Casa dos Agapantos

Our stay was wonderful. Studio was just as advertised. Maria was lovely and left us some delicious fig jam and fresh fruit for our arrival. Nuno was excellent to talk to, accommodated our early arrival and responded to any of our questions promptly. We were very happy with our stay at the Casa in Ponta Delgada.

Ein Kleinod in der Stadt

Herzliche Gastgeber, die uns ein kleines Rustico in ihrem wunderschönen Garten voller Vogelgezwitscher und blühenden Bromelien, Kamelien und Liliengewächse vermietet haben. Begrüßt wurden wir mit süßen Brot, Butter, Obst und hausgemachter Guavenmarmelade, damit das erste Frühstück gesichert war. Aufgrund der hohen Luftfeuchtigkeit war es im März im Haus noch etwas fröstelig (trotz Elektroheizung), im Sommer ist das aber sicher ein Vorteil. Eine Waschmaschine und ein Grill sind nicht beim Haus vorhanden gewesen, aber die Gastgeberin hat uns dafür per Full Service unsere Wäsche mitgewaschen und hätte uns auch bei Bedarf gerne einen Grill zur Verfügung gestellt. Supermarkt, Restaurants und Bars sind fußläufig gut zu erreichen, auch im Zentrum von Ponta Delgada ist man zu Fuß in 15 min. Das Schlafsofa aus einer vorangegangenen Rezension ist offensichtlich einem Doppelbett gewichen, wir haben ausgezeichnet geschlafen, obwohl wir auch bereits 50+ sind. Im Haus sind zwei Stufen zu überwinden, die Wege zum Haus sind auch etwas uneben und daher ist das Haus nicht barrierefrei.

Beautiful stay, home and people

Maria is such a gracious hostess. Everything was perfect when we arrived. She gave a tour of the garden, so beautiful. You can see there is a lot of love put into to this property. We only stayed 4 days, delayed our car rental because it was walking distance to everything we needed. We were sad to leave. We rented to other properties during our stay in Sao Miguel, Maria’s was still our favourite. We will definitely be back.

4 Wochen im Paradies !

Wunderschöne gepflegte park-ähnliche Anlage mit großem sauberem Pool - ideal für Ruhesuchende, zugleich auch idealer Ausgangspunkt zur Stadt- und Inselerkundung. Sehr behaglich möbliertes und liebevoll dekoriertes Wohlfühl-Cottage mit kompletter Küchenausstattung. Sehr charmante und hilfsbereite Vermieterin. Dem vielfachen Lob der Vormieter können wir uns vorbehaltlos anschließen.

Este verano nos hemos alojado en la cas de los Agapanthus, dos adultos y un niño. La experiencia ha sido muy buena: la casa és confortable, totalmente equipada, tiene acceso a un jardín maravilloso, mucho mas grande de lo que muestran las fotos, con árboles frutales, plantas aromáticas, plantas autóctonas de Azores, y una piscina increíble. Ha sido un gran alivio como padres poder proporcionarle a nuestro hijo su rato de juego y esparcimiento, y un buen chapuzón al final de la jornada. La amabilidad de los anfitriones es remarcable, en especial de Maria Antonia, a quien agradecemos sus explicaciones, y su cordialidad. Aconsejamos esta casa por las razones indicadas, y porque además se encuentra bien situada, se puede ir andando hasta el centro.Un paraíso de tranquilidad cerca de todo, qué más se puede pedir?!

Ruhig in der Stadt

Das "Haus der Agapanthus" ist ein kleines historisches Gebäude auf dem Gartengrundstück der Vermieterin, es beherbergt ein recht großes und topp gepflegtes Apartment mit Küche. Das Haus liegt ruhig am Rande des großen Gartens, auf dem sich auch ein Pool und Möglichkeiten zum Grillen befinden. Die Unterkunft ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und vollständig ausgestattet, wir haben während unseres 5-tägigen Aufenthalts nichts vermisst. Die Angaben und Fotos auf der Homepage ermöglichen einen guten Eindruck, da ist nichts "gestellt". Zur Information (obwohl für uns nicht wichtig): wer auf Fernsehschauen wert legt hat schlechte Karten, da nur ein deutschsprachiger Sender (RTL) im Satelliten-/Kabel-TV-Angebot ist. Ein echter kleiner Wermutstropfen: das Bett ist eigentlich ein permanent ausgezogenes Schlafsofa mit entsprechender Schlafqualität - das sollte man wissen. Garten und Pool werden von Mietern (es gibt noch das "Haus der Clivien") und Vermieterin gemeinsam genutzt, da ist Platz für alle. Die Unterkunft liegt ruhig in einer Seitenstraße, aber dennoch verkehrsgünstig. Es gibt eine Bushaltestelle in der Nähe (von uns nicht genutzt) und Teile der Stadt lassen sich auch zu Fuß erkunden, wenn man längere Wege nicht fürchtet. Da man aber normalerweise die ganze Insel Sao Miguel erkunden wird, ist ein Mietwagen zu empfehlen. Die Vermieterin, Maria, kümmert sich in dezenter Art und Weise sehr aufmerksam um die Gäste und ist jederzeit ansprechbar. Die Verständigung erfolgt auf englisch. Ein späte Anreise (23:00) war kein Problem. Die Wegbeschreibung im Vorfeld war sehr gut, die Adresse war mit dem Auto auch ohne Navi gut zu finden. Die Kommunikation per email hat im Vorfeld der Reise gut funktioniert. Vielen Dank dafür! Wir können diese Unterkunft bedingungslos empfehlen.

l'hospitalite acorienne e...

l'hospitalite acorienne etait reellement presente avec notre hote d'accueil recevant bananes et avocats de son jardin.Notre suprise fut enorme lors de la visite du jardin digne d'un jardin botanique. Le studio est decore avec gout et proche du centre historique.Tres propre, a recomander.

L'appartement est très ag...

L'appartement est très agréable, propre et décoré avec goût. Il est au calme et proche du centre historique, 15 mn à pied. Le métro ligne verte est tout proche. L'accueil des propriétaires est tres chaleureux et attentionne. A recommander"

"S. Miguel is a beautiful and relaxing island. The house is exactly as shown in the photos and is located on a beautiful property. The owners are extremely welcoming and caring about the guests comfort and well being. We will definitely recommend it to friends and will surely come back. -------------------------------------------------- S. Miguel é uma ilha fantástica, perfeita para relaxar. A Casa dos Agapantos é tal e qual como nas fotos e situa-se numa bela propriedade. Os proprietários são extremamente amáveis e é notória a sua preocupação com o conforto e bem estar dos hóspedes. "La casa es una pequeña j...

"La casa es una pequeña joya, con un jardín y una piscina de ensueño. Pero lo mejor es el trato de los propietarios, no puedo estar más agradecido de su disponibilidad y simpatía. La calle donde está situada es muy tranquila y está a 10 minutos andando del centro. Una dirección de lo más recomendable."

Paradise exists (on earth...

Paradise exists (on earth). We found it during our stay in the 'Casa dos Agapantos'. We have absolutely no negative remarks. The people on the Azores are very friendly and helpful, but the hospitality we received from the owners of this house, beats everything. The cleanliness of the house is perfect, it has a big, very beautiful garden, the swimming pool is at the disposition of the guests...After a little walk one is in the center of the town and the sea. The airport is nearby (without being disturbed by the noise of the planes)....Highly recommended!
