charming property in LLiber
lovely old terraced house in Lliber village close to the church and very near the local square and bar/restaurant. Great walking area. House is equipped with most things you might need - right down to the salad spinner, garlic press and lemon squeezer. There is a view of the mountains from the Nya which gets all the evening sun. The two adjoined terraces on the floor below the nya that get sun in some part at every hour of the day (mid September-mid October) so I suppose it would be 100% all over during high summer. There are two good sun loungers not mentioned in the info. Plenty of towels and sheets, People seem to leave lots of useful things and we were grateful and in turn have left quite a few things for the next visitors. We are walkers so we enjoyed the area very much. Great too for mountain bikes. Parking semi-problematic but it's possible to get it right and park near the pharmacy in the covered area about 200 yards away. We unloaded the car on arrival quite easily though we had to move our car when another car came along. Time it right and it's ok because people are very friendly and amenable. Fiona seems really easy to deal with. We will certainly return.

Character cottage in beautiful village
The cottage is well situated in the lovely village of Lliber which has a good village shop, butcher, baker and three bars (one of which serves tapas and other snacks). It is really well situated for walking - either from the door or a short walk away - and the area is popular with cyclists (there is bike storage in the secure rear terrace shed). The cottage is quirky - don't bother if you want a slick apartment - but it is full of character, has plenty of space and storage. The beds are mega-comfy too! Note: as described in the details the bathroom and twin bedroom open off the double, so great for families, not so good for two couples. (We were one couple and loved it.) Fiona is a great host, very keen that we enjoy our stay and quick to provide information or iron out any little wrinkles. A good stay!

Great base for week of cycling
We greatly enjoyed our stay in this nice reformed house in Lliber. We had ridden though Lliber year after year when staying in Calpe for our cycling vacations, and this year we decided to try staying near Lliber. This comfortable house was a great base allowing us to start rides further from the costal traffic and head deeper in the surrounding mountains.

Lovely Cottage & area, cannot wait to come back.
We have a lovely time staying in Lliber at this cottage. The location is quiet and the scenery is stunning which was great for walking and bike riding. The cottage was very nicely presented with everything we needed. We loved the little balcony and the patio area. You have to drive to the nearest beach, but it was a lovely drive so we did not mind doing it. I would certainly recommend this if you are looking for a taste of real Spain. Cannot wait to come back.

Beautiful part or real spain
A charming house, fully of character. It looked small on the outside, but once those doors opened we were pleasantly surprised..The photos on this site do not do it justice. Fiona was very helpful and was spot on with all our questions, Nicky is lovely and pops in to say hello to make sure you are ok. A lovely set up. We had a great holiday, and will be back. Thank you.

We grew up in the Uk and started to travel 25years ago. We have used our lovely cottage as a home with out our child and also as a family. We currently live in the United Arab Emirates with our child and dog,who has also lived in Lliber with us.

Why they chose this property

We were visiting friends in the area and on our last day were told that a house had just been put on the market, we went straight round to the house and fell in love with it. The beautiful wooden beams and the view across the valley sold it to us. We were living in the Middle East at the time and 6 months later the house was ours and we moved to Spain. Everyone who enters the cottage falls in love with the house it may be because of the thickness of the walls, views, the uneven rustic walls. It maybe in a quiet valley but if you wish to stay active there's plenty of things to do outside. Loved the sanctuary it gives you but also the chance to get into your car or on your bike and explore.

What makes this property unique

Waking up in the morning and the first thing you see is the Sierra Bernia from the bedroom window is amazing and watching the sunset on the terrace of an evening is beautiful.
