Fantastic Villa and Gardens. Quiet Location. Great Friendly Service
Wow! We loved it! Nikos was very helpful and responsive throughout the booking and stay. He arranged the minibus for airport runs and had the hire car deliver and pick up from the villa. We had use of a mobile phone to get in touch quickly if we had any issues throughout our stay.
We were a group of 6 adults and 3 kids (6-11yrs) and were all more than impressed when we arrived. The photos on here need to be updated to show it off more. The villa is clean, spacious and very homely. A double room downstairs along with a twin room and bathroom, these shared an AC unit, You can shut the hallway door to benefit. Lounge had AC. Upstairs, second bathroom, a large double room with AC and further bedroom that had 2 single beds and smaller child’s bed (not a full size single, but large enough for 6yr old), this had AC too. Each bedroom had access to a veranda and all rooms have fly screens so you can open windows at night happily. There is a large upstairs patio that you can have sunbeds on and look over the mountains. Wi-Fi is good. The pool was a fab size. The round part is all one depth and shallow and is gated off from deep end. Grass and grounds are kept pristine. Sprinklers are used every night - so anything left to dry on main veranda or sunbeds at night may get wet! The whole place is surrounded by wall and electric gates.
You need a car. We had one for supermarket runs (about 20min drive away). The nearest main village. Ag. Mattheos is about 15 min drive away you will find places to eat and bars but this is not a tourist location. If you want karaoke, tat supermarkets etc. this is not the place. It is beautiful and friendly.
There are tavernas in walking distance, all good. Spririos’s less than 5 min walk. Nikolas Taverna less than 10 min walk and on way to beach. Alonaki Bay is about 15 min walk, larger taverna overlooking the sea. Roads are very dark at night and although rural, roads can be busy so use phones or torch for light.
Halikouna is a sandy beach about 10 mins walk away. Clear shallow waters, toilets and showers. Sunbeds to rent (2 euros a bed, 7 euros for 2 beds and umbrella). Beach bar serving good selection of drinks and snacks including chips, hotdogs and toasted sandwiches). Paddle boarding, pedloes, wind surfing available.
Our stay gave us the chance to catch up as an extended family; relax in the sunshine and pool, play sports, play cards altogether and have space to avoid each other if needed :)
