In the Médoc, 20 km from Bordeaux, this former 19th century family wine-producing château, restored in 2013 , can accommodate 11 people and horse-riding enthusiasts (possibility of a stable for 3 horses). Spacious (350m2 of living space surrounded by agricultural outbuildings), authentic, it offers 5 large bedrooms each with bathroom or shower room, 2 lounges, dining room, kitchen, linen room, terrace, barbecue. 4 fireplaces, one of which is functional in the dining room. Central heating... Possibility of personal maintenance. Enclosed wooded park (2,5 ha), cyclamen carpet in autumn, mosaic swimming pool (12 x 6 m) in shape, child protection, tennis, table tennis. The porch allows you to eat out of the sun or the coolness of the evening.
Surrounding area, ocean at 30 mn, golf and Gironde at 10 mn, vineyards, grape harvests, visit of wine cellars and wine tasting (castles road), hunting, fishing, horse riding centres nearby (horse riding), vineyards, moors, beaches (Arcachon, Lacanau), historical sites, Royan.
Advantages: quick access (and no traffic jams!) 15 min from Bordeaux-Lac and the Bordeaux Exhibition Centre, avoiding the ring road.

great spot
Lovely house albeit a little quirky. Very convenient for the local vineyards and excellent facilities. Tennis court was a great way to enjoy the sunny weather

Spacious,traditional accommodation great for wine lovers.
This is a huge but charming property which easily accommodated six of us and our dog. We were there during a heatwave, making the pool essential. Also enjoyed the tennis court and BBQ in the expansive grounds neighbouring one of the many vineyards nearby. In fact if you’re a wine lover this would be perfect,there are numerous Chateaux offering wine tours. There is also a very good restaurant very close by (Nomade)which was excellent. More difficult to find though is a cafe for a morning cup of coffee,and the village of Labard itself was very quiet,hence only three stars.

Une véritable belle expérience. La maison est incroyable (plus un château q'autre chose). Belles chambres, maison très équipée, très bien située. Très bons échanges avec Angélique pour l'entrée et la sortie. Je recommande vivement.

Belle maison de charactere avec grand jardin
Très bien, pièces spacieuses et bien décorées avec meubles de la région. Cuisine moderne, bien équipée et agréable pour cuisiner, salles de bains également bien. Un jardin et un terrain de tennis que les enfants ont apprécié. Il faisait un peu frais la nuit en demi saison mais les duvets sont chauds. Nous recommandons pour une grande famille ou séjour entre amis c’est une excellente propriété.

Rural French living in wine country
This is a traditional substantial French property with great charm, original features preserved, in a great location for visiting this unique wine country, as a base for longer journeys, or simply for enjoying the on site facilities of pool, ping pong and tennis. Highly recommend .

Great Week at this Property
This was a great location to tour the Bordeaux region & all the vineyards. It is very close to Margaux. The house was clean & had a nice updated kitchen. We were surprised that the bathrooms didn't all include a toilet - we were 3 couples & had to share facilities. We enjoyed the pool & the property. We didn't use the tennis court as it was across the street & the area around it was quite overgrown. Overall we would recommend this property.

Grosszügiges Haus mit wunderbarem Pool
Wir habe mit unseren grossen Kindern und ihren Freunden in Rosemont eine wunderbare Ferienwoche erlebt. Die Räume sind sehr gross und mit viel Charme eingerichtet. Den grossen Garten mit ebenso grossem Pool konnten wir dank schönem Sommerwetter richtig geniessen. Die Küche ist modern und gut eingerichtet, und im Garten steht ein Grill zur Verfügung. Das Haus ist sehr ruhig gelegen und die Fahrt nach Bordeaux über einen Schleichweg beträgt ca. 20 Minuten. Vielen Dank, es war sehr schön!

Séjour superbe dans cette belle maison ancienne
Nous étions 11 adultes et 5 petits enfants à l'occasion d'un mariage tout près à Château Giscours. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié le cadre superbe de cette jolie maison, très appropriée pour une famille nombreuse : grand jardin, piscine sécurisée, et dans la maison des volumes qui permettent de cohabiter sans se gêner : chambres très spacieuses avec de jolis meubles anciens, grandes salles de bains, belle salle à manger avec cheminée, cuisine réellement bien équipée, buanderie ... Nous n'avons malheureusement pas eu le temps d'utiliser tennis et ping pong. Le contact sur place est une personne charmante et très disponible. L'endroit est calme, l'environnement ravissant : tout près des vignes de Château Giscours et de longues allées dans les bois. Nous reviendrons certainement car nous n'avons pas eu assez de temps pour visiter la région et ses châteaux prestigieux, Rosemont étant un endroit idéal pour rayonner et visiter la région . Une maison qui a beaucoup de charme et une âme !!! A recommander, nous reviendrons !

De l'espace, du calme et plus si affinité...
Un gite de caractère, de l'espace et même beaucoup d'espace tant dedans que dehors. Tout est prévu pour un séjour en communauté et en même temps le lieu se prête parfaitement à de petits moments d'isolement. L'équipement du lieu est très complet et convenable. il n'y aurait vraiment qu'un" mauvais coucheur" pour trouver à redire. Localisation idéale pour un séjour découverte et cerise sur le gâteau, le propriétaire est aux petits soins.

Idéal pour des vacances entre amis et en famille
Excellent niveau de confort; il ne manque rien et le propriétaire est très attentionné. Une propriété très spacieuse avec des espaces pour se retrouver en groupe mais également s'isoler si besoin. Et bien sûr une région magnifique à explorer. Nous étions 4 familles avec jeunes enfants et avons passé une très bonne semaine. Nous recommandons vivement.

substantial house and garden
A lovely large house ideal for a large family holiday. The pool and garden also added to the grandeur. A lovely grand old house with lots of character. Interesting old furnishings in all the rooms including a substantial library full of a wide selecion of books. It was ideally placed for exploring le Medoc with Chateaux Giscours a stones throw away for a start! I would recommend this spot to anyone wishing a quiet relaxing holiday sampling the local produce interspersed with outings to the local towns and villages. Holmes H Scotland

situation fantastique & calme proche de Bordeaux
Nous avons eu un séjour formidable dans cet édifice historique. Comme nous devions aller à Bordeaux chaque jour ce fut aussi un excellent emplacement dans le pays du vin, mais pas loin de la ville à tous. La propriété possède également un très grand jardin et nous avons passé des soirées très agréables en dehors barbecue. Nous aurions bien aimé rester plus longtemps et l'utilisation de la piscine plus souvent.
