Rivers Edge "CATCH WILD TROUT" Discount 7 nights or more July and August 2024
Estes Park License # 6116. Welcome to a very private updated mountain cabin on the rivers edge (located on private .8 acre). Hear the roar of the river and watch water splash on the boulders. Enjoy fishing for wild trout on 182 feet of private Big Thompson River running through the property. This is an older cabin with a lot of character with a portion built in the 1930's. We are continually upgrading the cabin. Every one who has stayed at the cabin loves its charm.
Relax under large shaded Pine Trees on a manicured lawn while viewing the stream and tree covered mountains. Elk and other wildlife will frequently be roaming in the yard in the evening or early morning. Bring the camera and camcorder to take pictures of the Elk.
Easy access to Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain National Park.
Shopping and restaurants are available as downtown Estes Park is less than 1/2 mile. Several shops and restaurants are within walking distance. The South entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park is within one mile.
We have updated the bathrooms like you see on "Home Makeover". The old cabin has some of its charm left when constructed in about 1940 plus the upgrades we have made over the years. We have owned the cabin since 2004

This property has all the comforts of home plus a river in the backyard, easy access to Rocky Mountain National Park in one direction on US 36 and easy access to downtown Estes Park in the other. This quiet property is more than a block off of US 36. We found good eating, a grocery store and some shopping nearby.
Great location. Enjoyed the river and sound of water; very relaxing. Elk, turkeys, deer, stellar jays, bunnies, all were present everyday. It was a lot of fun for us all, especially my 4 year old granddaughter. We really enjoyed our stay, thank you!
My family and I enjoyed a long weekend in Estes Park & RMNP, and this cabin was perfect for us! It is surprisingly spacious, clean, and the setting is wonderful. We witnessed a bull elk right across the river our first night, which was very neat! We had an amazing time, and we'll definitely be back!
We love our stays at this cabin. The wildlife here is just great. Also caught some trout in the river! The house could use some maintenance but the location is so good.
Beautiful place for spending time on the river and having all the comforts of home!! Trees with autumn colors, the elk were wandering & doing their thing, and listening to the river. Couldn't ask for much more!! Thanks for sharing your place.
Stayed Monday through Friday and had an amazing time. Elk in the yard most mornings, beautiful riverfront, and close to everything (grocery, restaurants, park, etc.) but still private. Very clean, plenty of space, and check in and out were easy with no issues. Would definitely stay again!
The river behind the cabin was the main reason we stayed here. My kids loved playing in the water! Within 30 minutes of getting there a herd of elk crossed the river to come into the yard! A memory we’ll never forget! Also the morning we left, a bull elk was laying in the yard 20 yards from the garage! So neat! We loved this place!!
We had a very nice relaxing stay. The home was clean and had all the necessities for a comfortable stay. We were greeted by the owner who was extremely nice and let us know he was just a call away for any needs. We would definitely return again.
The close proximity to town and both entrances to RMNP were great. We did have one day where there were about 25 mama elks with their babes in the yard. It was so neat watching them lay under the trees for a short while before moving on.
The cabin was very clean and comfortable and stocked with towels cookware etc.. The location on the river was wonderful while also being close to town.

Why they chose this property
If is a private setting on .8 Acre with 180 ft of Big Thompson River 50 feet from the updated funky cabin. We have rented the property 10 seasons and nearly everyone believes it was one of their best vacation rentals.
What makes this property unique
Sound of the river while at the cabin, lots of wildlife passing through the property daily. Large open play area for kids. The added fire pit makes it like camping with the bath room 30 feet away.
