichend vorhanden ist; es war uns ausgesprochen sympathisch und verströmt in unseren Augen auch so etwas wie "französichen Charme". Am meisten genossen haben wir die große "Balkon-Terrasse" (mitten in der Stadt !), die in unseren Augen das Highlight darstellt. Frau Plei hat uns (am späten Abend !) freundlich und zuvorkommend empfangen, war hilfsbereit und für uns während unseres Aufenthalts immer ansprechbar; sie hat uns netter Weise auch bei der Abreise unterstützt.

Charmant, authentisch, traumhaft schön!

Vielen lieben Dank für den traumhaft schönen Aufenthalt! Für alle, die ein Stück Frankreich erleben wollen und danach suchen, wie es ist, abseits von den touristischen Straßen. Dieses Appartement ist im Herzen Marseilles gelegen, ruhig und dennoch sehr zentral. Alles kann wunderbar zu Fuß erkundet werden. Am Morgen kann man alles frisch von dem nahegelegenen Markt einholen, wenn das Viertel langsam erwacht, um anschließend auf der ausladenden und grünen Terrasse zu frühstücken. Für einen Ausflug zu den Calanques empfiehlt sich die ganz nahegelegene Metro und dann geht es mit dem Bus weiter. Bei allen Fragen steht die Gastgeberin mit Rat und Tat zur Seite. Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder. Merci. ❤

Charmant appartement, en effet !

J'ai passé un heureux séjour dans cet appartement très bien situé : tout près du Vieux-Port (tram et métro pas loin) et en même temps au calme, dans une rue minuscule. On s'y sent au cœur du cœur de Marseille ! L'intérieur est charmant, bien aménagé, propre et on se sent tellement bien sur la terrasse, toute en bois et en verdure. Merci, Anne, pour votre sympathique accueil ! Je ne manquerai pas de revenir et de recommander votre location.

Zentral, gemütlich und romantisch

Wir haben unsere Tage in Marseille sehr genossen. Großen Anteil hatte daran die gute Wahl der Ferienwohnung: Zentral gelegen, ruhig und gemütlich, zudem in angenehmer Distanz zu den Touristenströmen. Der Urlaub beginnt beim entspannten Frühstück auf der Terrasse, die auch der ideale Ort ist, um zwischen verschiedenen Touren oder am Abend auszuruhen.

Écrin de verdure au cœur de la ville

Appartement atypique, plein de charme, fidèle aux photos et bien situé. Ce n'est pas le grand luxe, tout n'est pas parfait et sur certains points, il manque de praticité mais voila, on s'y sent bien ! Et cerise sur le gâteau, cette terrasse, juste improbable en plein centre ville ! Pour finir, merci à la propriétaire pour ses conseils, sa gentillesse et sa disponibilité.

Traumterrasse im besten Viertel

Kontakt zur Vermieterin unkompliziert, sehr entgegenkommend bei An- und Abreise. Vielen Dank! Die Wohnung ist der Hit, die Terrasse einfach wundervoll und entspannend, Supermarkt 2 min. zu Fuß und die Wohnung im für uns allerbesten Viertel: wie der Prenzlauer Berg mit einsetzender, aber noch erträglicher Gentrifizierung. Wer Lust hat, kann ganz Marseille von hier aus zu Fuß erkunden. Internet prima, Küche winzig (aber vor der Tür gibt es zu jeder Tages- und Nachtzeit Essen in allen Preisklassen), Bad gemütlich. Zwischen den Stadterkundungen konnten wir auf der sonnigen Terrasse entspannen und uns sonnen. Draußen leben mitten in der Stadt. Absolut empfehlenswert.

Ruhig, idyllisch und zentral

Unsere Erwartungen aus dem Inserat wurden positiv übertroffen. Eine sehr zweckmäßige und geschmackvolle Ausstattung erwartete uns vor Ort. Die wunderschöne und große Terrasse ermöglichte uns, auf "unserer" Morgenbank den ersten Kaffee zu uns zu nehmen, mittags im Liegestuhl zu sonnen und abends am großen Tisch im Schatten bei romantischer Beleuchtung zu dinieren. Die Betreuung durch die Vermieterin war vor und während des Aufenthalts, sowie bei der Abreise ausführlich, informativ und angenehm. Besonders entgegenkommend wurden wir bei unserer späten Anreise und sehr frühen Abreise behandelt. Nur aus Selbstzweck, da wir gern bald wiederkommen würden, würden wir diesen besonderen Tip nicht gern zu häufig weiter geben. Aber das Appartement ist als Domizil, um Marseille und Umgebung zu erkunden, äußerst zu empfehlen! Die Plätze in der Nähe bieten interessante Wochen- und Flohmärkte, wo man auch gut zum Kaffeetrinken, Croissants essen, zum Mittagessen oder abends auf ein Bier sitzen kann. Aber auch das arabische Viertel (Metro Station Noailles) hatte es uns mit all seinen köstlichen Kleinigkeiten sehr angetan.

