the property has lots of character and charm, nested on a quiet and peaceful hill in the Dordogne valley set amongst outstanding natural beauty.
Great walks on the door step and for the more adventurous there is kayaking and many other outdoor activities.

Wonderfull days in Castelnaud
Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Urlaub in Castelnaud. Das Haus, der Pool und der Garten sind sehr groß, super gemütlich, sehr gepflegt und sauber. Die Lage ist toll. Wir können dieses Haus uneingeschränkt empfehlen und kommen sehr gerne wieder.

ALOJAMIENTO ESPECIAL Y SINGULAR
Lugar encantador, si no quieres estar en el centro de Sarlat (30 minutos en coche). Muy agradable y acogedor. Hemos disfrutado muchisimo la chimenea y la barbacoa. Todo muy limpio y ordenado, pero deberian tener los productos básicos, como sal, azucar, aceite y vinagre, sobretodo teniendo en cuenta que la tienda más cercana está a 30 min.

Amazing property
This property has all mod cons! It is a home from home. The pool is salt water and really refreshing. The garden was full of lovely fruit trees and it also has air conditioning so you can cool down when sleeping. We loved it and would love to return. The village below is picturesque and we saw hot air balloons every evening taking off from the friend behind us. Perfect for relaxing and getting away from it all!

Exceptional gîte in perfect location
A gem of a find! This gîte is spacious, very comfortable and with everything you need included, and the garden is fully enclosed. Its location on the hill above the village of Castelnaud-la-Chapelle is perfect - very easy to get to lots of the castles and main tourist sites within a 20 minute drive. We loved it here and hope to return again soon. Thank you!

Très belle location, bien équipée. Emplacement proche des sites touristiques. Au calme avec belle piscine. Seul petit bémol, difficulté de manoeuvres pour entrer dans la propriété avec une grosse voiture.

Allez y les yeux fermés
Sublime endroit situé au cœur des grandes visites de la région. Un calme olympien à deux pas de villes animées. La maison est magnifique, parfaitement bien équipée. Mention spéciale à la personne qui s'occupe du ménage pour son travail méticuleux. L'arrivée sans contact est pratique en cette période. Nous avons passé 3 semaines au paradis et nous y reviendrons car la région a tellement encore à découvrir.

Charmante et confortable maison idéalement située en Périgord Noir
Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour. La propriété est idéalement situé car très proche des lieux de visite et pourtant isolée et au calme. Le jardin est assez grand et savamment organisé (jolis arbustes, décoration zen). La maison est très bien équipée et l'intérieur est décoré avec goût. C'est une excellente adresse que nous recommandons et que nous reprendrons certainement pour continuer notre découverte du Périgord.

Lovely property, well located and easy to enjoy
We very much enjoyed our stay in Christophe's home. This restored barn is very nicely decorated with all the features we required--a lovely pool, a shaded and delightful outdoor eating area and a nice cocktail hour seating arrangement. We enjoyed watching the hot-air balloons soar above us as we sipped our champagne. The beds were comfortable though not having AC in the two bottom bedrooms was a bit of a challenge for the hotter days. The loft-style master bedroom may not be convenient for non-family groups. As it was we gave this to our older kids so they could stay up late without disturbing us. But all in all, this is a first-rate property and a great home base for exploring the Dordogne. Highly recommend.

Une maison très confortable
Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans cette jolie maison à Castelnaud La Chapelle. Elle est très bien agencée, joliment décorée et très agréable à vivre. La piscine, souvent nettoyée, a tenu toutes ses promesses et l’air conditionné nous a été bien utile pendant quelques jours de forte chaleur. La localisation est idéale pour rayonner dans le Périgord, tout en restant au calme.
