At the gates of Deauville and Trouville this typical Normandy style ancient house comes with a lovely garden, a pool (11 x4 m) and a guest house. The mainhouse has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and a dining room/ living with a beautiful fire place. The guesthouse consists of one bedroom with shower and a small kitchen.
Deauville and Trouville are close by and very popular because of their fine restaurants, designer shops and off course the race courses! All the famous Thouroughbred studfarms are sourrounding Deauville and are worth a visit. If you wish a visit to join the racehorse training in the morning this can be arranged!

Fantastic pool and outside area

Fantastic stay in this beautiful house. Not ideal for a wheelchair but we managed. Would have liked a washing line as a small thing. Some of our party thought the kitchen was very dated but I found it functional. In all we loved it and we will be back im sure 😃

Family Holiday

Our Villa was just perfect for our family holiday. We loved it’s authentic style, it was indeed just beautiful. The children and grandchildren loved the pool and I loved my early morning swim every day. The spacious grounds were ideal for our dog to run and play. We loved the annex, ideal to have the use of the toilet close by the pool. The owner of the property was a first class host in welcoming us, giving local information and taking us for a first class trip on his yacht. It was a memorable holiday and we would definitely like to return to this charming Norman property in the future.

Hat Spaß gemacht!

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Ferienwoche in diesem charmanten Ferienhaus! Toller Pool, den wir ausgiebig nutzen konnten. Der großzügige Garten ist komplett umzäunt. Sehr praktisch, wenn man wie wir, mit Hunden unterwegs ist. Die Lage ist ebenfalls super, aber man sollte keine ländliche Ruhe erwarten. Das Haus liegt an einer stark befahrenen Straße. Insgesamt ist das Haus und das kleine Gästehaus sehr charmant, könnte aber hier und da eine kleine Auffrischung bekommen. Es ist rustikal, was den tollen Charakter des Hauses ausmacht. Ein wenig mehr Sauberkeit würde es aber noch schöner machen! Insgesamt hat alles prima geklappt. Unkomplizierte Kommunikation mit dem ebenfalls charmanten Vermieter.

Lovely home in a lovely place

We had a generally good stay with Phillipe. The pool was great and it was a good location for orchards, beach towns, and sites in Normandy. Phillipe was helpful and warm. There was an issue with communication when he never got our email about Wifi being down/needing fans (VRBO's messaging was down, though, so I don't want to point fingers as he could have been looking for a message there!)

Charming Normandy home

We stayed at this home in Normandy for 3 nights after after a visit to Paris. It was my husband and I and our 3 teenagers. We found the home to be filled with charm and gave us the feeling of Normandy we were looking for. We wanted to experience the history of the area. Phillippe was a wonderful host and was easy to communicate with before and during out stay. He provided many suggestions for places to eat and visit which we appreciated. The pool in the backyard was a pleasant respite at the end of our travel days to Omaha beach. We cooked dinner in the kitchen 2 nights and ate outside on the patio which was peaceful and private. (We loved our day trip north to the town of Etretat to see the white cliffs and lovely beach.)

Great Pool

The grounds of the property allowed us to enjoy our stay without worring about any neighbours and the pool was amazing. The seperate annex was perfect for my elderly mother as it was all on one level Unforunatly the bedroom details were incorrect as it stated there were five beds ( one bedroom containing two beds) , this was one of the factors why we booked this property ,so my granddaughter could sleep in the same room as her parents, we had to make up a bed for her. The kitchen was a little small , but well stocked with pans and glasses ect. The host was easy to communicate with us and kept intouch. Would recommend a stay , but you will need a car as there are no local resturants or cafes.

Great place!

We've had a great time in Canapville! The house is nice althouth we had some issues with the plumbing. The master bedroom is very nice. The 2 other bedrooms are quite small... Philippe is a great guy and very hospitbable!! Despite these minor issues we've had a great time! Thank you Philippe!

