This beautiful coastal cottage is located in a peaceful location in the pretty village of Alnmouth, renowned for its stretch of golden beaches. The holiday cottage is in a private and secluded spot and the property is all on one level. It is surrounded by a beautiful, large woodland garden with 2 patio areas and a fantastic tree house for children to play in. The garden is shared between the Lodge and the Cottage. We have lots of indoor and outdoor toys. It is just 5 minutes walk to the unspoilt beach, the marina and the pretty picture postcard village.

There is a huge garden with a tyre swing at the top of the garden and a tree house for the children to play in. There are lots of outdoor and indoor toys.
The Lodge is perfect for a family. There are 2 bedrooms and it will sleep 5 comfortably. Combined with the Cottage it can be opened up to form one large holiday let if requested.
There is a cosy wood burning stove in the Lodge and we provide free fuel and kindling for guests. The lounge is large and will seat 9 or more people. which is great for family events. We have free WIFI and Netflix for our guests to enjoy.
There is a sunny conservatory which looks on to the large garden and patio area.
In the garden there is a large secure shed which guests can use to store their bikes.
Midwood Lodge is situated close to the beach, golf courses and park. The beautiful village of Alnmouth has excellent local restaurants, traditional pubs and gift shops.
It is the perfect base to explore Northumberland from, with many attractions in the area, Alnwick Castle and Gardens are just 10 minutes drive away. Bamburgh a beautiful village which has the Grace Darling Museum and it’s own imposing castle, and many stunning walks along the numerous close by beaches.
Visit Lindisfarne - Holy Island, with its amazing history of Christianity in Anglo Saxon times.
There are several golf courses in the area, including Warkworth, Foxton and Alnmouth and also many cycle tracks. We have awards for 'Families Welcome', 'Walkers Welcome' and 'Cyclists Welcome' from Visit Britain.
Alnmouth has a railway station with regular trains running south direct to Newcastle or Durham or north to Edinburgh if you fancy a day out.
Beamish Museum is also a great place to visit in County Durham it is a world famous open air museum, telling the story of life in North East England during the 1820s, 1900s & 1940s.