Merci beaucoup

Nous avons passé une semaine magnifique et passionante à Marseille. On avait vraiment beaucoup de chance avec cet appartement qui est très jolie et - à notre surprise - aussi très calme. L'appartement se situe très central, les deux chambres sont lumineuses et confortables. La terrasse est de bonne dimension avec vue sur le jardin. C'est tout simplement une oase, surtout si on revient des excursions dans la region. La loueuse est très sympathique, chaleureuse et attentive. Nous avons eu une temps super à Marseille et un jour, en tout cas, nous y irons encore une fois.

Zentral und trotzdem die Ruhe pur

Ein sehr besonderes und charmantes Appartement mit einer ebenso charmanten Vermieterin. Wir sind sehr herzlich empfangen worden und haben uns vom ersten Tag an wohlgefühlt. Die beiden Zimmer sind hell und freundlich. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Und zu allem Überfluss gibt es eine wunderschöne und große Terrasse. Wir haben dort wunderbare Tage verbracht. Es war sehr entspannt und ruhig. Das Appartement ist ein idealer Ausgangspunkt, um Marseille zu entdecken. Zentraler geht´s fast nicht.

Absolut empfehlenswert

Wir haben acht wunderbare, spannende und entspannte Tage in Marseille verbracht. Wirklich großes Glück hatten wir mit dem sehr schönen und überraschend ruhigen Appartement. Und das auch noch in zentraler Lage! Zwei helle, komfortable Räume und eine wirklich großzügige Terrasse mit Blick in den Garten. Geradezu eine Oase, wenn wir von langen Ausflügen in und rund um Marseille zurück gekommen sind. Die Vermieterin ist sehr sympathisch, herzlich und aufmerksam. Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit in Marseille und werden auf jeden Fall noch mal hinfahren.

Une location rare et précieuse

Nous (et nos deux invités suisses) vous remercions de cette très belle opportunité de logement à Marseille ! Nous avons l’habitude de louer des appartements pour nos artistes via les différents sites sur internet et nous avons été souvent déçu entre la description et la réalité (mauvais agencement, équipement un peu juste, trop de bruit, pas de lumière, pas de serviettes...). Chez vous la réalité dépasse positivement un peu le descriptif. La vue sur la verdure des jardins est belle et reposante, le calme est garanti, l’aménagement est complet, doux et lumineux, le quartier est agréable et vivant à souhait (qu’à quelques pas de votre petite rue). Tous les commodités se trouvent vraiment à côté. Nous n’avons manqué de rien, ce qui est rare. Nous avons également très apprécié de trouver quelques vives de base. Ayant à disposition un petit stock de sucre, de sel, d’huile, thé, café et de papier toilette etc. facilité beaucoup l’arrivée. Votre rigueur des formalités d’arrivée, nous semble par contre un peu trop appuyé, mais va en même temps bien ensemble avec la bonne tenue de cet appartement. C’est une location rare et précieuse.

Wonderful Appartment in Marseilles

Un peu déçue...

La décoration est très bien , on se sent bien dans l'appartement , , la situation interessante (ne pas venir avec une voiture ! ), au calme avec une belle terrasse mais pour les wc séparés , il n'est pas précisé qu'ils sont dehors , aller aux toilettes avec une couverture ....la literie n'est pas de bonne qualité contrairement à ce qui est écrit dans le descriptif et puis la cuisine était sale , les portes grasses et de la poussière partout , c'est un ménage superficiel , heureusement que nous ne sommes pas obsédés par la saleté et nous n'avons pas vu la propriétaire sauf le dernier jour , c'est vrai que c'était les fêtes un peu de vrai ménage , un vrai lit avec un bon matelas et ce serait parfait!!!

Since we could buy this charming apartment, I am happy to welcome foreigners and I try to help as good as I can that you'll have a lovely stay in Marseille.

Why they chose this property

When I saw this apartment the first time, I was totally charmed. A little jewel in the heart of Marseille, but quiet, so quiet that you are astonished when you sometimes hear from far away a car or a motorcycle.
The apartment was at this time rented by a good friend of mine and we spent marvelous moments on the terrace.
In 2003, the apartment underneath was to rent too and as I always dreamed to live in this part of the town, I moved in.
And better, when in 2006 he sold, I didn't hesitate to buy one moment. It is so rare to find an apartment with a big terrace (not a balcony!) in Marseille. And the view is on gardens.
And so we, my husband and me, are the happy owners and having the big pleasure to welcome people visiting Marseille.

What makes this property unique

The quarter Cours Julien / La Plaine is the quarter the most alive in Marseille with his markets, the cafés and restaurants and a lot of places to go. But is not the touristic center, it is really mixed.
The advantage of the apartment is, that you'll find this Marseille live by feet at five minutes, but the apartment itself is really calm.

You can reach quite everything by feet, but bot métros are near and the tram N°2 also. From the railway station is is only two halts.
