We all had a fantastic stay in this property. The few very minor issues that we had were sorted very quickly by the owner and communication was excellent. I would throughly recommend this property to family and friends as the owner was very accommodating especially with Covid rules constantly changing. We all hope to visit again in the future.
Beautiful location and a fabulous property to compliment it.
Fantastic property which met all our needs. Organisation and communication with the owners was great. We will greatly miss the views from the windows and morning coffee on the terrace, as well as any other opportunity to sit on it and take in the views, tranquility, and the headspace it provides.
The house is spacious and well equipped for a couple of families. The jetty beside the house provided much entertainment for the kids when fishing and crabbing and walks from the house were great. We ate out for a birthday meal at the Royal An Lochan which is a short walk - lovely food, and went via the car to places within 30 minutes including Tarbert, Otters Ferry and Ostel Bay which were all recommended and great places.
If you are after peace and quiet, unspoilt stunning scenery and nature, a lack of people and uncommercialised and uncrowded locations, this is definitely the place. It was exactly what we needed and we all had a great time.
Lovely property with plenty of space for any group to relax and chill out. Spent a week with family and my father enjoyed watching the sail boats pass each day. Scenery is stunning and property location next to the Tighnabruaich Hotel is ideal.
What a place ! Can’t recommend this house enough .. lots of space and the evening sun down views over bute were brilliant. Lots to do and bonus of being dog friendly. Will defo be back ! Thanks to the hosts. Cheers again Nick
Lovely property, large and spacious, clean and tidy. Excellent setting. Good communication with owner so always felt that if we did have a problem it would be resolved quickly and without issue. My only minor criticism would be that I think the property needs a little bit of TLC and by this I only mean a few lights bulbs need replacing, door handles need looking at (especially the one out onto the balcony), a couple of the bathroom fittings are loose (towel rails, loo roll holders), kitchen cupboard handles - that sort of thing. If the owner could stretch to a new washing machine that would be amazing. Overall, we would certainly rent the property again and recommend to friends, the locals are extremely friendly and helpful and we would recommend any of the local pubs and tearooms. Beautiful part of the world.
if you have ever wanted to stay somewhere right on the beach then this is for you. This is the best located property I have ever stayed in, with the possible exception of the Maldives! Incredibly peaceful and beautiful.

Just Perfect
Fabulous quiet location and a great property that was ideal for the three generations of our family. Some of the family only came for 3 days. They all wished they had stayed longer. We're looking to book again later on this year.

Wonderful location, 5 star accommodation
Superb, spacious accommodation, which was a hit with the three generations who stayed! The ample living accommodation was suited for chilling, gaming and hanging out watching the bird life. The many bathrooms suited us well. Comfortable throughout and well equipped. The stunning views from the property were forever changing with the tides, and made peaceful watching. The local information provided was useful in planning our stay. We can't fault it!

Spacious, well equipped, excellent interior, stunning views and every bedroom like a hotel room!
We’ve just returned from a fabulous week on Argyll’s Secret Coast and I had to write this review. What a week we had! The tropical weather helped us to make great use of the stunning balcony. We sat and watched the wildlife just play in front of us - porpoises, herons, swans, oyster catchers, cormorant... on our drives out we saw deer frolicking in the woods! Sadly, we missed the seals but not to worry we’ll be back! The house was just perfect for our family, we had our own space and enjoyed every room in the property. The kitchen was great to cook in, with everything you could wish for. The bedrooms and bathrooms were just fantastic - each one with a TV! This was great when retiring to bed, after a hard day taking in the spectacular Argyll coast. The local pub “The Tiggy Hotel” was just a stones throw away and is just what you need - good beer and hearty food. The locals couldn’t be more friendly. Thank you Waterside, great memories made in a special place.

Heaven on earth
This is a reluctant review as when word spreads about this property we may struggle to book again! The most well designed and thought out property with incredible views across to bute all to be enjoyed from the 18m balcony. Couple that with a walk out the back door to shops and restaurants in a really lovely and friendly village with fishing for kids off the nearby pontoon (25x mackrel in one session!) and probably the most scenic golf course just up the road, just fantastic. One blocked bath trap during the stay and penny on the case, plumber in at 9am and fixed therefore you can rely on this owner to do all they can to ensure you have best experience. House was spotlessly clean and bedrooms better than most high end boutique hotels.
The nearby £10 million port vadie leisure complex offers indoor and outdoor pools and spa, like bathwater outside enabling you to relax and enjoy amazing views of loch whatever the weather.
You can see from the very grand stone built victorian houses that the village was a place for the rich to holiday back in the day and it hasnt lost any of its grandure.
Like most we normally go further north into the highlands but due to elderly family on this trip decided to stay a bit further south and whilst the area doesnt have the big munros, it has its own special feel and character which really took us by surprise.
This is probably the best cottage we have stayed at in the last twenty years and beleive me when I say I am fussy!
Huge thankyou to penny for giving us a memory that we will never forget and for sharing her wonderful home with us and we would love to return.

Great Property, Fantastic View
The property is very modern and large, more so than in the photos. The kitchen was well fitted out with everything required and the lounge and sun-rooms particularly comfortable. Great idea to have the TV in the sun-room and none in the lounge with the alternative of using the games room as well. The four en-suite bedrooms are very comfortable with the two front rooms having the fantastic views to Bute. Even in the fairly wet weather it was a pleasure to sit and watch the tides change and views come and go, and when the sun did shine, there's no better view to be had. The property is in the centre of the small village of Tignhabruich which meant there was the opportunity to shop locally at the small store and several alternatives for eating out whilst plenty to do within walking distance. The bistro Botanica is particulalry fine for morning coffees and evening meals. Getting aroung the Bute and the Cowal Peninsula and over to he Mull of Kintyre is very easy using the brilliant CalMac ferries. Overall, we'd return in a moment.
