The location was great. You are right across the rd from beach access. You have places to eat and shop within walking distance. The Solomons are very hospitable and went above and beyond for my family. The place was nice and ckean and had a very homey fill and there was plenty of room. I cantbsay enough about the owners but i will definitely be booking the next trip around the availability of this property.
The unit is a short walk to the beach. In fact many people will park their cars or golf carts in the paid street parking spaces around the unit.
Everything was clean and safe. Lots of kitchen and den space. Good bedrooms and bathrooms. Huge couch for kids to nap on after a long day in the sun.
Definitely will rent the unit again.
The location was great, but the vibes were not good. To start, there is an astronomical deposit. Somewhere to the tune of a FEW THOUSAND DOLLARS. You can opt out by purchasing non-refundable insurance(of course).
There were threatening signs up saying if you LEFT THE DOOR OPEN too long they would take your deposite and evict you. Really unnecessary, and not cool especially at $300+ a night.
In addition to the threatening signs:
-There was one small bar of hotel soap between two bathrooms
-There was 1 tube of folders instant coffee
-The bath towels in the 2nd bathroom were soured
It was a nice location and comfortable, but at that price i didnt appreciate some of these things. Would not stay here again unless managment improved. Ive had better amenities at a budget hotel.
What a wonderful property on North Tybee. Short walk across a quiet street to a beach access, impeccably clean, and just as close to a yummy ice cream parlor. A variety of pleasant touches in the apartment and on the property itself to make everything easy and comfortable. Our last-minute getaway was more than we could have hoped for. Thanks for making us welcome!
Spacious, loved the short walk to the beach and all of the seating areas around the property. Wish the weather could have been a little cooler to enjoy them all.
Location, location, location! It was perfect! We had a wonderful stay. The place was clean, the beds were amazing (the most comfortable beds we've ever slept in), and the location was amazing!! We would stay here again when we come back. The decor is old, so if you're looking for something more modern you won't find it here. BUT, if you are okay with some dated decor and a little age this is the place for you. You can't beat the location. The beach access is just a few steps away and is on the north end of the beach. We found it to be the best end of the beach. It was almost like a private beach (although it's not) but it was never crowded like it is closer to the pier. The court yard offered a lot of fun. There was a nice gas grill we used to grill steaks (the IGA on the island has amazing steaks and at a reasonable price). The court yard has corn hold which we enjoyed as well. There is no washer and dryer, but the laundry mat is just across the street. We would stay here again and highly recommend it.
We were late to the game in booking our spring break vacation and were happy to find this property available. The location was very good - just short walk to the beach and several restaurants. The property was clean and met our needs.
Clean, comfortable and cozy. Beach access directly across the street. Sugar Shack ice cream is a must have. Pizza on Wheels also delicious. Beds were very comfortable as was the living room. Would stay again!

Very roomy and very close to beach & restaurants !
Spacious upstairs 2 bedroom and 2 bath apartment gave us (4 adults and 2 children) lots of room. The 3 couches allowed us plenty of comfortable lounging. The rental had 2 balconies and a beautifully decorated common area outside. There is a uniquely decorated outside shower. Short walk to beach, three restaurants, and a convenience store. The apartment is the 2nd building behind Sugar Shack which makes it so convenient to walk to breakfast, lunch, dinner, and that afternoon delicious ice cream or milkshake!! FYI: bring extra towels and wash cloths if staying a week or more. No washer and dryer, but Tybee laundromat is near.
The owners are the best!! They quickly got the living room's 2nd air conditioner going for us. We had one bedroom air conditioner not working properly. The owners promptly checked it out, made a few adjustments to get us through the night, followed up with us the next morning, and installed a new air conditioner. They made sure we were comfortable and cool in the unit this hot, humid July!!

The closest you can get to the beach for the lowest price!
We were literally 200 feet from the beach. The public access walkway was right across the street from the house, and it was one of the only access points that had a mat running all the way down to the shore. This made pushing a cart as easy as humanly possible! The house was perfectly climate controlled, even though they only had window units! The kitchen needs updating, but it was massive and allows you to cook easily for 6 people. We would stay here again, especially in the off season, when the already affordable price is even lower.

Cute Little Place
Walking distance to the beach, as in, the beach access ramp is right there when you exit the building, which was definitely a plus for us. As someone who had never been to Tybee Island before, I wasn't aware that this wasn't near all the shops and restaurants, but there are still some really cool places to check out within walking distance. The "main area" to go on the island was only about a mile or so away, so it wasn't a deal breaker. The beach house is definitely dated but nice. It could use a couple of updates. One of the double bed mattresses was extremely concave and the other had a loud squeak to it with every movement the sleeping person made. The A/C units in the unit could also use some replacing, as they are very loud, so it's just something to be aware of if you are a light sleeper. The location was the selling factor for me, the space was large enough for two couples to be in comfortably, and it was a nice quiet area. Also, be aware that the outside area is for use by all of the units in the building - again, not a deal breaker by any means, but something to note.

Very, very clean. Nice location and well kept.
This was a very nice place. All appliances worked well and everything was well kept. The location is great! Got to the beach in two minutes walk. All AC units worked well and kept the place very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

We loved The Shipwatch property
We were very happy with our stay at The Shipwatch. The place was cute, clean, and comfortable. It was hot outside while we were there, but the place stayed nice and cool the entire time we were there. We loved having the outside decks and the proximity to the beach was prefect! Pat has everything there that you would need! We loved it and hope to come back someday! I would recommend this place to anyone!
