Ski weekend

We enjoyed our stay and loved the cabin! Connie is wonderful to work with as well! It’s a great location to ski Showdown or drive into White Sulphur to grab a bite to eat, etc.

Very wonderful place but the owner stopping by every day was a bit weird. Felt like I was being checked on the whole time. For what it cost and why I got it for piece and quite the intrusion was odd. Loved the place but feel like the property manager was over the top with piece of mind. The House was full like we booked, from 47 years to11. I really didn’t need a house babysitter

Stunning views and calming atmosphere

This cabin getaway was just what our tight knit group of friends needed. Plenty of space to relax indoors and out with nice hikes and downtown nearby. Cooking in the spacious kitchen was a dream. And Connie was easy to work with and very accommodating for our 2 year old daughter. We hope to be back again soon!

Lovely property

We loved this place! It’s gorgeous! However, I would say it sleeps 10 comfortably. The pullout sofa is not a comfortable option. We will definitely be back!

Our Favorite Place to Stay

We come to the ranch every year sometimes just my wife and I or with family. Can not tell you how much we love this place. If you need to chill this is the place. You can not find any other place that is as quiet and beautiful surrounding plus some incredible fly fishing. Connie your host is the epitome of a Montana ranch family, friendly, accommodating and quickly you have a new friend. We stay at a lot of VRBO's and there is none better than this place. This is the place to truly experience eastern Montana.

Lovely Cabin on a Beautiful Ranch

The Townsend's cabin was a lovely home base for a ski weekend at Showdown. It had a huge kitchen which was great for cooking for a big group. They were having some issues with the new fireplace, but worked really hard to get it up and running for us. Overall, the hosts were very communicative and hands-on. The entrance to one of the rooms in the cabin is through another room, or from the outside (just something to consider, especially for a winter stay). But we loved the cabin and had a great experience!

Amazing!! Beautiful!! Peaceful !!!

This is a wonderful, peaceful, beautiful home! We have stayed here multiple times over the last years and ALWAYS had an amazing time. We stay at the house each year for the Red Ants Music festival and have our children, grandchildren and friends join us. The house is close to White Sulphur Springs but it's own world once you are there! Beautiful home, great pond for fishing and truly peaceful surroundings with wildlife (deer, badgers etc), pastures full of cows and fields of wild grasses and flowers. The Townsends (Connie and Will) have done a great job of creating a home that provides a sense of "on Walden Pond" in the West! As a special treat our aged English Mastiff comes along and truly feels she has found nirvana! Connie is accommodating and when we are here we feel like we have "come home" and are among friends.

White Sulphur Springs rental house gem

We recently rented this house with four couples and 8 young kids and give it an enthusiastic double thumbs up! Excellent location and very cool house. We drove and hiked through the ranch which was beautiful - be sure to bring your binos to glass for elk, there are a lot around. This is a new rental house and in great shape. The property is beyond tidy and well managed. There is open water very near the house (2 ponds and Willow Creek), to be aware of for fun and kid safety. What few small pieces of feedback we have (no microwave, no broom/dustpan, etc.), I'm sure will be taken care of quickly. Will stopped by each day to make sure everything was in order and that we had what we needed. He was friendly, inviting and the kind of guy you want to rent a house from. We will certainly be returning.

unexpected tranquility

What a surprise to experience such a peaceful and comfortable stay ! From the gorgeous views to the cozy clean home we enjoyed our stay immensely. I stayed with a group of friends and all of us agreed this was by far the most beautiful setting and all of us want to return with our families.

Fun Weekend

We had 12 people in our party. We had dinner in Ringling then soaked in the natural hot springs in White Sulpher before retiring to the cabin. Pleanty of space and room for 12. I don't remember the last time I was in such a secluded spot where I could look over thousands of acres and not see another house. We are planning a snowmobile weekend in early 2016. We WILL be back! Thanks Townsend family for sharing your property with us. It made for the perfect weekend stay!

White Sulphur Springs Getaway

It's not a rustic cabin, but "glamour cabin" experience that is comfortable, affordable, and spacious! Our group of ten found this a place we want to visit again!

Wedding relatives

We had a wonderful time at the ranch. It was so nice roomy and great family gathering house. Kids and adults had fun at the ponds. We were there for a wedding but sure wish we had more time to just enjoy the amenities of the area. White Sulphur Springs has a couple of grocery stores so if you forgot anything it was only a few miles away. Loved loved Montana and Townsend family were great to work with.

Beautiful, Peacful Setting

What a special place! This property offers a spectacular Montana experience. A great place to get away with the family to really experience the outdoors. The kids brought bikes and we brought our hiking shoes to explore the area. Next time we will bring fishing poles as the ponds are stocked. It's close to White Sulphur for a soak in the hot pools or a quick ride to Showdown for a day of skiing. Our trip was in the winter, but we are already plotting a summer or fall getaway to the cabin. The owner was great and very easy to work with!

Thanksgiving Weekend

Our family had the opportunity to stay at this amazing cabin during the last week of November. We brought our hunting horses, kids and family to the ranch for the end of the Montana hunting season and to spend Thanksgiving together as a family. The cabin is located just a few miles from White Sulphur Springs, so groceries and the Hot Spring pools were just a few minutes away. The cabin was equipped with everything we needed and all the appliances worked perfectly for preparing a Thanksgiving Feast for 10 people. The setting of the ranch is unbelievable and the home itself is very accommodating and exactly what we were looking for. The owners made sure that all our needs were met and even allowed us to utilize the corrals for our horses. We enjoyed the cabin's location to both the Castle Mountains and the Little Belt Mountains. We were able to get to the trail-head early in the morning and back home to a warm and cozy cabin in the evening to share stories and meals with our family. We would love the opportunity to come back again and enjoy this amazing property. The Townsend's are a hardworking Montana Ranch Family, we feel privileged to have met them through our VRBO experience. Thank you Will and Family, and hopefully we will see you this hunting season or sooner!