Superbes vacances

Séjour en Pays d’Auge

Un superbe séjour en Pays d’Auge. La maison est très bien située… à proximité de Deauville et proche de Touques (village de caractère) et Pont l’Evêque. Perfect location for our adventures in Normandy

The house and the location were perfect for our vacation! Philippe was extremely pleasant and accommodating, making great suggestions for dining out (and grocery shopping when we had arrived on a Sunday afternoon). We traveled with my mother-in-law who has some mobility concerns, making the addition of the guest house (an efficiency with galley kitchen and bedroom and sitting area all on one floor) a perfect solution. The house and the grounds were quaint, well maintained and just the right amount of rustic. We love to cook, and while the kitchen is not a gourmet kitchen by any means, it had everything we needed, and we turned out spectacular meals when we dined in. The location was perfect - we explored the entire region from Utah Beach to Etretat to Rouen, making stops at small local villages that were recommended to us in between. At the end of the day, we looked forward to coming back to the house, jumping in the pool and relaxing on the patio. It was a fantastic week in Deauville!

Un très bon séjour dans une belle longère normande

Notre séjour dans cette longère normande c'est très bien déroulé. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié l'accueil de Philippe nôtre hôte qui nous a recommandé plusieurs bonnes adresses dans le coin. La maison est spacieuse et très bien équipée. La cheminée et le piscine chauffée sont de vrais plus. La proximité avec la département n'a pas été gênante. Agréable weekend

Nous avons passé un agréable weekend dans cette jolie demeure typiquement normande. L'ambiance est cosy, joli jardin entretenu avec piscine. La literie est bonne, il y a le nécessaire en cuisine. La communication avec le propriétaire est aisée. La maison se trouve facilement. Étant de la région nous avons pu faire découvrir à nos invités, les villes d'Honfleur et de Deauville qui sont à proximité. Tout le monde était ravi du séjour !

A EVITER

Accueil cordial mais sans le moindre respect des gestes barrières COVID. Les nombreuses toiles d'araignées et la poussière présente nous laisse à penser que le forfait " ménage" et le respect contractuel de la charte "COVID" sont bafoués. La maison est au bord de la départementale 677 à quelques mètres de la sortie d’autoroute et sur la route menant à Deauville. Les vitres des chambres de l’étage laissent passer les bruits des véhicules et notamment des nombreux camions empruntant cette route très passante de jour comme de nuit. Enfin, 15 jours après notre séjour notre carte bleue a été débitée d'un montant astronomique en rapport (soit disant) avec un W.C bouché par des lingettes "spécial Wc" alors qu’aucune annotation n’indiquait de ne pas les utiliser. Nous avions signalé au propriétaire qu’une odeur nauséabonde s’échappait de la seconde salle de bain. Une simple remarque de fosse septique à purger nous a été présentée sans un mot d'excuse. Nous avions entamé une démarche à l’amiable en contactant le propriétaire mais il précise être en droit "de faire ce que bon lui semble" , et nous raccroche au nez. Bref à fuir.

On rêve tous de revenir l’année prochaine !

Un endroit idyllique en pays d’Auge , au plus près de la nature . Pont l’Eveque est à 5 mn et Deauville aussi. La maison est décorée avec goût et on s’y sent tellement bien . La piscine chauffée à 28° C a fait la joie des petits et des grands .

Eine tolle Ferienwoche

Wir waren eine Woche in diesem typisch normannischen Häusschen. Wir waren 6 Personen und ein grosser Hund. Wir haben auch das kleine Gästehaus mitbenutzt. Das Häusschen an sich ist sehr stilvoll möbliert. Vorallem der Wohnbereich und das grosse Schlafzimmer. Küche ist voll ausgetattet und auch sauber. Alles ist aber sehr urchig und rustikal. Was uns aber keineswegs störte. Die 2 kleineren Schlafzimmer im 1OG teilen sich ein Bad/WC mit Duschwanne. Das grosse Schlafzimmer hat ein offenes Bad mit WC. Keine Stehdusche. Wir hatten Wetterglück und konnten auch den Pool die ganze Woche benützen. Auch mit dem Hund wars kein Problem da der Garten eingezäunt ist. Auch der grosse Barbecueplatz wurde von uns genutzt was wirklich toll ist. Das Häusschen liegt direkt an einer Hauptstrasse. Was für ruheliebende ein wenig störend sein kann in der Nacht. Alles in allem eine tolle Ferienwoche.
