Fantastic cottage far from the madding crowd.
This cottage has all the comforts a traveller could possibly want.....clean comfortable bed, plenty of space, full size fridge, dishwasher, washing machine and peace and quiet......except for the friendly sheep in the paddock next door who let you know they are there every now and then. Wifi and TV reception is quite satisfactory considering the location of the cottage and the host is conscientious about recycling, providing separate bins in the kitchen. We found this cottage to be the perfect base to explore the Pembrokeshire Coast NP.

Great stay
My five year old son and I stayed for three nights and loved the quiet countryside and clean air. There are walks and other places to see and things to do as mentioned in the hosts book. We went to the Cardigan Coastal farm park (great if you have a child) and also to Gwmbert for the 'A bay to remember' boat ride to spot the seals. Oveall, a great short trip.

Fantastic break in Wales
We loved our break at Buzzards Watch - We were welcomed by some friendly chickens who ran over to greet us, and Neil who was a fantastic host with plenty of helpful pointers for where to eat/drink locally. It was just what we were looking for and would 100% recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Wales.

Amazing place to stay
If I’m honest then I would want to keep this place hidden from everyone else. It was a great experience. The house was clean and had everything we needed. We loved the game room, chicken roaming free and nature we were surrounded by. The local pub had very good food. We were very lucky with the weather too! Definitely planning to return. Thanks for having us!

Perfect location for a romantic get away
The cottage was situated in the middle of the country away from everything and it was absolutely perfect. There a many local villages which was beautiful and you could get everything you needed. The cottage was perfect. Clean, warm and had everything we needed. Chris and claire were very welcoming and were at hand should we have needed anything. My partner and I visited many places while we were there. The area was full of Welsh culture and we loved it. The location was just perfect for our romantic get away. We would not hesitate to return :-)

Lovely property in a lovely location
This is a lovely property. On arrival we were greeted by Chris who told us were the keys were and how to get in, etc. This is one of few properties that we have stayed in that had the heating on and was warm for when we arrived. A warm welcome is always nice. Once inside the property you are welcomed by some lovely cake, tea, coffee & milk. We had pretty much everything we needed here, a real home from home. All the utensils and pots you could need were there. One thing we would have like was some washing up liquid, however this wasn't a big issue as we bought some when we were next in a supermarket. We were provided with dishwasher tablets, however we do prefer to wash up as we go. We were also provided with washing powder which was a nice extra. We had full control of the heating which is always a plus. The bed was very comfortable. We were left plenty of towels and wash stuff in the bathroom. It was a fantastic couples retreat with brilliant views. One thing that slightly let the property down for us was the internet and tv signal. The internet was the main issue for us. The rare time that we could see the wifi signal it was only 1 bar of signal which we couldn't stay connected to for very long. We also had no phone signal. We like to walk during the day, however if we want to change our plans we do rely heavily on internet access to this. Having barely any internet access nor phone signal did prove quite challenging. The tv signal was also a bit hit and miss. Some nights we got all the channels, other nights we only had signal on a few. Overall we did enjoy our stay here. We would definitely recommend the property and return if we were to stay in the area again. Thank you for a pleasant stay.

We bought Valley View Cottages in March 2016 after a long search for a suitable “lifestyle” business. We fell in love with the property within minutes of arriving on a beautiful sunny day in August 2015.

Clare has a passion for craft work especially hand painting old furniture to give it a new lease of life and you may find some examples in your cottage when you stay! Chris, having worked in manufacturing for 25 years is looking forward to sprucing up the grounds, growing vegetables and generally just spending as much time outside as possible.

Chris is a keen cyclist, both on and off road so will be able to advise on suitable routes for cycling visitors, whilst both Clare and Chris are keen walkers (along with Milo).

The original owners, Jim and Sarah moved to West Wales in October 2007, after relocating from Maidenhead

Milo
Milo
Berkshire in search of a ‘Life in the Country’. The property they found comprised of two Welsh stone barns and a detached house sitting in 3 acres of gardens and woodland, with amazing views across surrounding fields and valleys. The barns needed a huge amount of work in order to turn them into luxury holiday cottages, but plans were quickly drawn up and planning was granted at the end of March 2008. Work began immediately.

When you come to Valley View Cottages for your holiday, you will be guaranteed a very warm welcome from us and our small but very friendly dog Milo.

We are very fortunate to be surrounded by superb wildlife, namely the magnificent buzzards which we have living in the woods at the top of the trac

Why they chose this property

Buzzards watch is a one-bedroomed cottage on two-levels, with the open-plan living area/kitchen located upstairs to take advantage of the superb views across the valley and to catch the evening sun. There is a patio area with garden furniture and an enclosed lawn area surrounding the cottage plus a little bistro table and chairs at the top of the stairs so you can capture the sun no matter what time of the day.

What makes this property unique

All the properties have views across the beautiful valley, including a footpath into the woods taking you to a number of locations. We are within walking distance of a great pub with friendly locals and landlady along with great food. Local towns and beaches within 20 minutes drive which will leave you wanting more each time you visit!
