About this property
SPARROW HOUSE - HOUSE SPARROW
the house is located in the center of a small ancient village, halfway between Orvieto and Bolsena, surrounded by a beautiful garden with olive trees - in 10 minutes by car you can reach the historic center of Orvieto or the lake of Bolsena. The two-storey house is equipped with all comforts and is recently renovated, on the ground floor in a beautiful porch overlooking the garden, completely fenced, it is possible to eat outside.
The house is located in the small village of Sugano dating back to the 4th century BC. C., when the first Etruscan communities settled in the countryside surrounding the Orvieto cliff. In 1115 a village existed with certainty and in 1278, when the borders of the plovers (the ancient villages) were established, Sugano was the XXXVI of the municipality of Orvieto. Later it was a fief of the Monaldeschi della Cervara and stronghold of the county of Bolsena. He was therefore involved in all the events that affected those areas and then identified more and more with Orvieto.
the house was built in the early 1960s and was inhabited by our family up to 5 years ago, it was renovated in 2008.
